   It was not authentic Japanese food. It’s very fast to be served, like fast food. Quality of the food we had is 2 out of 5. I didn’t really enjoy it. Cost performance for these plates we ordered were not good. The waiters were responsive and friendly.

   The waiter was fantastic, funny, told us we had ordered a lot of food for 4 people and he was spot on From the time you walk in to the time you leave the staff were fantastic The food was plentiful and really good

   Awesome experience at Chocolate Buddha on a Friday night. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. One of the party was a coeliac and the gluten free options were explained clearly and comprehensively. Food was absolutely delicious and great for the price. Some of the stool seating may not be for everyone, but other than that, a wonderful location, atmosphere and experience!

   We have been coming to Chocolate Buddha for the past 16 years & every time we are so well looked after & made feel very special. The food & service is second to none! Outstanding in every way… keep doing what you are doing ❤️

    First time eating here in years. Just because there are so many options in Melbourne. Fond memories led us back, and once again, they did not disappoint. I will be back with my partner soon.

    Wait staff paid little attention to us, served other tables (that arrived later) first, offered them a menu (we ordered using the app because it was unclear that there was any alternative). This group ordered after we had ordered via the app, but their food came earlier. Food was only fair

    Always amazingly consistent, great service and a vegetarians dream menu with so much flavour and yummy choices. Our favourite Japanese in Melbourne and always first choice for dining when having a night out in the city,as I’m from Geelong.

    Great location, menu, ambience, service, food and drinks. Lots to choose from ...even those who are gluten free and have allergies. Energetic and fun atmosphere. Staff were knowledgeable, helpful and friendly - even my perfect latte had a smiley face. Food was clean and delicious and our party of 5 all felt satisfied and had a good time at lunch. I recommend the Sake taster boards as well.

    Gorgeous meal at an outdoor table. Food was delicious and delivered to the table very quickly. Under an hour meant we easily made it to our show at The Forum.

    Chocolate Buddha is always friendly and clean. The food is consistently good, and the service is always right on the money. That is why it is one of my favourite drop-in places for dinner before an event in the city or even a special occasion with friends and family. The entire team always excel. There is never any doubt "I'll be back" :-)

    I have been going to chocolate Buddha for many years even before their renovation after a visit to the NGV or another outing in the city . Wonderful to see the continuity of staff. Service was fast and the food was great. No one makes a shake ramen like them. I plan to continue going in the future.

    overpriced and underwhelming the food was average at best I don't consider using a QR code to order "service." The waitress was rude and patronizing. on one acknowledged us as we left or enquired if we had enjoyed our meal. the food did come out in a timely fashion but the waiter touched the rim of our drinks when moving the to place food down. not appropriate! definitely won't be back and definitely won't recommend this place

    The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating to our large group. The food was superb, plated beautifully and tasted great. We were seated outside with shelter from the sunlight and a view of the sunset. There were no faults other than a couple of confusions with meals which is expected with a large group, I will definitely be back, thankyou!
