Really good food and atmosphere overall. What annoyed us was on 4 occasions during our ordering of the meal and while in the middle of it being told we had a 2 hour slot. We were in conversation among ourselves and this broke our chat also which was really rude! We knew at the start it was 2hrs and we're there with 2 children so we were well gone in the 2hrs. I'd say it one when taking order and again after 1:50 to remind customers

We booked a table in the cabin. It was very cold and we had to ask 3 times for the heating to be put on. 7 of us had main courses and desert. Thought for the location it was pretty pricey. Most of the main courses were great, especially the roast of the day. The chicken and beef burgers were mediocre as was the pizza. The deserts were a little dissapointing. The serving staff were exceptional.

We had Dinner indoors in the gastro lounge . Food was good , service was great . Staff were lovely. Tables were a little tightly bunched together was my only negative. I would definitely recommend a meal here . Myself and my wife will be coming again .

Disappointing experience. Asked for half portion of beef with just mash and gravy for a child and came out with stuffing, on pointing this out it was replaced 🙂 Had to send back my husbands beef dinner as it was only just barely warm, this was returned hot 🙂 . A picture frame/notice fell onto our table catching my husband on the side of his head, knocking over a full measure of wine that he had just got. One of the waiting staff came to see if he was ok and did apologise, however ghe final straw was when I asked for the bill we had been charged for the knocked over glass of wine.. This was annoying but when I pointed out to the waiting staff that it should be removed from the bill and that I thought this was the very least they could do, it was removed... When I went to pay the guy at the cash point asked if everything was OK, I reluctantly said 'not really" and explained the situation to him..I settled up for the amount we had been charged for our food and drink..At the very least I thought we may have been offered a drink on the house as a gesture of good will after what happened. We were not..🙄 Pity as the food is really nice here, we've been a few times, and I know everywhere has off days now and then, but unfortunately I won't be returning any time soon....Sorry.

Service is great. Staff friendly. Place was very cold very little heating on. Menu good but food not great. Fish was soggy and the goats cheese salad was not as described on menu and fridge cold and a bit tasteless for the price.

Cookes is a family favourite and rarely disappoints! Family of four, starters and mains, with one dessert - €140 including drinks. Menu on Open Table is out of date and needs to be changed!

This is our 5th visit and it gets better each time. Food was outstanding, the fillet steaks were to die for. This is now our goto restaurant of choice and I'm always recommending it to my clients. Can't wait for out next visit.

The staff were friendly and engaging, and very attentive without being annoying, the ambience was lovely, it wasn't noisy, nice and warm even though we were near a door there was no draught. It was busy despite us having an early booking, but despite this we couldn't hear other people's conversations and we didn't have to shout over noise at each other. I would recommend
