We just arrived Edinburgh, and needed to eat. Nice, clean and cosy restaurant, not too loud inside. Very good service, polite and attentive. The food was also good. chicken a bit dry, but the steak was really good! Good value for the money I would say

Waited over an hour for our food. We were told it was busy and would be 30 mins. Steaks arrived cold so we ended up eating as separate groups as food all arrived at different times. To be fair the cold steaks were replaced completely but spoiled a little by chips and French beans clearly being reheated. Our server was very nice and really helpful. She got sides taken off the bill to compensate but wasn’t enough really. Disappointed as have been to this restaurant a number of times before and always been really good

Hi, thank you for your feedback. We're sorry to hear about the long wait for your food and the issues with the temperature and timing of the dishes, which understandably impacted your experience and meant your group couldn't enjoy the meal together. This is not the standard we aim to deliver, and we will be addressing your comments seriously with the team. We're pleased to hear your server was helpful and did her best to assist on the day, and we appreciate you taking the time to share your experience, especially as you've enjoyed previous visits with us. We hope you'll give us another chance in the future, and thank you for your feedback as we'll use your comments to do better next time.

Consistent experience but doesn’t have the historical appeal anymore, changed a lot under the new ownership.

The waiting staff were excellent throughout the evening. The soufflé I chose as a starter was not as I expected with the sauce not tasting particularly cheesy and it was extremely runny. Our main courses of duck confit were lovely and we appreciated the bottomless fries.

Thank you for your feedback. We're delighted to hear that our team provided excellent service throughout the evening and that you enjoyed the duck confit and our signature free-flow fries. We're sorry that the cheese soufflé wasn't quite to your taste, but we appreciate you sharing your comments. We hope to welcome you back to Côte again soon.

We have been regular customers at Cote and we have noticed a small drop in quality of food in the last 6 months. Not sure why but the quality and flavour has not been so good.

Very friendly, welcoming staff. Allowed me to linger at the bar until our group began to arrive separately. Relaxed about some of the group running late. Given plenty of time to enjoy our evening, no rush to retrieve the table. Staff were attentive and v helpful. Food was generally v much enjoyed. Scallops were delicious although the sauce was a little sharp. Pork belly was fabulous. No complaints
