   Restaurant was very busy but we were still served promptly. Ordered the thai food which was delicious. Definitely be back!

   Very average. Been several times before and had a much better experience. Waited a while for our drinks to arrive, ordered a side of fries which never arrived despite asking a waiter twice for them, asked for pizza to be well done which the waiter said wasn’t an issue. It arrived and wasn’t cooked as requested- handed it back to waiter and saw the chef seem a little irritated that this was the case (don’t have an open kitchen if you don’t want guests to see inside!). Waited a while to pay despite going to a concert so put jackets on and waited at the bar to someone to take payment. Pretty disappointing 😞

   Disappointing visit. We were seated at our table and had to wait at least 20 minutes before we had to go find a server to take our order. We were in the middle of the starter when the server brought our main courses. Food was average

   Service was very poor. It took 20 minutes to get served for a drink. Even then, that was us asking staff to get served. Bearing in mind you only get the table for 1.5 hours. Once served the starter came out pretty fast but the main course took 50 minutes to come out from finishing the starter.

   Very dark inside. Table service very slow for all customers. Very limited set menu. Starter was cold. Main course ordered salt and chilli chicken had no flavour, taste or heat, tasted like chicken nuggets.

   Food was nice, service was good but no drnks menus and I was horrified to see in our bill that 2 standard size glasses of wine were priced at £9 each! Cheaper drinks in the Hydro!

   Upon arrival we were told we needed to select between Asian & Italian, having attended on a number of occasions previously this was quite a shock as we were expecting the Greek, Thai, Chinese, Italian etc etc and to be order from all different menus at our table. We were then sat at a table where our drinks order was taken, although they took a while and we ordered our meals, our starters came promptly enough but after 45mins after finishing our starters we still had no mains, so we had to go and ask as nobody had came near us to check we were ok for drinks etc, it transpires they had lost our order or it hadn't made its way to the kitchen, they advised they would get on it straight away and at this point checked for additional drinks, when the mains finally arrived, 1 was wrong so we sent it back, after waiting another 10mins or so a replacement meal arrived which was wrong again (What makes it worse is the waiter put the Prawn dish on the table advising it was chicken !!), finally after another 15mins the right meal finally turned up when everyone else was finished their dinner. Really disappointed as it used to be a good venue but its went right downhill, always loads and loads of glasses on the bar, hardly any staff and minor point but all the staff are wearing everyday clothes and you don't actually know who works there ?! Finally, they have been disgusting for years but the toilets seriously need refurb

   It’s really disappointing how cranside has changed without any notice. Only being able to order from one restaurant per table has really taken away the wow factor from it. We were sat in the Italian and there was clearly not enough staff. Waiting ages for a drink and when my dinner came it was stone cold and had to be sent back. The waiter was also frustrated and impolite at times. Sad and not a pleasant experience.

   C2C weekend. Last year amazing. Different kitchens etc to get different foods as and when you wanted. This year was a set Italian menu. Not the end if the world, but lots of issues with the order. Potentially as we had no fewer than 5 different people serving us. Place was freezing cold. Had planned to spend a few hours there grazing and enjoying some drinks, but left very quickly. Huge opportunity to be a massive draw, especially being so close to the Hydro. Potentially lack of staff/chefs? Not sure. Radisson across the road nailed it. Great food, entertainment on. Rugby on tv. Such a shame as this was my go-to when visiting Glasgow for years.

    Was really disappointed with my visit, my starter was luke warm at best as was my husbands. I never got offered parmesan with my main course, I had to go and for it and a spoon to eat my spaghetti. Will not be rushing back

    My husband and I came on 10/3/23. We both ordered drinks and then ordered our food. We had mozzarella sticks to start - they were cold and very chewy. Our drinks came after our starter - We were both pretty desperate for a drink. Our main came. I had macaroni cheese, it was exceptionally bland, I was quite disappointed. My husband had the "hangover 2" pizza, it was overpowering spicy. Overall we weren't blown away. We were looking forward to going as it had been recommended.

    Service was very slow - we had an hour wait between our starter and main. When it eventually came out our order was wrong and we were left with half our food going cold and no cutlery to eat it with. The food was basic and not worth what we had to pay for it. Disappointed and would not return.

    Service was some of the worst I’ve experienced. Waited 45 mins after our starter for main courses and had to ask FOUR times for an update, nobody ever came back to our table after I asked. No apology, staff just didn’t look us in the eye or acknowledge us when standing at the till to pay. Food was fine.

    Service was poor - had to ask for drinks to be brought over several times. Food served but no cutlery etc. asked one staff member at the end whether they had just been rushed off their feet, their reply: no, it’s been quiet. My friend asked are you sure? They said “no I’m just faking it to be honest”. Attitude and customer service was surprising to say the least!

    Slow & uninformative service. Had to ask for drinks menu when food order was being taken first!!!, then to be told there wasn't one , to scan qr code on cup which wasn't put down at our table till we asked. No cocktails being served as only one member of staff behind bar. Ordered sauvingon blanc, pinot grigio arrived. Vegetarian pizza with lack of veg & truffle fries minus the truffle. No toilet paper in any of the cubicles also. Won't hurry back.

    We booked the restaurant before seeing a comedian. We were sat down right next to the front door where people were constantly moving in and out and we were freezing. We ordered bruschetta and mozzarella sticks to start. These were ok however where can you go wrong really. For our mains we ordered the mushroom linguine and spaghetti carbonara. Both had absolutely no taste, no seasoning and was clear they had been sitting under heated lamps for some times. There was a group of girls standing next to the bar who were very drunk and noisy which made the experience even less enjoyable. The waiter who served us was polite and when we asked for our bill he brought it to us straight away. We thought ignoring the reviews on trip advisor was a good idea however do not. They’re basically all bang on.

    A welcome at the door would have been better, we had to edge into the restaurant itself before someone noticed us and took us to our seats. The server came back with the wrong order for me (the meal he arrived with did sound quite like the one I had ordered) It was quickly replaced with the right meal- (which was very enjoyable.) Ideally located for us, good food at an affordable price.

    Service was a little slow as there seemed to be too few people serving. The process has changed back from app ordering to giving the waitperson your order, but staff levels haven't changed. Luckily it was quite quiet so we didn't have to wait too long but the poor staff on the floor looked harassed. The food was lovely and came in good time. A word of caution when ordering Bao. It is not specified on the menu but is a per bun price. They provide 2 as standard so the price for a portion is double the menu price. Luckily they were delicious and I had enough funds to cover, but could cause others problems. The loaded fries are fantastic and great value. Leave plenty of time for service if heading to a gig on SEC/Hydro campus.

    I’ve been quite a few times now and firstly I’m glad they no longer do the ordering via the QR. It was awful! This visit however, the service was slow. Waited 20 minutes to get our drinks. Food came through quite quick but was nothing special. I had the bruschetta and the bread was hard & stale! The pizza was ok. My husband did have the hangover pizza which he enjoyed. The waiter who gave us the food, I asked for another drink to which he replied he doesn’t take orders but will get someone to take my order. 15 minutes later no one came but nobody about, eventually my drink appeared so he had passed on that I wanted another drink! I can’t say on this visit I’m overly impressed. The toilets were filthy. I’ve always enjoyed coming but recent visits the food is just average. I’d now considering going elsewhere now next time I’m at the Hydro.

    A bit misleading in terms of what’s available as the app still lists all the menus but it’s only Xi’an and Romano’s which are open/available. Service was very fast to start with - literally a minute between starter plates being cleared and mains coming out, almost too fast. But then we waited an age for main plates to be cleared as the restaurant became more busy. Food was tasty, the chicken gyoza especially. Pad Thai was good albeit lacked a bit of seasoning and could have had more sauce cooked through it. Adding extra lime juice helped. A good restaurant for before/after gigs at the SEC complex though.

    We have not been to this venue since it became Cranside Kitchen so were not sure what to expect. The staff were all so lovely and helpful. I especially loved that after our starters, we were asked if we were ready for our main courses. Usually food is just delivered to the table, without asking this. It was a lovely touch and appreciated! Excellent value for money. We had 3 courses each, a bottle of wine and a few beers and the bill was less than £100; For a Saturday night treat, it was amazing value. The food was piping hot and delicious. Absolutely cannot fault a thing about the whole evening. We had Chinese at Xi'ang this time and are planning to visit Romano's on our next visit.

    We used here as we were going to a show and had previously used here several times as you could park the car here free. On arrival we found only half the car park now as they built an outdoor seating area and there wasn't enough parking spaces and car park was no longer Free £5 for 4 hours. Inside the restaurant the lift wasn't working so we had to have a table in the Romano and out food was cooked upstairs then brought down. Food was moderate, nothing to get too excited about, service was good but really disgraced at the end when we received our Bill and we were charged £7 for 2 glasses of water with a squirt of Blackcurrant juice. Afraid to say we will be looking elsewhere now if attending a show

    Disappointed. When we arrived we were told we had booked 2 tables in different restaurants. We'd had to book 2 tables as weren't able to book a big enough table on website and couldn't get through when trying to phone multiple times. We checkied our emails and knew that we had definitely booked for the same restaurant. We were sat together but the attitude that we got from the host when we stated that we had booked the same restaurant was very unfriendly. Apparently the kids meal that we ordered had not been put through the system by the manager so the child at our table had to wait about 10 mins after all of the adults to get her meal. The pizzas were burnt underneath but the rest of the food was nice enough. The waiter that took our drinks order however did do out of his way to find some Diluting juice for the child on our table which was very much appreciated. We have been coming to this place every year for the past 8 years and have been disappointed on our previous 2 visits. It seems to have gone down hill since it changed from the rotunda to cranside kitchen.

    Arrived and was seated promptly. Was given pre-theatre menu and left to browse. Not advised their was a full menu or drinks menu available via a QR code. Music was way too loud, could not carry out a conversation. Food was ok, nothing to write home about and could have been better. When food arrived there was an error in our order, which was resolved quickly enough. Service was slow, venue was packed as it was a show night and they were massively understaffed. Ordered some take away and was left waiting 20 minutes for it to be handed to us, despite being able to see it through the kitchen doors. Tables were left with dishes on for 25+ minutes after diners left.

    Not a good start. I said hello to the young waiter near the door, gave my name and booking details. He looked briefly at a tablet then just shrugged and walked away! I then spoke to a helpful young lady who showed us to our table. The place was rapidly filling up and service was slow, despite the waiting staff rushing around. The food when it eventually came was very good. We had Chinese influenced spring rolls then chicken main dishes. The staff (apart from the first young man) were smiley and helpful.

    We were recommended to come and try your restaurant out and we weren't disappointed. Staff were very friendly, service was quick and nothing was too much bother. Drinks were lovely, value for money was great 2. Wish I had been before, however going forward we will be back.
