Food was overall good. Appetisers and raw stuff excellent. Fell short on the mains. Server attentive. But seats very cramped especially with winter jackets.
The staff at Crave Fishbar was a pleasure to work with and the food was incredible! The oysters were so fresh and cocktails were delicious. We had reservations for family style dining- everyone was satisfied and the presentation was gorgeous. The manager Elizabeth was great to work with and very helpful putting together the menu!
Food was absolutely amazing. Service was excellent and atmosphere was very nice. Favorite place in NYC
The restaurant was under an apartment complex? When we got there, we can see the restaurant was filled with people but we weren’t able to enter because the front door was locked. We figured one of the tenants closed the front door and it automatically locked. We had to wait for a customer to exit the building which resulted us being late to our reservation.
Very good ambience and service . However the langoustine appetizer very poor , no real meat on the shells at all so very disappointing . My entree of salmon was delicious and tasty and my husband's lobster curry very good too but we both felt that the rice was overpriced at $7 and probably should have been included with the curry .
Happy hour is great. Oysters are fresh and delicious. Great value. And we had great service.
Nice service but the Reception put my guests at different tables. Food was great as usual.
Food was great, nice & tasty. Service also great. Ambiance, comfortable.
I go frequently. Comfortable, great food. I’m a regular
Really great find. Good quiet spot before a show.
Service was excellent.. food was great!
Fantastic seafood, great atmosphere and excellent service. Will be back!
Our favorite restaurant in NYC!
Fantastically prepaprefish, attentive staff, great drinks.
Great place with fabulous food and great-value happy hour. Might get a bit noisy, but otherwise great place.
Food and service was awful
Great food, great value and thoughtful service. The menu is short, fresh and fishy - with some nice alternatives for the non-pescatarians. The barramundi was superb.
Exactly as we expected, the food was well prepared and delicious. Presentation was simple. Atmosphere was comfortable and staff excellent. Our server was outstanding.
I truly love this place. The happy hour prices are so reasonable I always forget this place is in the Manhattan, 2nd Ave no less! A bottle of prosecco for $30 bucks (good quality) and the bites are so good: Crab rolls, fish and burger sliders and $1 oysters!! The ambiance is perfect! I haven't been here in the summer but they have a second floor balcony and I'm betting it's just amazing! Can't wait to go back!
Good place for a business lunch. Great food and quiet enough atmosphere.
Excellent food. Great service!
Great seafood restaurant and oyster bar................................................................ .................................
Delicious abs great service. Will be back for the happy hour!
Has I stated in my first review consistency is a key factor in any restaurant I usually order the same thing and everything time something different, is still good but different
Always a pleasure; our waitress was especially charming, helpful and efficient .
Crave Fishbar is a very good restaurant and never fails to deliver a good dining experience.
Had a delicious dinner. Great service, fresh fish and out group sat upstairs and we appreciated not being rushed Wonderful evening.
Wry delicious fish dishes at reasonable prices for the city. Hard to find creative seafood that doesn’t break the bank, and this restaurant delivers. Have been there twice and will definitely go back.
Food delish. Wine excellent. Apps came and only one out of four people received plates. Needed to ask twice for them. Otherwise, Service, good
A new favorite restaurant in Manhattan! Really cozy ambience with brick and rustic wood walls. Our waitress was absolutely lovely. We had delicious oysters, ceviche, and calamari – gluten-free! Then we split an entrée and desert. We look forward to dining at Crave next time we’re in NYC.
Great place to relax and enjoy a great meal. Reasonable price and cool vibe Simply the best in New York City!
We both very much enjoyed our appetizers, cauliflower soup and ribs as well as our drinks, white wine and Shapes & Colors (great pepper base to this drink). In addition, my barramundi entrée had great flavor. My wife chose the seafood tower appetizer as her entrée and although some of it was really good, shrimp and oysters, some of it was rather disappointing, crab and other type of oysters. The dessert I had, cookie and ice cream was delectable.
What threw things off a bit was how the tower was delivered. No side bowl or plate for the shells and when one was requested the server, who was not our primary who was excellent, looked at us like it was a strange request. She subsequently returned with a small bread plate that was nowhere near big enough to handle the shells. As for the bread plate, there was apparently bread delivered to other tables but we never received ours. Also, no wet naps or hot towel after dinner for clean up which is a little strange when serving food eaten by hand.
Lastly, the bathroom was very nice but the garbage was overflowing so that was a bit off-putting. Never great when I am the one helping them out with that so others aren't annoyed as well.
So, what I would say is there is definite promise here as it was a nice room, good vibe, our server was very attentive and most of the food was very enjoyable. We would give it another shot if in the area but we won't be rushing back immediately.
We sat upstairs, where it was a little bit quieter. The food was amazing. We had ceviche as an appetizer, which was nicely flavored. We had the seared Yellowfin Tuna and the squid ink spaghetti. Both were delicious and all the food was finished at the end of the meal. The staff was very friendly, and we were all very pleased with our dinner. I would definitely come back for another meal.
Consistently delicious food - we always enjoy what we get. You won’t get a bargain or anything unless you go at happy hour, but we always enjoy our time there. Fairly noisy, so not a great place to have a first date - but definitely some of the best food in Midtown East
The food and service was excellent we started with the oysters which were so fresh. Then I had the tuna & my husband had the skate. Both dishes were very good. The service was right on point. We would definitely go back.
Best Oyster Happy Hour in town!! Food and cocktails delicious!
The food and service was outstanding. I definitely would go back again. Good value for money.
This is the second time I've been here. And the food is amazing! They have great happy hour deals for a restaurant on 2nd Ave midtown. One dollar oysters and sliders. Bottle of prosecco for 30 dollars and the service is amazing! The manager and staff are kind and very professional. Will continue to go back and bring more friends!
I find my self ordering the same thing but every time is different, I wish they would stick with only one way. Consistency is the name of the game 😊
