Had a lovely birthday dinner with my beau. Great happy hour oyster special followed by a tasty meal with dessert!
The menu never changes. The oysters were disappointing this time. Overall still ok.
Great food, lovely service.
Great oysters esp great during the happy hour, though most were $1.50 rather than $1. Recommended muscadet was excellent with the oysters. Steak frites were only fair. Fries could use a lot more work as they were soggy and mushy.
always consistent. always busy. always loud but in a good way. The service is friendly and efficient and our server let us sit for quite a while on a Saturday night. The food is very high quality and the portions are a nice size for reasonable prices. Glad Crave is in our neighborhood.
As usual, the food was stellar and the service was great!
Met my brother for dinner a week after having discovered Crave with a friend. Again took advantage of the Happy Hour oyster special. Repeated the delicious cauliflower soup. Everything we ordered after was beautifully prepared and presented. We sat outside on a very pleasant evening. Crave is an easy walk from my apartment, so I am likely to be there often.
Cava and oysters were outstanding
A notch or two above a neighborhood place with good service and seafood fundamentals in an area known for not having decent places to eat.
Place is charming. Ordered Ice teas and they came in tiny glasses for some reason.
Food was good but not great.
Same with service.
Overall an ok experience but having eaten at Crave downtown a disappointment
Went for my wife’s birthday dinner with a couple of friends and dinner and drinks were fantastic along with our server.
The food was excellent but the service was outstanding! Our son was celebrating his birthday and he loves seafood. Lobster, scallops, oysters are all his favorites. And he’s 6 😜 Crave’s staff couldn’t have been more attentive to him and by doing so, won us over as loyal customers. We will definitely be back!!
Great food, the oysters all different sizes were so good! The ambience was very nice. The staff especially our server Natalie did her thing! I've been there twice and thoroughly enjoyed myself as did my party! The Moscow Mule drinks and Oyster shooters were fantastic!
Great nice outdoor seating
Once happy hour was o we it was lively go after 7 so you miss the packed noisy bar
I love happy hour here. We always have a great time.
The food was good but the server acted like she didn’t care and was annoyed when they brought out the wrong meal
The food was fine, but the service was terrible. Our waitress ignored us and sent us the wrong dishes multiple times—some of the wrong items she sent us contained sesame even though I explicitly told her I was severely allergic. This was a bad dining experience for the price point, and it was not a busy night.
The dam octopus was under cooked! Too chewy!
i eat here often and will continue to return to crave. the happy hour menu is great as is the regular dinner menu. the oysters and all seafood are freshest possible. and they care about sourcing very much.
friendly and professional service as well.
The food, especially the oysters, is always good. The service this trip was just perfect. Helpful, but not overdone. Thank you.
Wonderful staff..great food. When I’m in town this is my go to place.
maybe just selected wrong items for that night, had better food in the past
Look happy hour here. The oysters are amazing
Great Attention and flexibility when we asked to move table because of noisy kids.
We just love Crave Fishbar, and particularly, the happy hours, where endless oysters of all varieties are only $1 each. Seriously, this is true. The wait staff is always super professional, and the other menu items are equally delicious, clean, and healthy. Above all, the combination of flavors is always a joy.
Everything was cooked to perfection!
We sat outside and had a lovely night. We got the a bottle recommended by the staff that was called Okay Okay, very good. Amazing food, we went with staff favorite oysters, sea bass crudo, the octopus, Branzino, salmon, and squid ink pasta. If you go here, pick your favs because everything was good, but don’t leave without trying the squid ink pasta.
The food are really good and the appetizers are unforgettable. It was just pricey and the portion are kinda small. I was also disappointed because I thought they are participating the restaurant week because Open table are putting them on the list.
Nice greeting by hostess. We asked for “whichever room was quietest” so she took us to back room (much better). Nice waitress. Amazing oysters - randomly selected mix. Fish tacos were way too small with barely any cod fish in them. Would go again but order an entree that has more value.
Prices were expensive for a happy hour and service was slow. Didn’t seem to know that much about their own food.
Excellent food and options - great outdoor dining - lovely inside as well
We had two reservations for five each, a party of ten! The service was EXCELLENT, and so were the oysters, clams, little necks, Brussels sprouts, wine and the cocktails! The kids menu was excellent for the little ones.
Definitely the best oyster happy hour in NYC. Highly recommended!
One of my absolute favorite octopus dishes in the world! Great drinks, awesome vibe in bar room
Very disappointed with its food quality and service ! Not what it's used to be ....in the past, its oyster and soup along with other appetizers are one of very best in town ! I guess slow economy and high labor cost forced it to cut quality on foods and service...
Another excellent experience at Crave -- and I'm a private chef, so I can be a little picky, lol... The food was exceptional: shellfish was impeccably fresh and properly chilled; fish dishes were inventive without being weird, beautifully executed and presented, perfect size portions; and the service was outstanding, professional and personable, knowledgeable and attentive (Drew took care of me this visit, he was amazing)... I make a point of dining here every time I'm in NY, it's one of my absolute favorites... You can't go wrong with Crave, don't miss it!
We were a party of five, and they asked us to leave because they were “running late on their reservations “.
This had never happened to any of us before, and left a bad taste.
If we were too long at the table, it was partly to do with our appetizer oysters not coming until after our entries arrived.
Great raw bar, cocktails, and shooters!
My party of four enjoyed our meal. But one of our party, no glutton, said the next morning that her four scallops that cost about $36 left her starving. So in general, we thought the place was very good, but a little pricey. We might go back but will order carefully.
