We had a friends bday planned and had to cancel the morning of the booking as she was very sick. The initial communication I received said I would be charged $90 to cancel. This seems very unnecessary now we are out of COVID, and people are back out in the city. Instead of paying the $90 penalty fee my other friend and I went instead of wasting the money. The cocktails & food were good but the ambience wasn’t great. There were more staff there than patrons. The interior and space is pretty cool. And the DJ was playing good music. I would NEVER book again based on their cancellation fee. It’s not worth the risk and the experience once we were there was not worth it. After all it is just a hotel bar.

Such a great bar. Amazing ambience, music and drinks. Lost points as the bubble gun wasn’t working so the Glinda cocktails were without the amazing smoke and bubble. Staff were nice about it and offered a complimentary shot. Would definitely return!

Curious is a lovely and unique venue. We were celebrating my wife's birthday we a group of friends. The staff were attentive, courteous and certainly looked after all our requests, could not fault the team. This made for an excellent afternoon of celebration.

It’s the perfect date spot, very intimate setting and dimmed lights. Staff were extremely friendly. We had the chicken wings stuffed with mushrooms and the mushroom sliders - both dishes were incredible, very flavoursome and generous servings. We ordered some beer & cider, and a couple of cocktails which were more expensive but fits in with the overall lush setting it’s known for.

This bar is gorgeous, with a great vibe. It’s clean and comfy. Staff were really friendly and attentive. No complaints there. The cocktails however were not good. Sure, visually they are impressive but the taste isn’t there. My group ordered most of the cocktails on offer, and not one was knock your socks off good. Some were actually so bad, they went without being drunk. I would recommend this place for a wine, but if you’re after yummy cocktails, this isn’t the place unfortunately.

This was a very special occasion and our first time to Curious. The food, ambience, drink list where all great. The staff friendly and assisted us with both our cocktail selection and snacks. We all were very impressed and there was a good spread of age groups which didn’t make it just another bar. Only disappointment was that we were asked to leave 30 minutes before our scheduled departure time as there was a heavy load of bookings to come in. Good night had by our group of over 55’s

Guacamole tasted exactly like the prepackaged guacamole you get in a tub, much fresh avocado to make it look real but was definitely prepackaged. Oysters were not shucked properly and stuck to the shell or completely butchered and the balsamic mignonette was a miss. Nice vibes in there but the food was sub par and very expensive

It’s not a bar for quality cocktails, instead most people just come for photos.

My third visit. This time made a booking a week out to secure a table. Was taken to a table at the far exit. Asked to move. 90 mins max for 2 people is offensive. Profits over people. Even if we'd been given 2 hours we'd order more. It felt rushed. Photos make out it's the place for the it crowd, in reality it looked like a place where Barry from accounts has a drink before heading back to work conference. Amazing architecture, but it felt clinical instead of fun.

Venue charged us a late fee for not attending even though we did attend the venue and discussed with management we were in the room and spent over 200 on cocktails as a table of 4. Will never come back to this venue. Disgraceful!
