    Top notch food and service. CW Prime is a dining experience, it's so more than a place to eat. Our server was outstanding and he actually predicted our every need. From the appetizer to desserts, we enjoyed each stage of our meal service.

    Service was impeccable, food was outstanding, whiskey and wine list were large. We had a filet and a Kansas cut steak which were both cooked as we asked (medium rare) though the filet was a bit salty. The stone crabs were delicious but were barely even cracked when served so hard to eat; the waitress rectified immediately. Mushrooms and Brussels sprouts were delicious albeit heavily seasoned and flavored. Would definitely return to dine again!

    This restaurant never disappoints. The service is impeccable as a start. Great Wine list and sommalier. Dinner was outstanding...We had the filet and ribeye all of which were perfectly cooked. Creamed potato and spinach sides were amazing. And you can't beat the ambiance. This trip we decided to dine outdoors and it was wonderful...beautiful resort that is definitely worth visiting when you're in Sarasota, Longboat Key or on Anna Maria Island.

    We were excited to try the relatively new “high-end” steak house on the shores of the Gulf. We waited several minutes, along with other couples, before a greeter came to escort us to the table. Lovely view of the Gulf, but inset, not taking full advantage of the view. The strip loin steaks were fine, cooked correctly (rare and medium rare), but truly needed a sauce for flavor (I picked au poivre). Do not expect Peter Luger or Sparks flavor. The creamed spinach was superior, while the potatoes were OK. The overall tone was one of pretentiousness. The steak prices ranged from high to breathtaking. The wine list was impressive in its variety and quality, but does one really need a $15K bottle of Petrus? I sampled the CW Prime special Cabernet - it was fine enough. We skipped dessert, but our attentive server Erin brought some lovely after-dinner pastries that more than sufficed. The restaurant was surprisingly small, and may be more targeted to those staying at the St. Regis. For those living on Longboat Key, this may provide a contrast with the many wonderful seafood-oriented restaurants on the island, but avoiding the drive to the mainland for steak will come at a cost.

    I sat at the bar seating, not a table. The seating was very uncomfortable. The ambiance was not what I expected. I wouldn’t go back. For those prices, I expected better.

    Every morsel of food was delicious! Ribeye, foi gras, mushrooms and octopus were exquisite. They were careful with my food sensitivities. Service was top notch.

    Our dining experience at the bar at CW Prime was phenomenal as usual. From the hostess to the bartender to the manager to the wine sommelier, everyone is incredibly professional, personal, and attentive. The steaks are cooked to perfection on the Josper, and the ambience is elegant and modern while comfortable. It is pricey, but in our opinion, the quality meets the standard.
