   We were seated and waited 15 mins for a menu, then when we ordered there was hair in one of our pastas and a piece of plastic in the spaghetti bol! We didn’t receive table water after asking for 4 times. Worst dining experience we’ve had.

   The waitresses were ignorant when me and my partner were ready to order the waitresses made eye contact with me and didn’t come to take our order. When I asked one of them she said ok and then continued to slowly set up a table?! Then I asked the other waitress to order and she said to wait for the other waiter to come. So when the waiter finally came I ordered. The bruschettas were very tiny pieces of bread with only tomato on them and were $7 each?! Such a rip off. The faggotini was quite bland and super oily from the melted butter. Wasn’t even full after eating. They apologised 3 times saying that their restaurant was ‘busy’ even though there were some empty tables that night and even when I booked through OpenTable there were lots of time slots! Disappointed and never coming back!

   I picked this restaurant based on customer reviews and it did not disappoint. I started with the bruschetta which was delicious with great flavour. Followed with the insalata Caprese also delicious. The buffalo mozzarella was amazing. For mains I had spaghetti ai grittier do mare which had a great depth of flavour. Staff were friendly and non intrusive. Will definitely return and recommend.

   Went with my friend to have lunch on Saturday and it was one of the best experiences we have had! The waiter who served us was extremely attentive and proactive in particular with my food allergy. The pastas and the tiramisu was delicious! And the recommended homemade lemonade was extremely refreshing. We sat on the balcony and was able to embrace the lovely weather and beautiful view of Lygon street. There was nothing to fault about this place. Thank you so much for the lovely lunch! We’ll definitely be back soon ☺️☺️

   Best authentic Italian restaurant in Carlton for sure!! The decor is amazing, they import Murano glass from Italy to create a nice Italian atmosphere. The service is professional and friendly. We followed some recommendations about some starters to share and we ordered one main each as well. Don’t forget to ask about the week specials. Beautiful sized portions and lovely food, the chefs are all Italians and they know how to cook properly! The wine was incredible, the waiter recommended to match our food a bottle of Amarone della valpolicella, beautiful full body, fruity and rich wine. We had a beautiful experience and we can’t wait to go back again.

    Las pastas era muy deliciosas, Ravioli Wagyu era excepcional, el venison igual, el servicio fue impecable todos muy atentos, el mesero tenia muy buen conocimiento de las pastas y los vinos sus recomendaciones fueron perfectas, el tiramisù y el tortino deliciosos.

    Our host was the perfect gentleman, helping us with the menu and wine suggestions. Service was fast and efficient although we did not at any point feel we were being rushed. The food was exquisite, all six of my party enjoyed it and pledged to return as soon as possible.

    We are outside on Lygon St. which we enjoyed so quite quiet but inside it was busy. Food was excellent and couldn’t be faulted.

    The food at Da Guido - AMAZING ! Great variety , fresh fresh ingredients and delicious. Every dish. The staff were extremely attentive and could do enough for us to make sure we had a great dining experience. Thank you team Da Guido. We will definitely be back.

    Food is outstanding as is service. Loved the quietness. Definitely worth it and don’t be put off if it seems likes no ones there. It’s special and worth having to your self. Became full as the evening wore on.

    This place really stands out for its freshness, quality, level of cleanliness and service. I tried Carpaccio as entree and it was so soft that melted in my mouth. For main I ordered ravioli with Wagyu beef with a glass of Chianti and I felt like in Heaven Best on Lygon

    It was a very nice experience, when you arrived at the site you felt a different environment in terms of the other restaurants along the lygon street, not to mention its menu which gave me enough options to try a bit of that platl I had the fortune to be in Italy before and try their delicious food which was surprised with its Italian authenticity, finally I would like to emphasize the kindness and type of service that I received, it felt like eating at home.

    Amazing dining experience. This restaurant is very clean. Food is fresh and has an open kitchen where you can see Italian Chefs cooking for you. Strongly recommended!
