What Insiders Are Saying
Our favorite place for fine dining in Manhattan. Daniel is an absolute classic. Save it for a special occasion and eat in the salon, where things are a bit more laid back.
Absolutely wonderful experience. It was my daughter’s graduation. The staff was very professional, courteous and made my daughter feel very special. The food was delicious. We could not have had a better experience. A big thank you to all at Daniel.
The dining room is so beautiful and elegant. Good variety on the menu, and the dishes were perfection. They had gluten-free bread for my girlfiriend! :-)) Warm and helpful service. Spectacular evening!
Recommend arrive early as other guests can get quite loud. This is an otherwise fantastic French American restaurant.
Excelente lugar, maravilloso servicio.
The service was no doubt! Regarding food, we like their breads, appetizers and amazing desserts. Especially madeleine. The flavor is awesome! They even provided cannelés for us to go as tomorrow’s breakfast. Very sweet! These cannelés have been the best cannelé I have ever tasted! Overall, this dinner was a quite pleasant experience.
The best restaurant in NYC
From the moment we walked in the revolving door, Daniel did not disappoint. The service, the food, the wine and the presentation was all phenomenal. We are so thankful to have had this experience and we will most certainly be back!
From the moment we arrived, we were immersed in the “Daniel” experience. Greeted warmly by the host/hostess team, we were immediately brought to our table in the main dining room. After being seated, we were welcomed by our server and the dining experience began.
Amazing night. Dannielle, Víctor and Ian made our visit the most memorable one
Excellence in every detail. Superb food and wine list.
This was the third time I have been to Daniel. It was a disappointment relatively. The service was much less welcoming. The food was fine but by far my worst experience there. The wine pairings were good but we were amazingly underserved and ignored towards the end. I actually left a little hungry which is amazing given we did the full tasting and expensive pairing. It was the most I have spent there (+$1,200 for two) but our worst experience. Perhaps stick with the alla carter next time.
Nice pleace in New York. Best food & best wine. I recomended
Dining at its finest.
I’ve always loved Daniel. The food is superb and the service is top notch. They tend to every detail. If I’m ever in the neighborhood I’ll be sure to stop by. I’ve always ordered a la carte but the tasting menu is a great option too. If you love French food, this is a main stay in NYC.
My favorite restaurant in NYC, and that is a high bar. Great space, service, wine, and cuisine. Grateful that I can afford the occasional splurge and that my family loves it as much as I do.
Daniel is one of the finest eating establishments in the US.
Excellent food, wonderful flavors - put together with mastery. Friendly yet on-point service. What's not to like?!
Amazing dining experience nog to be missed!
Excellent food and service! We will surely come back.
Como siempre todo muy bien y el servicio excelente.
Daniel was everything I had heard it would be and exceeded expectations. It's not a meal, it's an experience. A true institution.
Food felt too prepped. Not fresh, seasonal and delicious. Ordinary. Not modern. Too bad because Daniel is an excellent chef (clearly he was not there) and the space is gorgeous. The restaurant has seen better days!
Simply sublime. Each course was a feast for the senses. We had the 4 course dinner and honestly by the 3rd course we were stuffed. Be sure to pace yourself The best special occasion restaurant ever. The servers are very helpful and attentive
We enjoyed our special dinner...a special place for a special day.
This is our third visit and we will be back
Excellent dining experience from food over service, perfect evening.
Great food, nice experience at Daniel. The service there is awesome! Love it!
The service and ambience were great!
The extras were generous and numerous.
BUT, the food was just ok and the portions were seriously small. I had a steak which to my surprise was miniscule and tough. The prices were pretty high.
We had a much better meal at Boulud-Sud were the food, service and price were very good. The only caveat was the noise level was high and the ambience was not nearly as good.
Food wasn’t memorable or outstanding whatsoever. After dining in several restaurants on par with Daniel, this was my least favorite. The service was impeccable but the food was disappointing. Not one dish was something we were amazed by, which I think is necessary for a Michelin restaurant and for the dollar amount.
We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Daniel's. We were seated at a wonderful romantic table. The service was impeccable!
It doesn’t get better than this! The ambience started with the door greeting person who then personally escorted us to our table. The staff was knowledgeable, accurate, and friendly. Food (and multiple amuse bouche) was a work of art. Allow at least two hours.
The red snapper was the best piece of fish in taste and texture I’ve had anywhere. Also best French food, including most I’ve had in Paris and Arles France.
Cost is prohibitive. Would love to come again but just wouldn’t be able to cover cost of another dinner for two on my retirement income. What a pity but at least I had this wonderful experience once in my life.
Thanks so much!
Everything was superb. We had the 4 course option with pairing wines which matched the food perfectly. The cheese/garlic bread rolls was the best bread I’ve ever had.
Second time around, exceedingly impressive.
This is one of our favorite restaurants and it never disappoints! The food and service are outstanding ! The setting is beautiful, elegant and calming. The Precision and attention to detail is magnificent,
A tasty French with luxurious but relaxing atmosphere.
