Dublin's most famous pub, certainly in a literary sense, with its Joycean associations. Always classy and fashionable. It's the original Dublin gastropub at over 100 years old.
Anybody who is familiar with Dublin pub food will be aware of Davy Byrne’s food reputation, in which seafood is the speciality.
If you visit the premises at lunchtime and evening time, you will witness the huge trade which is done in fresh Seafood, Wagyu Burgers and pub classics like Fish & Chips. There is also a full range of Salads and Sandwiches to compliment these and, as often as not, you can enjoy Oysters and Guinness.
The classic Gorgonzola sandwich with a glass of Burgundy as mentioned in Ulysses is available every day.

Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate strollers/buggies indoors at Davy Byrnes but subject to availability, we can at our outside terraced area. We apologize for any inconvenience.

    Another wonderful evening at Davy Byrnes. food was delicious. Great place for a catch up with old friends. The lovely staff, so attentive and I have to make a special mention to the lovely girl who made me two cosmopolitans. I consider myself a bit of an expert on the subject, These were spectacular as have been on previous visits ( also made by the same girl). I highly recommend visiting for lunch, dinner or just drop in for a cocktail or drink. I most definitely will be returning. Thank you so much for a wonderful evening . A very Happy Christmas and See you all in 2024.

    Beef and Guinness pie was very tasty. Service was excellent. Cocktails were lovely and a great range. They had run out of cheesecake which was a pity.

    Nice table down the back, and a good buzz. Service was a little slow at first as it was quite busy but picked up then. Food was good and not overly priced. Overall a pleasant evening

    Generally good. Ordered Christmas dinner but they forgot the stuffing which was brought to us later and there were no “pigs in blankets “ on the plate. Maybe they forgot that too.

    Nicely surprised, food was very good although the prawn cocktail could do with alot more sauce, beef and Guinness pie really nice. lovely service from Valentina, will be back

    Myself and 2 friends frequently meet in Davy Byrnes for drinks and occasionaly have a meal. Usually fish and chips. The cooking is consistent and enjoyable. The service if efficient friendly and engaged. The ambiance is very good and we would recommend the venue.

    Great location, ambiance good, a lovely and busy pub/restaurant. The service was friendly and very efficient. The menu choice was good if rather limited. Value for money was good in terms of Dublin at this time. All in all a good experience and I would recommend.

    Disappointed our table for 2 was just inside door so cold when door opening constantly. After requesting another table we had to wait till someone else left which was bt 15 minutes. Tables are too close together couldn't have private conversation. Feel they are accommodating too many people.dont know how you reserve back tables where I ate before.

    Unfortunately we were rushed out due to the rioting in Dublin City centre The staff thought trouble was heading up to Grafton Street. So we didn’t have a good experience

    Cathal looked after us so well, we had a super visit. Great place, very unique. The food was a little sub-standard but Cathal rectified that for us.

    I was a little confused/turned off by some of what I read before going (no children, not family-friendly), but this came so highly rated by a friend, I decided to give it a chance. The staff were SO friendly, and the food was really delicious. We were very pleased!

    Davy Byrnes is one of my favourite places to go in Dublin. The staff are so friendly and helpful, the food is great and the cocktails are soo good. I can highly recommend it.
