Delahunt is a contemporary Irish restaurant and bar situated in a restored historic Victorian building on Dublin’s Camden Street.
Our aim is to provide the best seasonal, local produce in a relaxed and welcoming setting. Our menus are influenced by traditional and often overlooked cookery techniques, in keeping with the buildings Victorian origins. Home curing, slow cooked braises, pickles, preserves, traditional desserts and bread-making are some of our specialities. Championing small local producers is an essential part of our ethos
To add to Delahunt’s history we have built a cocktail bar on our first floor. The focal point is a striking bay window overlooking Camden Street, accompanied by vaulted ceilings, retro furniture and custom wooden paneling, original fireplaces, and a wide range of spirits and craft cocktails. The bar is walk in only.

Delahunt Ratings and Reviews
Great food, atmosphere and service - while the menu isn't as extensive as some, each of the four starter and main course options looked great (and the two we selected tasted great as well). Particular mention should go to the lamb which was cooked perfectly and the cheesecake with dark chocolate ice cream. Service was very friendly, attentive but didn't feel rushed along. The building itself (an old fashioned grocers) is also very charming! Great value for money so will definitely be returning.
This was my third time to Delahunts. Very pleased 1st time , less so the 2nd and very disappointed last Wednesday.
There was nothing special about the food to justify the tiny portions and the high prices. It was extremely poor value.
All of our party eat out very regularly, 2 of us frequently entertaining business guests at Dublin restaurants. We will not be returning to Delahunts any time soon.
What a fab restaurant! The waiting staff are very courteous and professional. The room itself is tastefully decorated and bright; old world charm, but not in a stuffy way. The food is the highlight though, everything from the bread to start all the way to the desert was just delicious. At a table of seven, everybody felt the same, no one was unhappy with what they ordered. Can't wait to come back again, I'd like to sit at that bar area, it looks really cool. It's not a cheap meal, but definitely worth it. Check it out!
This was a really nice restaurant in a renovated old grocery shop, so it had heaps of character. The service was low key but really efficient and the food was really good - the lamb just fell apart when I put my fork into it. I was there alone, but was not treated any differently to the other guests.
From the moment we arrived there was a great vibe. It has a Parisian / London feel to the place. We just loved it. The food did not disappoint either. Good portions, beautifully presented and extremely tasty was our verdict. We enjoyed the place so much that we booked a table for four for a Saturday two weeks later without even knowing who we were going to invite. While we didn't have a drink in the bar area upstairs we did go up and have a look round and were very impressed by what we saw. I understand now why it has taken us so long to get a booking there. Just loved it and looking forward to going back. Tony
Started with a delicious cocktail in the stylish 50s revival bar upstairs. Moved downstairs to a cosy atmospheric dining room to be greeted by professional friendly serving staff. The menu is small but with two fish, a good veggie and couple of meat options, we each found something to tempt. Wine list good with a mix of old and new world and reasonably priced. Finished with nice desserts, good cheese board and lovely coffee. We will be back.
Dinner for 2 to celebrate a birthday. The waiter told us that there was no gas in the restaurant and that a reduced menu would be served - but that was no issue as the choices were great and the food we got was absolutely delicious. Great value meal and great service
I went to Delahunts with 3 friends and I was really impressed. Our table was in the snug area which is perfect for a small group (especially if you want to chat) . The food was tasty and beautifully presented but its the staff that stand out. All really friendly and helpful (even when faced with multiple dietry issues) Highly recommend.
From the moment we stepped through the door we knew this was going to be special. Warm welcoming staff, great ambience, stunning food! Layer upon layer of beautiful
flavours, top class fresh ingredients, superbly presented. No rush, no fuss just the ultimate dining experience, to be repeated asap!
I have been in Delahunts a few times before and really love the place. The last time I was here was before Christmas. We were shocked at the prices for Wine - they seem to have shot up and really way over the top. OUr meal was delicious as usual and really love the bar upstairs. However the cost of the wine left us with a bad feeling - such a pity.
I think a sixth star is required to do justice to this establishment.
Flawless experience from charming staff to really exquisite food, the decor is delightfully quirky and stylish, yet comfortable and welcoming, all round we couldn't have been more impressed.
The decor, setting and atmosphere is great. It has a relaxed local bar atmosphere but the food is in no way standard bar food . Good wine selection and although they had not got all the ingredients for the cocktail I ordered, they made one up specifically based on what I said I liked from a whiskey cocktail.
The food and presentation was great. I had the fish of the day which did not disappoint. I will definitely be back. Friendly professional staff who are very attentive without been intrusive and in a very relaxed ambience, the food was the star of the show. Thanks Delahunt!
Fantastic meal. All dishes were really good. Sat in private dining area which added atmosphere. Expensive but totally worth it. Could spend as much in many restaurants around Dublin but would be very hard pressed to find as good a meal. Staff were lovely too.
I asked for a "discreet" table and was given exactly that..a great start. The staff are young, friendly and knowledgeable...great people. The food is very good..well presented and full of flavour. The wine list is excellent but, this is Dublin City centre, fairly pricey.
That having been said we had more than our share!Overall Delahunt is very well worth a visit and is well up there among Dublin's best.
Delahunt exceed my expectations no end. I have wanted to go here for a while but just never got around to it. I certainly won't be leaving it that along again before my next visit. From the moment we went in we were made feel so welcome, aside from the relaxed atmosphere and casual crowd the hostess was warm and inviting. When she overheard my partner and I commenting on how pretty the window table was she changed our table and moved us to this one. The waiting staff were just as nice, very informative, offering good personal advice and very attentive. The food and wine was amazing, really couldn't fault it, every morsel was eaten and it really did taste as good as it looked on the menu. After dinner instead of desert we headed upstairs to the cocktail bar, and what a treat we were in for. A stunning room upstairs looking out over Camden street and arguably one of the best Whiskey Sours I've ever had in Dublin. The cocktail waitress was a lovely, warm, Chicago native that spent time chatting with, giving us some great advice and making us feel relaxed. All in all one of the best dining experiences we've had in Dublin in a while. Cannot wait to get back, if for nothing else than to experience true Dublin at the turn of the last century, authenticate Joycean at it's very best. Keep up the fantastic work Delahunt.
Duck rillete was fantastic. Very balanced dish. Nice cheese plate and generous when compared with some city centre equivalents. Excellent coffee. Wine list good but a bit expensive. Mark up of nearly 200% on some of the wines when compared with retail prices on winesdirect for example. Overall probably a bit dear for what you were given in terms of food and overall experience.
