Delahunt is a contemporary Irish restaurant and bar situated in a restored historic Victorian building on Dublin’s Camden Street.
Our aim is to provide the best seasonal, local produce in a relaxed and welcoming setting. Our menus are influenced by traditional and often overlooked cookery techniques, in keeping with the buildings Victorian origins. Home curing, slow cooked braises, pickles, preserves, traditional desserts and bread-making are some of our specialities. Championing small local producers is an essential part of our ethos
To add to Delahunt’s history we have built a cocktail bar on our first floor. The focal point is a striking bay window overlooking Camden Street, accompanied by vaulted ceilings, retro furniture and custom wooden paneling, original fireplaces, and a wide range of spirits and craft cocktails. The bar is walk in only.

Delahunt Ratings and Reviews
Overall very good. Very good staff who were very attentive. Imaginative menu appropriate to the season. Good value too.
We were 8 for lunch - normally only dining is offered.
A few of the party had been before - always enjoyed themselves.
Cocktail bar is very attractive upstairs.
Delahunt's is sophisticated not fussy.
We would go back - no hesitation.
The venue was lovely , service and knowledge of staff was excellent. The food we were able to have was excellent , however the choice was extremely limiting considering we had a gluten and dairy requirement. We had given notice of this to the restaurant in advance. We were very disappointed at not been able to have any carbs at all with our main course and the starter choice was very poor with no garnish, plain smoked salmon abs gluten free toast!!
This was my first visit to Delahunt, and we were not disappointed. I booked it well in advance for my boyfriend's birthday, as we had wanted to go for a while. The service was attentive, the food was solid (and we enjoy creative, Irish food), and had some very good wine options as well. We will go back soon to try the bar upstairs!
Quite simply my favourite restaurant in the city, luckily we live quite near . The welcome is always so warm , the atmosphere and service fantastic.
Darren and his team deserve all the success they have with this little gem of culinary and style excellence 5 stars every time !
Visiting Dublin and staying nearby, I picked Delahhbt for dinner because it would be easy on the night we arrived in ireland. Turns out it was the best meal of the trip. I will be dreaming about the risotto for a long time ahead. It was that good. Love this place, it is a gem.
We had a delicious dinner for two in Delahunt last Friday, the setting is authentic, nice ambience and the food was delicious. The service was excellent, we had a leisurely 3-course dinner over two and a half hours which was ideal. Would definitely go again for a birthday or special occasion.
I had heard such good things about Delahunt but unfortunately our experience was not a positive one - it felt like the waiter forgot about us - we had to remind him to bring our wine, the dessert menu, and just felt all round neglected for the full service, the food was disappointing at best for what I would expect for the price point and the restaurant itself was so cold I had to put my coat back on.
My self and friend really enjoyed the food. The service was very friendly but became more abrupt as we took our time to order desert. It then became clear that the had another booking on the table and wanted us gone. This wasn't made clear at time of booking and left us with a sour feeling unfortunately. It's too pricy to be pressuring guests to hurry. Also feel there should be more choice of wines at affordable price range 25 to 30 euros.
A bit disappointed with service especially when it came to selecting wine. The waitress was a bit cold and unhelpful. You could maybe list the specials as specials on the bill rather than as individual items, which was very confusing when it came to payment. Otherwise I do not have any complaints. It is a very nice place.
My husband and I were visiting Dublin on vacation and had a wonderful dinner at Delahunt. He's not much of a foodie and likes his food on the more conventional side, but still enjoyed their delicious potato and leek soup and roast pork chop. I savored my pumpkin gnocchi. I loved the wine list and the ambiance. I wish we lived closer so we could come again! Service was great and we had a lovely evening!
We enjoyed the food, excellent quality. The atmosphere is so well balanced and the staff extremely welcoming. Generally a great service but on this occasion there was a delay in receiving the pre dinner drinks. Not a problem had the waiting staff explained the reason for the delay but we had to ask after 10 minutes of waiting.
Table space was restricted for a party of 3, as we were against the wall as you enter restaurant. However, these issues whilst a little frustrating, did not have a significant negative impact on what was a good dining experience. Thank you, we will be back and will have no hesitation in recommending Delahunt to our friends
Our host recommended Delahunt to us and we are so glad that we made time to go. The food was exceptional; I've never tasted anything like it. The service was excellent - prompt and the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. It was also a lovely environment and atmosphere to spend a few hours in. Highly recommend.
