Our aim is to provide the best seasonal, local produce in a relaxed and welcoming setting. Our menus are influenced by traditional and often overlooked cookery techniques, in keeping with the buildings Victorian origins. Home curing, slow cooked braises, pickles, preserves, traditional desserts and bread-making are some of our specialities. Championing small local producers is an essential part of our ethos
To add to Delahunt’s history we have built a cocktail bar on our first floor. The focal point is a striking bay window overlooking Camden Street, accompanied by vaulted ceilings, retro furniture and custom wooden paneling, original fireplaces, and a wide range of spirits and craft cocktails. The bar is walk in only.
Lovely atmosphere, lovely food.
Really good food, surroundings and value. Highly recommend Delahunt.
Appetizers were scarce and desserts very average, it has lowered down quality
Great food, pleasant service, quaint dining room, good value
Had my birthday dinner here with my girlfriends. We all loved it and then up to The Sitting Room for more fun.
Love Delahunt, I'll be back soon!
Nice.food well presented but main course was disappointingly luke warm.great ambiance though and service excellent
Just a very lovely restaurant with amazing food we thoroughly enjoyed it!
Great dinner - limited menu but food very well presented and tasty. Salmon starter small but lovely. Duck main was a bit tough (more red than pink) but accompaniments were delicious. Friends artichoke risotto was adored by the two who ate it. Also the cheese & fig starter and ham hock both great. Chocolate ganache shared by three of us & very rich.
Service very good - accommodated a later time (of about 20 mins) as one person delayed.
Have eaten here before & will be back!
Great food BUT 2hrs for 4 people to eat is not long enough.
Delahunt is 1 of my favourite restaurants in Dublin but my friends and I found the set menu very limiting and the food was just not up to the usual exceptional standard, it was very disappointing.
Perfect traditional location with amazing food! Loved the friendly staff!
Nice setting and good service but I think the food was slightly average for the price
Very good food and wine in this atmospheric place. Great service from friendly staff. Pricey but worth it for special meal.
amazing food & service!!!
Yes would recommend delahunt but portions were way too small! We had main and dessert and were still hungry when we left. Also a disgusting smell came from behind the bar right beside where we were sitting so we felt we had to leave straight after dinner. Food was delicious all the same and staff were lovely 😊
Wonderful table, very friendly service .great fish of the day and lovely wine
Food was excellent, staff wonderful we had an amazing night thanks to the wonderful food and service!
Was in dublin for the weekend and had a Lovely birthday dinner at Delahunt. Would highly recommend. Gin and tonic special was great!!
Love the vibe it blends traditional and modern really well.
3 courses for €45 on a Saturday night at 8pm is great value and the food was a different spin on what you know.
The team at Delahunt also were just the right amount of attentive.
On a dreary wet Saturday evening Delahunts was the perfect place to step in out of the rain. Friendly efficient service meant we had plenty of time to savor our delicious meal and linger over our wine before heading to the National Concert Hall.
Excellent meal, service and drinks. Would highly recommend
Loved the atmosphere and the food . Had a lovely risotto and a coffee -delicious .
Staff really friendly too!
Had our best restaurant experience by far. The service, staff, food and ambiance were perfect . Nothing negative to say. Highly recommend.
A happening place. Many out of towners mixing with the Dublin crew in a cosy room. I remember this as a liquor store and love the original features.
The menu has a small number of choices but each is perfectly cooked and presented. I really enjoyed the skate wing.
A special shout out to the floor staff who were friendly and professional
I'd heard a lot about Delahunt but was underwhelmed by the food. It was good, there was nothing wrong with it but it was just OK, didn't match what I'd heard about it or the price we paid.
Excellent. If you can book this make it happen. In Dublin for a weekend break took this on website review trust. It exceeded all expectations.
Fantastic from start to finish! We went for my partner's 30th birthday from UK and the food was tremendous. Pierre was also a fantastic host. Thanks Delahunt for the wonderful experience.
Meal was quite nice but service was average and we felt we were being rushed a bit - wait staff hovering over us. For price, there’s better alternatives.
Fabulous setting with beautiful menu but the Albariño was room temperature when it arrived
We had a lovely time 🥰
The biggest trouble is that the menu is SO appealing, it’s nigh impossible to choose what you want. But you can rest assured you’ll enjoy whatever you decide! The stand out for me was a Jerusalem artichoke and blue cheese salad : well proportioned and absolutely gorgeous. Staff were very pleasant and I could hear kind advice and recommendations given to would-be-diners that couldn’t be fitted in between bookings. Would recommend.
Amazing service, atmosphere and food. We were only in Dublin, but our meal at Delahunt was definitely a highlight
Scandalous strategy - from 6 people they force a group menu at 45 euros but with less options than the normal menu at 40 euros just to make more money.
Really nice personel and food is simple but very tasty
Excellent lamb, pink and delicious. We booked for the high stools, but fortunately there was a normal table free when we got there = the stools looked a bit awkward for the long-legged. Guinness bread and other courses also very good. The ground floor restaurant feels like a bar, with very pleasant atmosphere, although compared to real Dublin bars the decor was a bit uninspired. Wine very good. Only quibble was that the separately ordered courgette side dish didn’t go with the taste and texture of the lamb at all, but very good in itself when eaten separately. Highly recommend. Best meal we had in our short trip to Dublin.
Although the food is usually really good, I was disappointed that the restaurant did nothing to mark the occasion for why we were there. We chose Delahunt as the location for an anniversary and I had expected as usual with restaurants for this to be reflected in a dessert with ‘Congratulations’ or some sense of acknowledgement which it wasn’t. It just made the night feel a bit clinical and as though there was very little human connection to the cause of our celebration, would have been nice as this has always been the case for me in other restaurants when I’ve explained on the booking that it was a special occasion so disappointing
A lovely evening however the only negative was the smell of drains or poor plumbing which was quite strong around our dining area.
Beautiful vegetarian options.
I booked a table for my partner and I to celebrate his birthday! It was delicious from start to finish and the selection of wines is great, will be back!
Really enjoyed our visit here. Food was gorgeous and the atmosphere was great - busy but not packed, lovely traditional decor and great music. We had the market fish and lamb and both were gorgeous. I am always on the hunt for a decent Irish coffee and without doubt theirs was the best I've tried! Will definitely be going back.
