Our aim is to provide the best seasonal, local produce in a relaxed and welcoming setting. Our menus are influenced by traditional and often overlooked cookery techniques, in keeping with the buildings Victorian origins. Home curing, slow cooked braises, pickles, preserves, traditional desserts and bread-making are some of our specialities. Championing small local producers is an essential part of our ethos
To add to Delahunt’s history we have built a cocktail bar on our first floor. The focal point is a striking bay window overlooking Camden Street, accompanied by vaulted ceilings, retro furniture and custom wooden paneling, original fireplaces, and a wide range of spirits and craft cocktails. The bar is walk in only.
I really enjoyed Dealhunt, the staff were exceptional, helpful without being intrusive, attentive without being bothersome. The food was a wonderful symphony of flavours and the attention to detail was evident on every plateful presented to us. I would have no hesitation in visiting Delahunt again and look forward to my next visit. Nothing was too much trouble and the experience was flawless from start to finish.
excellent food and lovely atmosphere - every detail is excellent and enjoyed the wildflowers on the tables, really enjoyed it and definitely one to come back to!! My only critique is to modify the solitary table at the front window, it has a less pleasant view behind the counter. We asked to move to another table and luckily it was not a problem, thank you again!
Best meal I have had in a long time. Food was packed with flavour and we had a beautiful window seat. I will certainly be back soon.
Exceptional place. Can’t rate the food highly enough. The staff were so friendly and the ambience buzzing.
Was great experience great tasting food.
Top staff recommendations....
This is definitely one of the top restaurants in Dublin. It is a limited menu which may not suit all but the food is presented gorgeously.....you eat with your eyes....and tastes fantastic. All 3 of us loved each course that we had and we will definitely return.
Never fails to succeed in quality and service. The place is so comfortable and well thought out also.
A little pricy compared to other Dublin restaurants, but food, service and ambiance were wonderful.
Lovely! California take on Irish cuisine. Fresh, seasonal, thoughtful.
We went mad and ordered an expensive bottle of wine for the occasion, which was delicious. Starters and mains were out-standing from the short but balanced menu - but the desserts were very disappointing. The base of the tart was burnt and we should have sent it back to the kitchen so the disappointment was partly our fault. The Pannacotta lacked any wobble!
The room is great and the service is both efficient and just attentive enough. Free sparkling and still water! prices are good.
Lovely fresh local Irish food, imaginatively presented.
Adore everything about Delahunt. The window seat is romance epitomised!
Amazing food, service and ambience, will most definitely be back
Amazing meal very high quality would recommend.
Would not recommend to a friend as Menu is quite limited and the restaurant is very noisy. Waiters let cutlery fall to the floor at their station and the noise it made would lift you out of your seat. We liked it ourselves and food was lovely.. and we had a lovely evening that didn’t break the bank.
Waiting staff very well trained and efficient.
Unfortunately we arrived on refuse collection evening, so stepped out of a taxi to bin bags on the footpath... I know is can’t be avoided but still it is unsightly...
Très beau restaurant, ambiance chaleureuse. Cuisine simple mais de grande qualité, prix très raisonnables.
It was a wonderful dining experience. My only fault was that our cocktails arrived with our entree leaving no time to order a bottle of wine. It would have been nice to enjoy the cocktail at the start before the food arrived.
The homemade black pudding- fantastic - tasty crumbly - one of the best starters in Dublin. Great value- buzzing
On the positive the service is excellent, staff are very pleasant. Very limited menu, crowded dining room. Two of our group enjoyed the fish main but otherwise the food was average, we all finished but I would not return to this restaurant when there is much better restaurants all around Dublin.,
we had a delicious food
and lovely table in the window will be back again soon
Super fresh food, great service and lovely ambience. Already booked to return!
It was fine... but I expected more. Underwhelming, I don’t feel the need to go back.
An excellent meal and all round experience, including the attentive but low key friendly service.
We really enjoyed our evening at Delahunt, the staff were friendly, the food was very good and the decor was great. I was particularly impressed with the precise coffee making, weighing the grinds, goes to show the quality of service and dedication to the product they are delivering.
Outstanding meal. All dishes were tasty and well conceived. Would return in a heart beat.
Duck not a composed dish, a collection of ingredients. Fish was heavily salted - drank a pitcher of water as accompaniment. When waitstaff informed, no concrete action taken.
Food is absolutely delicious ! Service is great ! Ambiance is adaptated for romantic dinner as for friends dinner.
My experience this time was not as good as my previous visits. My server was a bit scatty to say the least. As we were there for the early serving and the restaurant was not full I had to remind our waiter about our drinks. The food itself was very tasty if a little cold. Overall not my best visit and as I had highly recommended it to my friend for whom it was a first visit, I was disappointed.
Delicious eats in a fun old setting
Incredible. Perfect evening in Dublin.
Food was excellent, service was brisk and somewhat rude. We felt that the waitress was annoyed and impatient with our brief questions.
Spectacular. Wow, I was blown away by everything in Delahunt tonight. Simply amazing. Will be recommending to everyone I know. Staff fab, food fab, decor fab, wine fab. Didn’t have a cocktail but they looked amazing so will try next time.
Super great. Initially we saw the menu and judged it was limited. Once our meal came we realized less was more. Highly recommend!!
Birthday. Food was amazing, service was even better. Would recommend to anyone in Dublin.
Delahunt were very accommodating to our large group and we thank them for this. The food was a credit to the chef and staff, everyone thought each dish was delicious.
This is a wonderful restaurant. Food is absolutely top class. Staff were brilliant. Highly recommended!
The food was delicious! I would definitely recommend going there.
Noise level could be improved ...... not suitable for a romantic meal or a proposal !!!!
Oh wow! Perfection! From our arrival to find our table ready and the restaurant buzzing to the fabulous staff who not only knew everything about the food being served, recommended excellent wine and then gave us a potted history of the building - this was a dining out experience we would recommend to anyone! We left with full bellies and that warm feeling from a truly great night out... thank you so much and can’t wait to return!
we had a wonderfull evening at Delahunt's : very nice, cosy athmosphere, think of a traditional, brasserie-like setting with a comtemporary touch, friendly staff, excellent food and matching wines.
