   The waitstaff were incredibly lovely! Some of my friends were late to the reservation and the waitstaff were so patient and did not rush us to order. I've been to some restaurants where I've felt the waitstaff were rude or not friendly. However, this restaurant had the loveliest and friendliest staff. I will definitely come back again!

   service fee and Sunday service fee total 20% if i had of known would have cancelled reservation. There was no wow factor with the food. It was okay, therefore the bill of $780 that didnt include dessert or wine and only 4 beers is over priced. Better value at Americana grill and Gimlet. Would i go back doubt it. I would recommend Donnini has better pasta by a mile.

   Exceptional food and even better service - we bought our baby with a pram and the manager was so accommodating and lovely , very rare these days to have such wonderful service! Will definitely be back

   It was fine - I arrived on time for our Saturday lunchtime booking and was greeted by 3 people one after the other, who told me the manager would be with me soon to show me to our table. That took ten minutes, after which I realized my friends had already arrived so they could have taken me straight through. We tried to order a few different wines but 3 of them weren’t available, unfortunate as the wine list was quite small to begin with! Drinks took a long time to arrive (10 mins+) and I felt the food was expensive for what it was. Tasty food and lovely service once they got to you, but felt it was understaffed, weird way of greeting diners when they first arrive and lack of available wines on the list.

   Having been long term patrons of Ronnie, Mallory and the Di Stasio team’s venues in St Kilda and the city, we love the Carlton venue and its alfresco vibe and the food is exceptional as always. Linda and John Saunders 👍

   Disappointing. Very noisy as seated besides table of 6 and behind was a cocktail shaker. Couldn’t hear waitress or others at table. Share plates were underwhelming some lacking salt. Carpaccio was lovely. Overpriced. Service was initially slow but then plates arrived too quickly. Drinks service prompt. Naive waitressing.

    Had lunch here the other day which I really enjoyed. It is expensive, but the food was excellent and innovative. I sat inside, but there is also an excellent outdoor courtyard

    The quality of the food was very good but it was overpriced. There was a long wait between courses and the restaurant was very noisy. I won’t be going back.

    The venue was beautiful! It had such a lovely atmosphere, perfect for a nice dinner and drinks. The service was impeccable, all of the staff were friendly which made the experience more enjoyable. The food was suburb, beautiful flavours! So delicious. Overall experience was a 10/10, will definitely be coming back.

    Unfortunately it took over an hour for us to receive anything, even bread! …and by the time we did receive our food, my family was tired and frustrated and I didn’t even get to finish my meal. I very disappointing birthday dinner

    My issue what that I had walked in the heat and couldn’t find it. No numbers and a very tiny sign. Sat inside as it was so hot outside however looked nice outside. Food was very nice. I had pizza and we share a carbonara dish which was also nice. Lovely waiter however found it like an oversized kitchen and again no signs to find the rest rooms. Would try it again.

    Gamberi e Ceci, Insalata Caprese, Focaccia, Linguini Vongole .... and then on the way out our Host was dining with a few friends and his two poodles, and asked me how was the night! Perfecto, Grazie a Mille.

    The servers were friendly, the wine we ordered was very nice and overall the food was tasty with the garlic bread a stand out. BUT I would say this place was a bit confused about what kind of dining experience it was offering. We were provided with pens and asked to tick boxes on the paper menu to indicate our order. A gimmick which seemed inconsistent with the apparent fine dining aspirations of the place, felt like being asked to do admin and which I absolutely hated. The food and wine was very over priced for what we received. We were particularly irritated at the portion size of the pasta main which cost $38 (utterly outrageous). Strangest of all though was that it seemed the female staff were required to wear a uniform (some kind of brightly coloured shirt dress) but the male staff seemed to wear whatever they fancied. Overall, an irritating and off-putting dining experience. Like so many others, we won't return.

    Beautiful food and pretty good service. Would have been great experience except for the presence of the middle aged thug couple who allowed their four young kids to run around, back and forth past our table, shrieking. Staff said and did nothing.

    I cannot fault this restaurant. I sat in the outdoor courtyard on a beautiful sunny day and it was heaven. Food, drinks are service were exceptional.

    One of our favourite places to sit back and relax and this time we were fortunate to get an table outside on a beautiful warm and sunny night. We always have our favourite go to's - the arancini, the heirloom tomato pasta and the delicious gelato along with the delicious Aperol Spritz to start with and then a bottle of the amazing Il Nostro Rosato. Just love this place.

    Lovely ambiance and good service, only issue is that on arrival we were offered still or sparkling water with a significant cost for still water where we would have been happy with tap water if we knew we had that option.

    Was an early booking as we had plans afterwards. Whilst the Arancini was very nice, I wouldn’t say it was mind blowing. My husband ordered the carbonara on advice from waitress, sorry, but it was basically Mac n cheese. I had a pasta with a zucchini & onion sauce, much nicer than my husband’s but still not mind blowing, neither dish was worth the $93 we spent on the 2 pastas. We were also charged $15 for tap water. Sorry, we won’t be back. Was disappointed because we were really looking forward to it after it being highly recommended. My pet hate is when wait staff are constantly at your table, and this happened the whole time. Every few minutes. Was really annoying. All up, $157 for 2 entrees, 2 pastas, 1 glass of wine & water. The night before, I had a mind blowing ragu pasta for $30 at a Restaurant in Brunswick & will definitely go back there. But can’t say we’ll be back to DiStasio’s. Sorry for harsh review, but I have to be honest. We don’t mind spending the money if it’s good food, but it was very overrated, over priced & just not amazing.
