   The food and the service were impeccable. But, the hard concerted floors make it difficult to hear (the noise level was very high). Also some of the projections in the restaurant were a bit questionable… others great. Overall a fab experience…

    A great vibe in the restaurant but food wasn’t nearly as good as the st kilda venue. Staff were good once they sorted out the mix up with our table but it’s missing the finesse of the old days at Di Stasio.

    Surcharges of 20% on top of the weekend menu of 3 courses you are forced to have is a bit rich. Most customers are happy to go that way understanding it’s a weekend and guarantees a minimum spend but to then add a weekend surcharge as well seems like double dipping and a service charge of 10% for a party of 6 which is not a big group to service. Many other quality restaurants in the area only charge a weekend fee on Sunday and a few on groups of over 8. I love Citta as it’s my “local” and regularly go there with a friend for lunch or another couple for dinner. These fees will make me think twice. It does say it on the website but I must have missed it. Disappointing as I was introducing new friends to Citta and with whom we have dined at many memorable restaurants globally. I know firsthand that it’s been a tough few years in hospitality and more headwinds are ahead but I don’t think this is a smart way to treat your loyal customers.

    Waiters kept interpreting dinner asking how the food was, several different staff members- not ideal for romantic dinner. Table was too small. Food was average and way overpriced. Entres not too bad, but mains were awful. Originally we wanted to do a 3 course menu, decided very quickly after mains we weren't staying for dessert, but were charged anyway (even though dessert had not yet been ordered). Generally overpriced, food average, staff were too much. Ambiance was good though.

    Although the food was nice, it was of average quality in terms of flavours and presentation, so, for us clearly overpriced. The place is way too noisy. Staff was lovely but the “weekend surcharge” of 40$ is excessive. Unlike DiStasio Carlton, DiStasio Citta was a disappointment for us.

    A very well oiled machine, the knowledge of the wait staff and the quality of the food was better than expected. Sometimes a restaurant that has been trading for so many years gets a bit tired - not Di Stasi. Prices are regular Melbourne rates, which is always a surprise as SA doesn't mark up wines by that much in general. We went lower end and had the Di Stasio Chardonnay - a buttery wine from their Yarra Valley winery. Loved it!

    To keep it short, Di Stasio Citta provided us with amazing food, beautiful ambiance and even better service, I cannot recommend this restaurant enough! The best Italian restaurant that my partner and I have visited in Australia.

    We booked the 3 course dinner and it was superb. Good quality tasty Italian food. Highly rate dining in this restaurant as the service and food are outstanding. They also were very kind in helping us celebrate 2 family members with singing happy birthday and sparklers with dessert. lovely touch thank you.

    Absolutely wonderful food, I had the lamb shoulder and it was cooked to perfection. The chocolate mousse was also a highlight. A little bit pricey overall for lunch in my view but the service was excellent and so was the food.

    As always great food and service from Citta The pasta is always exceptional, Drinks are a standout also The french door guy is a gentleman, The Asian waitress always attentive and friendly. I highly recommend The Negroni , Crab pasta and Scallops Will be back and looking forward to it

    Good. Not Great. We ate dinner at Citta and it was not amazing I’ll be honest. The food was inconsistent depending on what we ordered. Oysters were very fresh but the octopus w red wine / chilli was nothing special. Fish of the day - swordfish - was overpowered with a butter base sauce. The lamb shoulder sauce too strong however the mushroom pasta and entree good. They seem to to vegetarian well. Service was not up to standard for the price. Water glasses left unfilled, not asked if we wanted more drinks (in most restaurants they ask you as soon as you finish your glass). We were left sitting with our empty main dishes too long. We had to ask for a second serving of bread. For $600 these things should not happen. Dessert was decent but small and nothing special. Unlikely to return and won’t recommend Citta. Will go back yo St Kilda which seems to be at the right standard for the price.
