Diwali Indian Restaurant
Diwali main focus is to bring diners as much of the flavours and exotic spices to their menu from different parts of India as possible. Diwali is a relaxed Dublin restaurant bringing together a mixed management of talented and experienced staff from other successful Indian restaurants.
We had a wonderful dining experience in Diwali. The staff are so helpful and friendly they gave our group complimentary drinks and starters!
It was an ideal dining experience
lovely food, nice ambience, staff were very helpful, and we were offered a gift voucher and a free side dish as an apology for not having one of the dishes we ordered. Will come back soon!
Early bird great value for money
Vibrant and busy restaurant, service excellent. Food so tasty, Indian food turned up a notch.
Food is always good and service is great. Wine list is poor but overall a very good Indian.
We went for food on a very busy night of the year so service was definitely under pressure but in overall great!
We visited on one of the busiest nights, Christmas Eve just as the shops were closing. The place was packed but once we got seated the service and food were still the same standard, fabulous. There is always a good atmosphere but just better.
The food is amazing you will not be disappointed and all the servers are super nice.
Excellent as always!
Food fab as always live the restaurant Seating a bit cramped not very private Staff excellent
Waiter brought us the bill and stood there with card machine the minute our plates had been cleared and while my brother still had half his drink left. We were rushed out to accommodate a larger party who had arrived.
I love Diwali. Superb atmosphere. Staff totally amazing & special mention to Rana who made sure we had a fantastic evening.
Food is totally DELICIOUS. It’s always packed & always great. Thanks to all at Diwali for your superb service & excellent food. 10/10 👍🏻
It was my first time in the restaurant We had a fantastic meal enjoyed the food it was excellent Very pleasant staff I’ll definitely be returning very soon I highly recommend it.
Food was great, service could have been friendlier. It was really busy but you did feel like the next one on the list vs real care taken over what we wanted - we were just the next table to be fed, which was a bit disappointing. But it was humming with loads of people in there. Rogan Josh was one of the best we’ve had in Ireland!
I’m a regular here, old style decor but that doesn’t take from the experience! Great food, very friendly service and fantastic atmosphere-looking forward to my next visit!
A great place for a causal meal with such friendly staff. Will always come back.
We used to love Diwali. This time the food was not edible. The tandoori chicken was so dry— it was difficult to chew. We left less than half a meal.
Shocking experience, made feel like everything is an effort. Staff were very poor, no organisation. Waiting over a half hour and received our main courses before our starters and there was no apology. Finally finished our mains got the dessert menu and waited over 15 minutes for someone to come back to us. Told them we just wanted the bill, which was wrong and the waiter seemed to be annoyed at the fact we told him it was wrong. Would never go back.
Yes I would friendly and helpful staff I would go back it's been a while both my wife and myself were there
Delicious food, great service. Early bird is great value
The food was very tasty but we asked for the Masala to be spicy and this was agreed to. It was not spicy at all. Delicious, but not spicy as requested. It was difficult to get anyone's attention due to the fact that they were so busy but when we did get someone the service was great.
Beautiful meal, great service and the staff were both attentive and very pleasant. I couldn't recommend it more. Looking forward to our next visit already
Had a lovely meal in Diwali last week. Food was very tasty and the service was great👌🏼 Really good value in the early bird menu and will definitely be back 😊
This was a find. We are from the US and we are used to Indian food that is rich in flavor and spices. I was a little worried because the other foods we had tried had not been very flavorful. I was pleasantly surprised to find the food to be of a caliber I have come to expect at home. In addition, the service was great. Our waiter was wonderful and willing to spend time with us, answering our questions about the differences in cuisine in India by region as well as the religious influences that play out in Indian food. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a very good Indian meal.
Outstanding food and service as always. Diwali never ever disappoints.
Dear enough for family of 6 but very enjoyable
Such a nice experience! Service was attentive and friendly. They even tailored a dish to my needs making it milder than normal which I appreciated since they were so busy. Would definitely recommend!
As always you get a great welcome from all
Lovely food and friendly staff. Complimentary drink at the end of the meal was a nice touch.
Amazing food and service, when in Dublin, GO! MAke sure to have reservations!
We are traveling from out of town, and had a lovely Christmas Eve dinner at Diwali.
Can't say anything about the restaurant apart from one thing - they don't respect OpenTable.ie table bookings. The table wasn't there for us, and we were stood for 20 mins, until eventually we were guided a couple blocks away to an "affiliated" Indian restaurant. In fairness, we did get some compensation in form of a voucher and a few meals on the house, but it doesn't change the fact, that we had not eaten in Diwali as we intended.
Friendly service and good food. Complimentary drink and voucher for return meal a nice touch
10th wedding anniversary celebration
Essen sehr gut recht teuer
Excellent food, service, ambiance and value. Would highly recommend as favourite ethnic restaurant in city centre.
An excellent restaurant with great and friendly service and good food and eeekday specials
After four weeks traveling through Ireland and U.K. we chose to share our last supper with our Dublin friends at Diwali. We had eaten in many fine restaurants and visited many famous pubs along the way. Saying goodbye to our friends over dinner at Diwali’s was a wonderful parting gift! Truly fine experience in ever way. Thanks!
Food was lovely, service was very poor we had to constantly wave at staff for water and menus. The restaurant was not busy...
Superb food with excellent service. Great combination. Highly recommended.
Food was great and plentiful . Family of 6 and we ate all
