The food was really excellent. Strongly recommend the spanikopita, the chicken and the dorade. Was not a fan of the club techno music that was pretty loud, but otherwise really great spot.
Far less than advertised and disappointing. Nice wine list that is reasonably priced. Excellent attentive service. Overall pretty restaurant and bar area. Food was just OK and pricey. Tried 6-7 different items. Greek salad was just fair. Bambas had little taste and far too much cheese. Beef souvlaki was tasty but a very small portion for the $19 price. Gnocchi was overdone. Best things we ate were the chicken thigh entree and Brussel sprouts, both of which were very good with lots of flavor. Probably will not return given other newcomers in DC.
The special croquettes were fantastic and for a dish that usually is just good this was great and should be added to the menu. The lamb is a beautiful presentation but I think it lacked a bit of flavor so I'd recommend it to others but may pass on it myself. Host staff was very friendly and server was attentive. Busy vibe with solid house jams in background create a fun date or night out atmosphere. Will be back and recommend.

I don’t know a great deal about wine but the waiter was very knowledgeable and was able to make suggestions based on others we liked. I enjoyed it. Based on what I’ve paid for nice bottles before, I think the price per glass was reasonable.
I do not remember the waiters name but he was very helpful and attentive. I pulled my daughters chair out but neglected to take her coat for her and the waiter was right on it.
Parking was an issue. There was a parking garage within easy walking distance but it was expensive.
With tax and tip we were just under $200 for 2 small plates, 2 salads and 4 glasses of wine.
I would go again but not often.
Wanted to support this new restaurant on 14th. The small plates were all great, and came out super fast. Varied wine selection. Excellent service. Definitely give it a try!

Having booked through open table, would have liked to sit at an actual table instead of a high top with little space. Everything else was great, though.

The service was spot on, the food elegant and deep with authentic and unique flavors, simple with the right ingredients shining all by themselves. Highly recommend the Salt Crusted Dorade. The manager even prepared it table side. Last time I experienced that I was in Venice, Italy.

Big disappointment and waste of money. Very surprised by the positive reviews. The food is not good enough to make up for the lackluster service. Made a reservation 5 days in advance but it was a scramble to set a table when I arrived on time. My table was in the window and it was so cold that I had to wear my coat and continually get up to warm up with the hand dryer in the bathroom. It took over ten minutes to even be acknowledged by a server. Drinks took over 30 minutes to arrive. Many saucey meze courses but no offer to refresh plates (literally the size of saucers) so everything just meddled together. Had to ask for bread to accompany a $30 charcuterie board that literally looked like it was slapped together from whatever they could find at Trader Joe’s. Server did not wear mask correctly the entire time we were there (cover your nose!!!!). Hard pass.
Cool vibe and delicious food. Staff was friendly and helpful. I would suggest getting there early because it gets pretty crowded and loud afrter 6pm. The steak chop was so delicious and aesthetically pleasing. The churros where bomb, and compliments of the owner because we were celebrating a birthday.
We traveled 3.5 hours to DC to celebrate my wife’s birthday weekend. We plan our trips around food and so I needed to find the perfect restaurant to start our trip. I scoured multiple websites and reviews before deciding on Dolce Vita. I was skeptical about the breadth of cuisines on the menu concerned that they would be expansive but not perfected. As soon as we took our first bites, all reservations were erased and we were transported on a Mediterranean/North African culinary delight with Pavel(Paul) as our knowledgeable and personable guide. We can eat so we chose four mezzes and the Moroccan spritzer to start-the tuna, the sardines, the camerones, and gnocchi with octopus. Each dish shined on its own but at the same time complemented each other. The sardines brought me back to a trip I took to southern Spain 20 years ago. For the birthday girl the gnocchi was the perfect comfort food that brought her back to her grandmother’s kitchen on a cold winters day. Pavel, our genuinely amiable host, then helped us pair a smooth balanced Italian red with our Brussels and Eggplant dishes before we moved to the star of the evening- the lamb shank! Perfectly seasoned and accompanied with grilled and puréed vegetables, it was the most delicious- tender -melt in your mouth lamb dish (or any dish for that matter) we have ever had the pleasure of eating!! We ended the evening with a baked Alaska and complimentary birthday limoncello aperitif! The cuisine itself was amazing but it was the ambience, the attention to detail, the presentation of the dishes, the genuine love for the culinary arts that radiated from the kitchen and the staff to our tables and plates making this an overall 5 star dining experience that we hope to enjoy again in the near future!
Tasty tapas, but some plates had a better presentation than taste. Loved the ambiance and wait staff were very nice and on top of things (maybe too frequently checking on you, in my opinion). I’ll be returning!!
Absolutely delicious meal. I read about it off Eaters December list and it did not disappoint. Quite surprising. Carpaccio was terrific, I’d return for that alone. Also got the moussakka, Greek salad, cauliflower, and the lamb shank! Dinner for two and we were absolutely stuffed. Beautiful resto, great night out, highly recommend.

While visiting DC we loved the food so much that we decided to also celebrate NYE here. The 5 course meal was exceptional, presentation like a piece of art as usual & delicious created by Executive Chef, Elier Rodriguez. Trendy crowed with a good vibe. We’ll be back & highly recommend it for those who love fine dining!

Food was cold and service was lacking
Awesome experience. Our server was fantastic, food was all very tasty, we had the chicken tagine and the Waygu special. I never order chicken but my son insisted and i was impressed. it was perfectly crispy on the outside with really silky well spiced sauce. It’s expensive but we all enjoyed ourselves and would definitely return.
Great experience, friendly service and delicious food. My favorite dishes were Arroz Caldoso, a Spanish style wet rice, and Churros for dessert. Best churros I’ve eaten in the US, they are the real deal.

Loved the Souvlaki, Dates and Carpaccio starters. The tuna tartare and the scallops were not as fresh. Had a slightly fishy taste. The churros and sorbet were delicious. The bread basket was ok. I understand that the restaurant has just opened and the servers are still learning, but it was hard to hear everything over the noise.
Great addition to 14th Street. Plates were unique and all were delicious. Ellie was our server and she was excellent. Will come back again!
Amazing restaurant! The service was fantastic. All of the food was delicious, which is particularly impressive given they only opened two weeks ago. Having places like this open up nearby is why it's great to live in the city. Definitely go!

Went to Dolce Vita for a dinner with friends and the experience was not great. The food was decent, nothing extraordinary and the drinks were good. But the service was awful. Their computer system went down which I can understand contributed to the poor service, but our waiter disappeared for long portions of the meal and we had to basically flag them down for more water and to order more dishes. It also took a very long time to get the things we ordered and then everything came all at once. The tables were also very close together which made it very crowded and loud. It was a bit unexpected given that COVID is still pretty prevalent.

Booked a table upstairs for my Wife's Birthday. Initial confusion regarding availability of upstairs table was quickly resolved by a Manager and up we went.
Restaurant had only been open 8 days at this point.
Staff was friendly and accommodating - Fernando (senior Manager) and Feraz (our waiter) quickly became our friends and did "backflips" to make up for a menu misprint and unavailable appetizer due to a supplier mishap.
Drinks were amazing, appetizers were interesting and delicious, and after 4 appetizers (2 comped by Fernando), no room to order what looked like Dinners to die for !
By the end of the night, we knew most of the upstairs diners at other tables, had shared our comped birthday Baked Alaska and had the most wonderful evening !!

The food is presented beautifully, tasted delicious and is never overpowering in flavors. The chicken and calamari appetizer and eggplant salad dish are stars! The lamb main dish is divine!
Drinks from the bar balanced the meal wonderfully! Great personal care was made to ensure that one’s preferences were satisfied.
The service was top notch. Paul was professional, had wonderful suggestions throughout the night and knew when we needed more or less of something.
We will definitely be back and I am certain so will Michelin!
