    I recently ate at Elephant & Castle. The reservation was simple to arrange, and the staff were exceedingly helpful in addressing our order and needs. The food was great, had the wings to start and had the hake for main course. Both dishes were amazing and would recommend both to any who visit this place. Had a glass of the New Zealand white wine also which I would also recommend. The overall ambiance was excellent, and we found the staff very accommodating. Would definitely revisit!!

    This place was amazing when it first opened but we got a shock yesterday. We used to love it here because of the play area but It was in bits yesterday and everything looks old and broken up now. Writing all over the place and just disgusting. This is probably down to adults leaving their children unsupervised and the company not maintaining the play area. We have a 2 and 5 year old and there was children aged about 10 or older running around and climbing on top of the tower which made it dangerous. It was the best I've seen when it first opened but not now. Food was ok nothing amazing, expensive for what you get. Service was good and staff are friendly. We won't be back!

    We have been going to E&C Lucan since it opened and this was the poorest experience we had. The cheese on my burger had split, the sandwich was bland and was served on small plate with only handful of chips and no side salad. It was so poor compared to usual standard. Very poor value for money and disappointing experience. Would be slow to go back to this venue.

    Food was very poor quality. Soggy chips, thick lumpy soup, steak not rested, crunchy, tasteless calamari. Very disappointing for the price. Server was friendly and helpful.

    Play area is the only real positive unfortunately. Chicken wings were lovely but far too expensive at 17.95! Burgers for adult mains were very bland. The children's menu sausages and mash was horrible... the sausages were such terrible quality, I felt bad feeding my child it and the mash did not taste nice. Service was OK. I would only go again when my child wants to go for the play area... think we may be skipping the food though and just get a drink!
