   Everything was ok , what you would expect from casual dining I was a little disappointed with my main, I just expected better and it felt the recipe was at fault. But I'm not really a foodie so there might think it's perfect The dessert was great, a real treat

   Simply the worst dining experience I’ve ever had. Burgers were cold and dry. Presentation was really poor and they messed up on one of the four main courses.. We had to ask for ketchup and mayonnaise four times…. This was a birthday treat for my 10 year old. Really disappointing experience.

   Awful service and huge delay with food (over an hour waiting for our food) even though restaurant wasn’t even half full. Very disappointing with no meaningful apology or acknowledgment of the poor service! Was charged 12.5% service charge as table of 6. Definitely won’t be back and wouldn’t recommend.

    Food presentation wasn't great, we had to ask a number of times for drinks although the restaurant wasn't busy, servers were very pleasant though. Very overpriced for the quality of food served unfortunately.

    Had dinner with friends in Monkstown last night. Great service from the young lad with the curly hair (sorry, didn't get his name) he will definitely go far in life, brilliant attitude and willingness to go beyond to provide a service, a very positive experience. The decor is simple which was a real plus. Layout is good. Food was excellent, loved the ribs and steak and just inbperfect portions. Only negative is there should be a vegetable serving with the pan fried chicken, made the meal a bit 2 dimensional and reduce the amount of mashed potatoes. Desserts were delicious all round. Will be back to try something different next time.

    Food and atmosphere was great. Most of the staff that served our table were friendly however there was one server who was a little unfriendly. Slow to clear our tables, we had to ask them to take away plates from starters and mains after we had finished eating. One of our mains was forgotten but they kindly apologized and took it off the bill.

    There was 1 waiter during Sunday brunch for the entire restaurant. Service was v poor and the food was cold when it arrived.

    We had a lovely meal with very attentive staff and a musician playing in background. My only complaint is that the restaurant was bit chilly. Most people ate dinner in their coats.

    We had a lovely family meal here on Christmas Eve, the restaurant was very festive and we really enjoyed our meal. There is something on the menu to suit all ages and tastes!

    Good overall but service a bit patchy...we had to ask for water twice, ask for dessert twice and bill twice...very friendly staff though. Will be back again as food was lovely but a bit more attention to service required.

    I brought a visitor here as I really like the food and she was disappointed with service which was slow and the temperature was cold. Staff have loud speaking voices and we had to listen to their side of conversations with disappointed customers re delivery service. It seemed that there were not enough staff when we were there at 4.30pm as we waited a long time to be seated and order taken. Overall a disappointment.

    Really enjoyable meal. The only downside was outside the restaurant's control - why do parents of young children not ensure they do not speak too loudly when in public? I was with my 23 year old son and I would never have allowed him to disturb other diners, no matter what age he was. Top Marks to the staff.

    Lovely helpful and friendly staff. The dirty chicken platter is a confused, bland dish of uncomfortably tepid chicken with cold nachos that are too small to pick up the chicken. Burgers aren’t even average. A good reminder of why Press Up venues should be avoided.

    Staff are amazing- so while the food is great the staff make all the difference. We went there by chance a few weeks ago and when we had a birthday celebration and this week facing another family celebration I suggested our usual place and the kids( I have 6) all came back with no! We want to go to Elephant and Castle - food is fab and staff are lovely !!

    With Elephant & Castle you know what to expect and they consistently deliver! The service is good and so is the food. I love the chicken wings and the Mexican Salad! Good value and fast service. What more could you ask for!

    We ate at 7pm on a Saturday evening and they were understaffed. Had to wait 40 mins for a table and the food took 30 mins to arrive after ordering. Staff did their best but food was basic and ambience terrible. Manager comped us some drinks and desserts which was decent of him but we’ll never eat there again. Real shame

    Waited full hour for simple burgers, pasta with tomato sauce and a seafood linguine. Had asked for kids food to be brought out as soon as ready. Disappointed. Staff apologised when I enquired after 50 mins and got food out very quickly then. But for a simple quick week night meal it did not meet expectations at all. We understood staff shortages is a problem. If we had known when we arrived that it would have taken so long then we would have left. We won’t be returning anytime soon.

    Nice place but food was disappointing, especially the zucchini sandwich and the veggie burger. Chips were undercooked. The staff had a great attitude but our chicken wings starter didn’t arrive until after we finished our main course.

    Love the food and always loved the restaurant in temple bar. Every single time I've been to the monkstown (about 8 times or more)branch they get something wrong in the order. Take a while to bring whatever was forgotten. Difficult to get a hold of a waiter. Have always had to request obvious things like water, ketchup etc and they take a while to come. My daughter's burger was getting cold by the time the ketchup came. I will keep coming back as it's a handy location and love the food but please train the staff more efficiently. They are very nice but it's very scatty.
