Elephant & Castle is located on the ground floor of The Mayson Hotel. It’s interiors pay homage to the original warehouse with exposed brickwork and timber ceilings, floor to ceiling crittall windows and bespoke wall lights.     Our food and drinks were great and the service was fairly quick. I loved the atmosphere and design of the restaurant itself. Allergy menu was available on request and the allergens in each dish was very clearly stated (as I am coeliac and dairy free)

    Last times we had food it was very satisfying last night un fortunately very poor we left very dissatisfied customer there was 1 male member of staff tidy beard who's service and courtesy was remarkably he certainly is a valued member of your staff

    A very odd menu which really did not suit our tastes. The issues began when we tried to order cocktails before dinner. My wife requested a Boulevardier which neither the waiter nor the bartender had a clue how to make. So we tried for a Manhattan. The waiter asked if that was wine but eventually the bartender was able to make a couple of those. When it was time for the food order the menu which was presented did not include any of the omelette choices that were shown on the online menu on Open Table. So I had spaghetti with goat cheese which was okay but not something I would consider having again. My wife had the vintage burger which was overcooked to the point of being inedible. Not a place that we would consider revisiting.

    Me and my partner got food for dinner on our first nights stay at the mayson, the food was good i got to alter some things within the food, the portion sizes are good for the price but they are on the bigger side.

    Food tasted lovely but servive was extremely slow & tye venue itself was not busy. Took over 40mins between starter & main. Way too long for a burger & fish & chips. Ordered a second glass of wine, took 20mins to get to the table. I wouldn't be rushing back

    Order the mussels they were delicious but could have done with a side bowl for the shells and a finger dip for cleaning, We also ordered the Battered fish, unfortunately it was so much over cooked the batter was so dark and the whole dish tasted mostly of oil

    Lovely experience as always. Gorgeous setting. The food was nice but not as nice as normal. The appetisers are very over priced, 17.95 for nachos, supposed to be for sharing but not a great amount for that price. Also 12.5% service charge on bigger tables. Also mussels as a main are quite small. Service was great though and will definitely return as its a family favourite.

    Have been to This Elephant and Castle in the Mayson about a dozen times. The food is always delicious. Some of the staff are very preocupied and got the order wrong, but they are always very friendly

    Food is mediocre at best, I wouldn't rush to return. Staff were lovely and busy bees yet kept very cool and professional. But the food is poor.

    My wife and I had a pre concert dinner at the Elephant and Castle before seeing Peter Gabriel at the 3 Arena. The food and service were excellent. This was an excellent choice for a pre concert dinner

    One of our main dishes did not contain it's main ingredient (goats cheese). We had to point out that we should have been informed of this and we're still charged full price. It was taken off the bill when we pointed it out

    Was staying at the hotel for a concert so booked into the restaurant and couldn’t fault anything with the restaurant, service was fast friendly and efficient, food was lovely and the atmosphere was nice and relaxing.. staff were so attentive and helpful..

    Great pre concert restaurant. Great burgers , wings, cocktails, etc. very stylish decor and buzzy atmosphere. Eating out in this city is so expensive generally, so don’t expect great value for money, especially the price of alcohol, but if you have occasion to eat out , I can recommend this venue. Very very good
