Elephant & Castle is located on the ground floor of The Mayson Hotel. It’s interiors pay homage to the original warehouse with exposed brickwork and timber ceilings, floor to ceiling crittall windows and bespoke wall lights. A beautiful large island bar is the centrepiece of this space, with specially commissioned hand-crafted stitched leather panels.     No menus on the table had to go bar and ask for them. No staff came to take order had to ask at the bar to order food. Starter arrived quickly but had to wait 40 mins after plates from starter were removed for main course. Ordered a gin and tonic only used half the bottle of tonic and the waitress took it away without asking or checking if it was empty or wanted another drink. I asked for another gin and to return the half bottle of tonic 40 mins later I had to ask another waiter why I had not got my gin. I go to the Elephant & Castle on a regular basis but this the worst experience I have had and will twice about coming back again. Your staff were lacking in basic skills of how customers should be served , when a table should be cleared and what you should remove and if there is food or beverages on a table to ask if it’s alright to remove them instead of just taking them away.

    Great food, lovely atmosphere. The service was very good despite it being very busy. The only thing I would say is that it’s a bit pricey for the type of food they serve.

    I asked for the buffalo wings to come with the sauce on the side but when they arrived the sauce was not on the side. I understand that perhaps the dish is not the same without the sauce, but if that was the case, maybe this could have been communicated before just seving it with the sauce. Also the size of the mussles were really tiny for the price. They were the size of a finger nail, which it is really tiny. Not sure if i would recommend it...the atmosphere was nice, and the lighting was lovely, but the quality/price rate of the foot needs to improve i think

    Lovely decor, nicely busy. The staff were friendly Ava attentive. Unfortunately the food let the place down. All very mediocre, burger was dry and the salad on the burger was ice cold. One of our party had a Caesar salad and it was fridge cold too. Soup was supposed to be carrot and coriander but there was no coriander, just parsley.

    When making my booking there was an option for occasion. Not thinking much of it, I selected ‘birthday’ because it was my wife’s birthday, I didn’t have any specific requests or wasn’t expecting anything. After myself and my wife finished our main course, the staff approached singing happy birthday with a plate beautifully designed with chocolate and ice cream and sang happy birthday. This was such a lovely gesture from the staff, they went above and beyond to make our experience all the more special. As always, the food & atmosphere was incredible. We always look to forward to returning to your restaurant and will continue to do so for many occasions to come. Thank you to all the staff.

    I ordered a bottle of wine with 2 glasses. The waitress brought 2 glasses of wine. I sid to her I asked for a bottle. They put the wine back in the bottle and re served the bottle... The bottle was all stained, we kew that's waht they had done... not super profesional Coudl have been better...

    Just come from the airport after a 2 hour delay. Staff were very accommodating and understanding why we were late. Food was AMAZING, large portion of chips and great burger.

    Smoking terrace doors need to be closed as smell is not pleasant whilst eating Smell on clothes when leaving restaurant of cooking fat is bad, need better extractors over cooking area

    Barely any options available for lactose intolerant people, fries were suggested as an option we could pick for dinner. No allergens on the menu whatsoever. Food arrived quiet cold, especially the fries. Ordered a drink they were out of it, ordered a different drink instead to be told that was the last one of those drinks available. Not a great experience, would of expected more from a press up location.

    Best spicy chicken wings I’ve ever had. Great portion of fish and chips. Bartenders are really good and the place in general is just outstanding. Next time I visit Dublin (I’m from Chicago), I will definitely be back (multiple times again just like with this trip). Cheers!

    Had a lovely meal here with my daughter before a concert in the 3 arena. Arrived earlier than expected and they gave us our table. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was amazing. The burger menu was very good and both our meals were very tasty. An ideal place to eat and drink before a concert.

    We were seated in the lobby which was a bit uncomfortable as we were beside the door and the door was open. People stood around us waiting for a table while we ate which was uncomfortable and people sat along side us waiting for a table which was awkward. The food was nice and I understand that the lobby is used during concerts to allow additional seating but I personally think it should be setup slightly better to make it less uncomfortable for overflow in the lobby

    It wasn’t very busy when we arrived and we’re seated immediately, first we had our drinks while we waited for our starters the Guinness was delicious aswel as the passion martini. I had the famous wings that were perfectly spiced and then moved onto the steak that was cooked to perfection at medium rare with the croquettes compiling the dish. All in the meal was excellent with the quality of food and drinks making the price very fair
