   Ella's never disappoints! Amazing food! The live music was perfect for a Sunday afternoon. Our server Jonathon was great! He was attentive and when he didn't know an answer to my questions, he came back promptly with an answer.

   My husband and I drove to Tampa from Orlando for the day and were looking for a unique place to have lunch and Ella’s was exactly what we were looking for. The food was amazing, the service was excellent and our server, Jonathan, gave great recommendations. We sat on the patio which was such a nice atmosphere. We loved the art and sculptures around the patio, it was so charming. Will definitely go back next time we’re in Tampa!

   If I could give Ella’s 6 stars I would. We came on Saturday for lunch and loved it so much that we booked our Sunday Soul Food lunch on the spot. Everything was delicious. I had the smoked brisket with collard greens. My wife had the veggie burger with bacon Mac-and-cheese and my niece had the fried chicken and waffles with bacon Mac-and-cheese. We love this place. The style, the food, everything. And fantastic service too. We will be back next time we are in town.

   What a great find. First time to Ella's and I'll certainly be back many times again. From the entrance, the staff and building is very different and quirky with a cool vibe and welcoming staff. We sat upstairs next to multiple small bourbon barrels aging some delicious whiskey. The drink menu is creative with generous pours. Dinner menu is equally creative. I had the buttered chicken with fettuccini that was packed with flavor and perfectly cooked. My GF had the smoked pork chop that was also juicy, topped with an apple bacon jam and served with gorgonzola topped sweet potatoes and roasted Brussel sprouts. Telling friends on Sunday, they've all been there and say I have to go back for delicious burgers or the Soul Food Sunday.

   Excellent service from Viet. Sirloin salad was gorgeous. Veggie burger was so so. Grits on both shrimp and grits plates came out lukewarm but manager brought piping hot replacements. We had mentioned in the reservation that it was a birthday but server did not ask. No complimentary desserts.

    We have been to Ella's and invited our friends to the Soul Food Sunday on Father's Day and had a great time ! Food was very good, waitress was wonderful and the one man band was very entertaining, not too loud for conversation, we sat upstairs.

    One of the best dining experiences I’ve had in years. Our server, Jonathan, was so polite and made great recommendations and knew about the origins of the food. Everyones meal was delicious. The entire staff— from the hostess to the bus boy—was smiling, it seemed like everyone was genuinely happy to work there, which makes me love this place! They have a laid back atmosphere with fun decor. We’ll definitely need to start coming here more.

    Food was good as well as it is a beautiful place (very unique decoration and style), only downside is that we had reservations and we were placed outside, and it was almost impossible to enjoy the food with the number of flies around. Server brought a citronella candle but definitely was not enough for them to be turned away. Will be back but not ever eating outside again.

    Big shout out to Alton our server. He was attentive, responsive, helpful, nice and professional. The soup of the day was green curry and it was delicious! We decided on 2 of the specials - the Mahi and the watermelon, feta, skirt steak salad. Both meals were wonderful and I would order same again when the opportunity presents. We always enjoy Ella's. The happy hour with the generous volume of wine in each glass (choose either red or white) for a very reasonable price is greatly appreciated.

    Excellent from start to finish. Host stand was prompt in greeting us and we were seated quickly. Our server Jonathan was exceptional and gave us a brief background on Ellas. He was attentive, engaging and friendly. He came by just enough and at appropriate times and did a.good job at.reading the table to know when we may need something. The food was out of this world delicious. Our table had fish/chips, curry, steak and chicken and each plate was cleaned. Hummus app was divine and the edamame was a huge portion. Bread brought to our table was the most delicious I've ever tasted. One delicious key lime pie was ordered by someone in the party and Johnathan kindly and proactively brought us 4 spoons. Our bill was split exactly as we asked with no problems. Kind mention to Benjamin- a member of the staff who we chatted up and ensured that we were enjoying ourselves. Overall A+ evening in a relaxing and casual atmosphere. Cannot wait to return here.

    It’s always a pleasure to come across a neighborhood gem of a restaurant. Ella’s Folk Art Cafe in Seminole Heights is such a place. The best description for the restaurant and its clientele is eclectic. The menu main courses include beef tenderloin, fried catfish, shrimp and grits or a delicious meat loaf. Watch out, though, there is a mushroom steak pie on the menu which isn’t a pie, it’s a pizza. 😋 There a great selection of locally brewed beers and a long list of bourbons to sip while listening to the live music. Parking is available and free, and seating is comfortable.

    Ella's is consistently outstanding with their food, ambiance and service. It's one of the gems in Tampa dining. My only disappointment at times is when I don't get there early enough and something in the menu I like is not available as they have sold out. Thank goodness their menu if full of other yummy food!

    Our family had such a great time at Ella’s. The hostess was accommodating when we requested to sit outside because it was such a beautiful evening. The food was fantastic and our server John was attentive, kind, and informative regarding the menu items and mixed drinks. 10/10 would recommend when visiting Tampa and as Tampa resident, this is definitely one of our favorite go to spots for a date night.

    One of my favorite restaurants in the Heights! Drinks are superb! Had the Old Fashioned and a spicy skinny margarita. Their soup special was the best mushroom soups I’ve ever had. Dinners were amazing and very fresh. Service was fantastic as always. They had a great live band playing and the Rays game on as we were seated near the bar so both my husband and I were in heaven. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for an amazing dinner and a great time!
