   Goes without saying that the wine is excellent. The food though simple and from a small menu is also excellent and of a high quality. We had the lamb for main course and it was cooked to perfection... all the accompaniments were delicious also. Lovely friendly efficient staff , nice welcoming atmosphere and nice music..not too loud! Overall excellent..would recommend for night out.

   Lovely dinner, food was excellent, a bit on the smaller side, onglet comes with only brocolis, had to add a portion of chips for extras € if you’re hungry, but cooked perfectly and very tasty. Service was very good , friendly staff.

    Disappointed that I booked a table for 2 a week in advance and we were seated at a bar, facing the deli counter / coffee making machine. Booking specified inside in the restaurant. We didn’t stay and went to another restaurant. I’ve been to Ely a few times for food and it’s always great, have bought wine there before too on a few occasions. Shame this experience was a let down.

    Had a great dining experience in ELY . We enjoyed calamari to start and then had delicious halibut that was served with scallops, prawns, mussels and capers. Great service as well.

    Thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience in Ely Maynooth. One member of our party is coeliac and a second member has an egg and nut allergy. Cannot compliment the staff enough on their awareness of these allergens, and the care taken in preparing their foods. Finding somewhere safe to dine out has been really difficult, so we are thrilled to have discovered this gem right on our doorstep. Highly recommend Ely Maynooth, and look forward to our return in the near future. Thank you Michelle and team.

    Thought the food we had was very nice but not enough accompaniments, hubby had scallops which were really good, a whole Sole for 2 which wasn’t that big served with chips!! There was just the decoration of spinach and some water prawns for €55. 2 glasses of wine and water €100…a bit pricey for what we ate!!

    Great food in a great place. Staff are fantastic and the food is excellent. Really speedy service too, which is always welcome if the table is needed back by a certain time. There is a decent change on the specials board, especially with the market fish. Calamari is fantastic as a sharers portion and a nice intro to a meal. Portion sizes are good and the emphasis is definitely on flavour instead of filling the plate, which I prefer, but not everyone does, so sides may be needed for some (truffle parmesan chips are excellent). And, as expected from a wine seller, the wine is fantastic. Repeat visitor, and will come back again.

    Staff were excellent . Friendly but without being over the top. Main of Guinea fowl, 3 way parsnips, mushrooms delicious. Pity they have discontinued serving non alcoholic wine - beer isn’t the same with such a menu.
