FIRE Restaurant and Lounge Ratings and Reviews
We went for my Girlfriends birthday. Had prawns and French onion soup for starters which were lovely. Both went for the run eye steak and both were amazing. Our waiter (forget his name but was Hungarian) was exceptionally friendly and really nice.
Overall we loved the place and would highly recommend it.
This high-end restaurant in Dublin came highly recommended by several people we asked at the hotel and even 2 taxi drivers. It was certainly the nicest place we dined in, and a unique historical building. Food was great.
Note, service was really poor. We had a reservation for 7 PM and finally were seated at 8:00. No apologies, no visit from a manager despite making the hostess staff aware of our frustrations. The waitress had been there 2 weeks, with limited knowledge of the menu or wine list. Overall, food was very good and reasonably priced, but not attentive service.
Great venue, service and food. It was my daughter's graduation and the staff were on the ball and had written 'congratulations' in chocolate on her desert plate, even though we hadn't said it was a graduation when booking. It made the experience more special.
Service in the downstairs lounge was very good but when we went upstairs the wait between starter and main course was very long (about 50 mins). It was only a table for 2 so not sure why it was so long. Starter was great (Prawns), Main was o.k. (Sirloin) and wine was just o.k. (New Zealand Sauvignon blanc). All in all it was just o.k. and I expected much better for the price.
Too many chiefs and not enough Indians!!!
Watched our drinks get watered down from
ice melt while waiting for them to be served.
Waited over an hour for our food while men and women in suits with secret service type ear pieces scampered about doing nothing but pretend to be stressed out.
Food was very good- serviced strongly lacked, however everyone we took the recommendation from had mentioned that it probably would.
I'm sorry, but high end restaurants need to be high in service to warrant to high price.
Very noisy so absoutely no athmospgere. . Service was indifferent. They were very busy. Food was good but not exceptional and quite expensive. Despite there being a set menu it was extra for vegetables.
Have not been before but would not go again. Perhaps this location is best for big groups but definitely not for couples.
Was a lovely night of our first wedding anniversary, the staff helped me with a surprise for my wife, they were all so friendly and warm, they knew the menu and made good recommendations to us, food was lovely good portions and tasty.... Thanks for the surprise on the dessert plate she felt like a queen thanks so much all you guys we will be there soon again
Always wanted to try this restaurant but never got round to it. Finally it got recommend on this App so I decided to give it a try and what a wonderful choice it turned out to be. We both enjoyed wonderful stakes followed by delicious desserts.
I will definitely come back here shortly with my wife. The ambience and decor are superb
The staff were fantastic here from the moment you get in the door. Nothing is too much to ask me anyone and I was very impressed with the level of service. We had the pre theatre menu which had a nice broad selection on it. I had the 8oz steak and my partner had the 10oz and he enjoyed his. I had a delicious coole swan cheesecake and he had the framboise. Both very tasty. Place is huge on the inside and think would be ideal for a group of girls or small work group. Staff have no problem taking photos for you.
Had a very enjoyable dinner here during a short city tour visit to Dublin. Large resto, essentially a steakhouse type menu but still some interesting dishes. My wife had oven-fired prawns - large helping of 4 big prwans cooked to perfection. Wine list not massive but decent range. Service very friendly, unpretentious as well as being attentive. Secifically asked not to be rushed and we weren't. Place can get a touch noisy when it's full but that's because everyone really enjoying themselves. Would definitely go back.
