Everything from start to finish was amazing. The food was excellent, great presentation and the staff were excellent also.
I had an early dinner booked for Saturday just gone and the place was very festive and I loved the downstairs bar. What I did not love was the treatment that one of the bar staff (he seemed like a senior member of bar staff) was giving to another member of staff at the bar. He was criticising how this person was doing his job and how he was making the drinks for every cocktail that he made. I am all for advice being a manager myself, but not in that way and in front of customers. The bar was really packed and it was noted as a few people made comments and the person taking the abuse seemed really unhappy. I was in the bar from 5pm - 5.45pm. When we got upstairs it was a lovely experience but I was a bit shocked by that behaviour, it just made anyone watching it very uncomfortable
Dinner was absolutely lovely and I love this restaurant.
Just lovely, bit on the pricey side, but excellent service, atmosphere and thoroughly enjoyed the food!
We are good customers of Fire Restaurant over the years . Our meal on Wednesday was very disappointing and bad value for money
You get a v strong on reception when you arrive (I think it smells like someone has been sick, I spotted the meat fridge ..?)
Lovely welcome, fab starter, menu is great but main course (turkey roulade was dry and the cabbage/sprouts) were over cooked
Service was slow, our lunch took two hours and then my guests jacket was misplaced
Not the usual standard I know you were busy with large groups but sometimes the small tables are your regulars!!
Everything was great except... it was FAR too noisy!
Just fab place and fab food, I had steak and prawns, but the menu is amazing
Based on our experience I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone for any occasion. I have already submitted a detailed review on TripAdvisor and to the management of Fire.
We had mediocre food , steak that was tasteless and all hot dishes were served on cold plates and were tepid.
My recommendation is that if you wish to spend that kind of money there is plenty of choice in this area.
Reception girls were very very helpful , made sure we were ok while we waited for our table and treated us like we were the most important customers in ten world.
Fantastic Food , Great wine list , great place to eat ....will deffo come back again.
Not our first visit to Fire, we love this place. Food is always excellent and the staff can’t do enough for you. Great children’s menu! Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone!!
Great location superb atmosphere food and wine delicious and wonderful service The bar was welcoming cosy with live music cant wait to return..
This is my second time visiting and it never dissapoints. Food is outstanding. And staff couldn't do enough for you. Love the atmosphere. Christmas decorations are fab.
Looking forward to going again for my birthday 15th December.
Service and staff were excellent. Very efficient and friendly. Manager visited our table to ensure we were happy with everything. Starters and dessert were lovely. Main course was a very small portion. Turkey was quite dry and no vegetables served with main ( so on large white plate was a table spoon of mash potato, and small piece of turkey wrapped in Parma ham, a drizzle of gravy and a half of a baby carrot). Thought a little pricey for set menu, with small portions
The Christmas set menu was decent value with a good selection. Turkey main was dry, Service was excellent. It is a very large room so sometimes the atmosphere can feel a bit flat, but the room is beautiful and looked great decorated for Xmas. I think suited to larger groups imho.
I recently had dinner with my family in Fire for a special occasion, a graduation. It was my parents' first time having dinner in Fire and my second. Overall, it was a fantastic experience with a lovely meal, great cocktails and lovely setting. However, in particular I can't praise the staff in Fire enough. They were incredibly accommodating and attentive, on a busy Friday during the Christmas period. They really made the occasion very special. In particular Jane was absolutely amazing. She was so welcoming and attentive throughout the night and really went above and beyond for us. Thank you for making the evening such a memorable one.
Excellent in every way.
I had such a fabulous evening. Everyone at fire was so friendly and professional.
The ladies on the desk were very welcoming and our waitress Andrea was great.
The rib eye steak was worth every bite. Fabulous food
I can’t wait to come back again soon
Significantly strong smell of lilies . Good cocktails at the bar .
Wonderful visit to Fire on a friend’s recommendation. Food, service and atmosphere were outstanding.
Reviews from our Staff dinner on Tuesday evening were all very good. Thank you.
Beautiful Food ,great service , great ambiance very buzzy will definitely be back superb 5 stars all round
Very enjoyable for a Sunday lunch. Quiet enough to have a conversation but not so quiet that you feel you have to whisper!
Beautiful but cavernous, high ceilinged building in central Dublin...noise level makes quiet conversation difficult. Menu with various house dry aged steak offerings well prepared. Lamb appetizer was wonderful,
shrimp appetizer was overcooked and over buttered. Service was outstanding and when I asked for a cocktail with which they were unfamiliar, all efforts were made to please. Overall a wonderful dining experience.
A thoroughly enjoyable experience - excellent service and good food.
We had dinner at FIRE Restaurant to celebrate my birthday last friday. We went there because of my outstanding experiences and dinners I had at that restaurant some time ago and flew in from Cologne for the weekend. Unfortunately it was disappointing this time.
The service friendly, but only average. The vegetarian starter - goat cheese - was the size slightly bigger than a 2euro coin. The steak was good, the vegetarian tortellini was ok, but only luke warm. The white wine was good, but far too warm. The noise level was very high.
Having the level of quality in mind FIRE claims to provide, it did not sum up in the end why I cannot recommend that restaurant to friends and I won't visit it again myself.
Was there’s for my sons graduation. Drink ordered at bar arrived after starters. Coffee arrived before dessert. Overall sense that staff were not prepared for volume. Disappointing experience.
So expensive for what we got... Beautiful room. Breads were good. No need for the pestos. Prawns were ok - not v flavoursome and swimming in oil. Salad was lacklustre. Staff were ok. Didn’t seem to be v organised/experienced. For example: someone cane with the card machine to take payment after we had paid.
Great menu options and good food
Good atmosphere in restaurant
Nice spacing between tables
The restaurant is in a gorgeous setting, the staff are wonderful but I didn't think the food was particularly good. The set Christmas menu is a bit pricey for the quality of the food.
But the ambience was great for groups.
We went for an occasion and enjoyed it. It was decorated for Christmas and this added a special feeling to the night.
Dinner in Fire is always a treat with great food, excellent service and overall a great experience.
We had a lovely Sunday Roast lunch at Fire, the portion size was generous and cooked to perfection! Would recommend for a special occasion.
We have visited Fire a number of times over the past couple of years and found the experience and atmosphere very good, however, was very disappointed last Sunday. The restaurant was cold, the service was patchy and food although ok was not brilliant. Overall not a great experience and something Fire should do something about as there a lot of very good equally high end alternatives available when dining in Dublin now.
The restaurant was freezing at 1330 on a Sunday. It’s a very big hall and with no heating turned on, guess what? It gets cold.
Starters had the air of being 99% prepared the night before and just touched up before serving.
The mains arrived and the mashed potatoes were cold (the table beside us were also heard complaining about the same issue). The shared rib of roast was also not on the right side of hot (and was a average piece of meat at best).
Staff were average - interested but hardly enthusiastic. The place caters for large groups akin to bus tours and hen groups.
We ditched the place half way through mains and went to The Ivy for dessert.
Avoid unless you can find nowhere else.
Really enjoyed my dining experience. The atmosphere was great and the food superb. Overall a fantastic evening.
I booked here for my sons 21st. There was 20 of us. When I got there they had 2 tables. If I had of known I would have booked somewhere else. I was disappointed. I asked I there was anyway we could join our guests but that wasn’t. An option. Food was nice and staff were too
Staff and decor outstanding. Great place to go as a treat.
Really nice restaurant, atmosphere was amazing food was great and the staff were friendly. Is very classy yet reasonably priced. Had to edit the booking of my table due to traffic and this was dealt with no hassle. Really can’t fault the place. Give it a try!!
For a high end steakhouse, the beef was just OK. The pacing was slow, and the 2 hour time limit is strictly enforced. Not my best experience in Dublin.
