Fogo de Chão is a leading Brazilian steakhouse, or churrascaria, which has specialized in fire-roasting high-quality meats since 1979 utilizing the centuries-old Southern Brazilian cooking technique of churrasco. Fogo offers guests a wide variety of simply seasoned meats, that are carefully fire-roasted to expose their natural flavors, including the house specialty picanha sirloin, filet mignon, ribeye, and lamb chops to name a few. Additionally, Fogo offers a gourmet Market Table & Feijoada Bar, which includes seasonal salads, soup, fresh vegetables, feijoada (traditional black bean stew with rice, fresh orange and yuca flour), and much more. Southern Brazilian side dishes such as pão de queijo (warm cheese bread), crispy hot polenta, and caramelized bananas are served family style. To further complement the dining experience, the restaurant offers an award-winning wine list, creative and classic cocktails, and a tempting dessert menu.

Good overall experience. A little disappointing that for $53 some kind of dessert is not included.

Salad bar selection was excellent! Meat was delicious and they came by frequently with various choices. A special place to celebrate a birthday. Everyone had a fabulous time! Will definitely go back again.

Great meat options. They have a pork rib with lome that takes me back to my vacations in Costa Rica. The tables are a bit close together, so ypu may want to ask for a window table.

Normally a neat, novel experience with good-to-great food, but my most recent experience was extremely disappointing. The filet mignon was not only overcooked, but downright rubbery. No one at my table could stomach eating it. We ended up tossing out a good 8-10 ounces of filet and feeling terrible about it, but it was inedible. Likewise, we paid $40 for a shrimp/lobster platter and it was all so rubbery (and tasteless) that we didn't eat half of it. Only gave us 1 helping of mashed potatoes for 4 people, and couldn't request more because our actual waiter only came around once -- almost an hour later. Extremely disappointing considering this was meant to be our Mother's Day gift to my mom. Overall a very bad experience from a usually reliable restaurant.

Fogo de Chao has outstanding steaks and appetizing Brazilian condiments including salads, cold cuts, and very hard to find, hearts of palms side dish. Unlike other "all you care to eat" churrascaria establishments who will try to fill you up with non-steak meats, Fogo de Chao's staff will point blank ask us specifically what type(s) of cut for the steak we would like to have then proceed to bring you that through out the evening. From our observations, Fogo de Chao management team has always stayed on top of service to meet customer's need. Mr. Felipe has always been very attentive to make sure that we have everything that we need. Thank you!

This is a typical Brazilian steakhouse, but the location is very modern/nice, quite upscale and large. The salad bar is outstanding and the roaming meat cuts are amazing, wonderful quality. If you enjoy quality meats (steak, pork, chicken) this is the place! ENJOY!!

My daughter and I love this place. My daughter is allergic to many things. The salad bar is very freshly prepared and has good selections of cheese, salmon, veggies, and sauces. She never had any allergic symptoms whenever she eats here. The meat is fresh and excellent as well.

We showed early for our reservation and were told we’d be called as soon as s table was ready. We were taken to our table and the waiter came quickly hook our order. Our service was fairly quick everything moved smoothly for it being Mother’s Day it was all good.

My waitress and another one seemed to be upset and everyone seemed to be catering to the larger tables and not giving us the service we paid for I had to track down my waitress several times then it seemed like I was bothering her.

To be honest, the day was suppose to be special for Mother’s Day, but the service really lacked. My mom waited over 30 minutes for her beverage. We didn’t get the complimentary bread or sides until halfway through our meal. The rotation of meats was very poor. We had to ask to get certain things brought to our table multiple times. Just kind of disappointed. Especially for the price of this establishment.

We had reservations for a specific time and still waited 10 minutes to be seated. When we were seated, I had no silverware or napkin and had to ask for them. The food was too salty.

We had a LOVELY early Mother's Day dinner at Fogo in Tyson's on Saturday evening. The food/meats were amazing and the salad bar wonderful. We only wished we had more room in our stomachs! Our waiter, Jimmy Romero was THE BEST! Very attentive even in a very full dining room, helpful and gracious, bringing us a complimentary dessert to share to celebrate Mother's Day. He is a gem and Fogo is lucky to have him. This was our first time at Fogo and our last experience at at Brazillian steakhouse was in Rio, where nothing can beat it. But, Fogo was a very fine 2nd. We will be back for sure!

This particular Fogo is a bit of a hidden gem when it comes to lunch, however our dinner there was borderline disaster. The well-dressed lunch crowd turns into a jean and short wearing buffet surfing dinner disaster. There was a corporate happy hour being held in the bar and part of the dining room which elevated the noise level to near-unbearable especially when one sprinkled in the occasional screaming child. Only go to Fogo if you want to eat from the food bar and get seven kinds of sirloin sliced on to your plate. My husband got the meat experience, which he said wasn’t bad, however finding rare or medium rare cuts took forever and variety was limited. I ordered the sea bass which was baked and then for some reason thrown into the fryer. It picked up every flavor of what had been previously in it. It was not good to be polite. Skip this venue for dinner, take them up on the $15 food bar weekday lunch.

I've been to the DC location several times but this was my first visit to the Tysons location. Tall windows and dramatic decor provide a feeling of openness. The food was good but with the exception of two meats, everything else came to the table medium although I expressed my preference for medium rare. Still tasty, but not at my preferred temperature. The cold food bar was bursting with a delicious array of vegetables, salads, cold meats and smoked salmon.
The service started out well, with the waiter asking if we were celebrating anything special. We told him we were celebrating my husband's birthday. (I also noted this on my Open Table reservation.) Most restaurants would provide a special dessert with candle to the birthday celebrant. The two tables next to us received this special treatment, so I expected our waiter (who served at least one of the two tables) would do the same. We were very disappointed not to receive anything. Two waiters kept asking if we were done when it was clear we had food in our plates and were still eating. I felt they were trying to rush us out. When clearing the dishes, the waiters dramatically pile lots of plates on a large tray. Our waiter splashed liquids on my mother and almost hit my son in the head with his tray. No apologies offered. For all these reasons, I rated the service poor. Very disappointing.

Everything was great as expected. My one issue is that the course that I paid for I was not offered the premium cut of meats that I ended up paying for. It was a party of six and although four patron opted for the discounted meal rate, myself and another customer paid full price. I do understand that is was a busy night and somethings may have been overlooked. However, I would have expected that the issue I explained above would not have happened and I probably would have given more stars for that reason. But I would patronize this restaurant again.

Our table was dirty, waiter was nowhere to be found $252 wasted...I could have taken that money to Chick-fil-a and gotten better service. Table was too dirty to even take pictures of what I ate but I guess the best part was my dessert which took 8 years to get that came with dirty spoons to eat it with.

Our party was still sitting, talking and considering eating a little more because it’s a buffet but one of the servers continuously pestered us and at one point brought us our check without us asking, we just felt as if we were being kicked out or rushed to leave. There were plenty of other tables that were still sitting relaxing and talking amongst themselves but for some reason they weren’t bother by any of the staff. On numerous occasions we had requested for side orders but no one seemed to care. Service was not great as you’d expect from a restaurant like this servers would walk by us with food and not even stop to asked if we were interested.

This is a wonderful place to meet friends. We were a group of 8. There was a big selection of foods to chose from. One of my favorites was the shrimp & lobster appetizer. For dessert, our group loved the papaya cream & for myself the flan. There was a very nice wine menu too. We're definitely going to go back.

I came to celebrate my recent job promotion. Ernesto and the staff took very good care of us. I’m especially a fan of the flank steak and top sirloin that they were serving. The filet was also good, it wasn’t very heavy in the rotation. The ribeye always came to us when it was well done, so I wasn’t too much of a fan.

Elegant atmosphere. Attentive service. The huge cold buffet with hot soup and hot bean/sausage stew is $15. Best value anywhere!!!! Food is excellent. Cold buffet includes lox, chicken salad, and other protein items. The vegetables are bountiful, beautiful and high end. The fruits are fresh and ripe. Polenta fries, mashed potatoes and cooked plantains are served family style at your table. The Brazilian Cheese Rolls are heavenly. They are similar to popovers and gluten free. You can add a meat to your meal for a reasonable additional cost.
