Nothing really special here by way of food . A bit disappointed as entrees from previous dining experience made me want to come back, but this trip...not so much. This restaurant may be best suited for a quick lunch at a fairly decent price.

This is my favorite FF location for "weekend brunch" but due to Covid 19 changes have made the experience less enjoyable.

Had a nice Saturday evening dinner outside at Founding Farmers-Tysons. The tables are spaced far apart. There is no roof and no heaters (at least yet) so it got breezy and a bit chilly but otherwise, everything was terrific.

Service on the slow side. Alcoholic drinks were small. Fried green tomatoes too breaded. My expensive halibut was over cooked. My friend said the beer can chicken wasn’t as good as elsewhere. Disappointed as I had heard good things about this restaurant.

Had to locate a table for us inside when going towards outside, feel we should have been asked our preference first.

Food was ok , but not extra ordinary

It had been several years since I had breakfast/brunch at Founding Farmers, and never at Tyson's location. I was surprised to learn the only option was a buffet. The food stations were short-handed and by the time I returned to the table with my food everything was cold. I ordered coffee, which was served lukewarm. Halfway through breakfast, a plate of 4-5 desserts was served. Since I don't eat dessert I asked if I could have a "to go" box. I was told that was not an option. I certainly understand having no" to go" boxes for a buffet, but after placing the desserts on the table, I knew they could not be re-served, so in lieu of preparing them "to go" the restaurant would prefer to pitch them. If you love high fat, high sugar food and lots of it, you will love this place. Just be prepared to eat it at room temperature. (1-Breakfast Buffet + 1-Coffee = $40.14) This will be my last visit to Founding Farmers.

I am super sorry for the many disappointments with your brunch visit this time. :( I feel terrible the food stations were shorthanded, the food cold and the coffee lukewarm. I also totally get your point about the boxes when dessert was served, and will pass this along to our Management Team for their immediate consideration. This all said, I would love the chance to turn around your choice to never return, and will be sending you a follow up msg with my email address to connect further. -Amy

Top offer was the stuffed dates wrapped in bacon appetizer which were great. Should be more than 5.

Ordered fish, market price. The halibut was $35 and small and over cooked. Yuck.
Wife’s tuna ahi poke bowl was great.
Services was terrible and slow.
Martini’s were $14 and made in a glass the size of a thimble

Beautiful, sweet soul server. Food was great per usual. Only thing I wish is the donut to be warmed up but other than that, it was a great experience for me and my homegirl.

Disappointing.
They added 4% to the check as a COVID tax - PPE is a cost of doing business. Also under the guise of helping unemployed staff. I don’t like being told how to contribute.
Now the food. My lamb chops were well overcooked. The menu stated 4 chop rack, I got theee, a double and a single. When the new plate arrives, it was cooked prior, but again, not a rack, but 2 double chops.
No one came back until I was done, no additional apologies, no concessions.
I won’t return to this location.
By the way, I manage a top rated restaurant in Bethesda Maryland.

Mediocre food and waiter. Filthy patio, food stains, food, trash, and flies! Inside was filthy too. Floors needed vacuuming and scrubbing. The whole place was not sanitized for covid protection and then they charge $.76 pandemic surcharge. North Dakota farmers would be ashamed of the place. And more upsetting, I had given my children a gift certificate of $100 for their anniversary which they haven’t used yet, and will have to disclose this dump. Someone is not being held accountable. Will not recommend to anyone for their health sake.

The risotto was very good and the prime rib had good flavor but the portion of the prime rib was paper thin. The serving at Jackson's is as good but more substantial in terms of portion. Service was generally good, but item was double charged, even though the manager indicated she would take it off the check. It took couple of tries and it was corrected.

We were not told this but due to Covid, maybe, we waited 55 mins before our food was delivered after sitting at our table. Our waitress looked harassed and we had requests for more drinks, water, etc that did not get fulfilled for up to 20 mins. The food was good but just that good, not great. The fried chicken and donut was dry and my wife had one serving of fried chicken that was more skin than chicken. I had the pork loin on cornbread stuffing. It was flavorful but the pork was overdone and there were no collard greens that I could see. We were really surprised. We want to give it the benefit of the doubt this time around.

Overall the experience was pleasant. It was our party’s first time at founding fathers and me and my wife were the pushing point on our visit due to the multiple good things we have heard regarding founding farmers as a restaurant. Things started off a little rocky at arrival, we had a 6:30 reservation for Today, Sunday 9/6 upon arrival they told us it would take a little longer then usual and I’m an understand gentleman and realize that due to Covid-19 everything has been tossed off its game so I was 100% fine with waiting a few minutes extra. Well then 15 minutes passed, then 30, then at about the 40 minute mark after visiting the host stand 3-4 different times I ask the gentleman about my reservation and he tells me they are wiping my table down now. I’m happy and pleased to finally get my table at this point, but that’s not what happened. 10 minutes go by so I proceed to go up to revisit the stand and ask for the update on my reservation that I had for 6:30 PM, mind you it’s now 7:20 PM at this time and there is now a woman who is behind the counter and she asks my name and everything and goes to look for my reservation ticket and can no longer find my ticket UNTIL she goes into her pocket and pulls out a CRUMPLED piece of paper that just so happened to be my exact reservation ticket. This woman looked like she could have been higher in management due to her style of outfit she was wearing and I’m just completely appalled at everything that happened. If you don’t have the ability to seat people then def don’t accept resverstions and at the same time I had asked about my reservation multiple times and then to find out that she had just taken the paper and balled it up into her pocket with 0 regards? It was ridiculous. The food was great, drinks were okay, but due to this I will never be revisiting your locations and will highly recommend the same to friends and family. Complete disregard of the customer is absurd.

The food was not the greatest but I enjoyed my time here. We had the buffet and the best thing was the ice cream for me. It was the seasonings that was in the food that I didn’t like. Service was great and it was a beautiful day outside so the outside seating was very nice. I would visit again, just will not choose the buffet this time.

The outdoor seating installed to comply with COVID is AMAZING. The service and food were great as always and the measures put in place for the Brunch Buffet were well done and didn't impede getting food at all. Highly recommended as always, and a comfortable spot even for anyone concerned with COVID measures in a restaurant setting currently.

Due to COVID-19 some of the changes made are not conducive to the Brunch experience. For example, there are still many options you can get from the kitchen that are not on the menu you are given or discussed by the waiter when you are first greeted. We looked at the online menu and were like can we get the eggs benedict, kale salad, etc. In addition, you are given a sampler dessert and not able to pick the desserts you actually want. I had a great time prior to the COVID-19 changes and will try them again once they go back to the original way of serving brunch.
