                                    This was our first time at Foxtrot. We were dining here for our anniversary after hearing great reviews. The service was top notch from the moment we arrived. We were seated quickly and given a great table looking out to the lighted horse display. The server did a great job of recommending beverages and meals and he was spot on. It was likely the best NY steak we’ve had at a restaurant and the “tater tots” (which my wife originally wanted to swap out for fries) were incredible. Over all it was a great night and we will be back frequently.

                                    Beautiful ambience. Excellent service. My friend quite enjoyed the duck. The Caesar salad was fresh and tasty. But my bison short rib was disappointing. Rib wasn’t very tender and the silver skin was thick and intact. The pea risotto was okay but the flavour profile wasn’t right for the rib. Whole thing was bland. Compared to our first visit a few months ago where everyone was so impressed with every single dish, this time was a letdown.

                                    The dining area was smoky from their open flame grill. My eyes watered through the entire lunch, my friend suggested that we sit in the lounge. Friend ordered fish and chips and the inside batter was not cooked; Foxtrot comp’d. I ordered the scallop salad and it was excellent. Scallops had an excellent smoke on them. Bellini presentation was excellent as was the taste. Service was excellent.

                                    This was our first time at Foxtrot. The venue is beautiful and the staff were very friendly and attentive and we appreciated hearing their recommendations. The food was very good. Our only disappointment was with the calamari appetizer which was extremely light on the calamari - very tasty but a very minimal portion. Fortunately, we also ordered the beef tartare which was a very good sized portion and plenty for the 3 of us to share. The discrepancy in the serving size almost makes me think that there was an error with the calamari. We had the duck and the bison short rib for mains which were delicious. Somewhat surprised that they were already out of their Daily Butcher's Block item, which on a Sunday is their prime rib, already at 6PM. Overall, very good food and a wonderful, lively atmosphere in a beautiful venue.
