FOOD: Do not order the BBQ Seafood for $65 - no value for this dish. This included half a moreton bay bug of the xsmall size, 1 x "King" Prawn of the medium size, 100g fillet of barramundi, 2 x pieces of scallop and some brocollini/mesculin salad. Very underwhelming main. SERVICE: It was a the end of Magic round game day and the kitchen waiter who brought out the food must have had a long day, without a word rearranged our drinks / plates and abruptly plonked our mains on the table. The table/floor waiters were much better though. MENU: Website made no mention that on Game day - Set menus are not available. Ordering a la carte was not as cost effective. (Probably trying to maximise revenue on game day) OVERALL: Would not recommend attending here for a pleasurable dining experience. There are better options if you are looking to spend ~$200 on dining.

Worst experience ever. Would normally eat at Moo Moo but due to floods they were not open. The only thing good to come out of our experience was the fact the manager waived the cost of dinner, but only after we complained. We will never go back. Very disappointed as it was for our anniversary.

The food was over priced and ordinary! We shared a hot and cold platter for $189 and it was most disappointing. The hot platter was dominated by mussels with only one large prawn each and the cooked fish was dry and tasteless. The most dominating feature about the cold platter was the ice, making the small amount of seafood around the edges look sparse!! We love our seafood and were so excited about going to such a well known restaurant but left out of pocket and disillusioned!

We enjoyed our meal at Gambaro's however were a little disappointed in the value for money for my husband's meal, the barbequed seafood dish. Mine was a generous serve for the seafood marinara however there was fair amount of fish in the dish and I found it difficult to find the other listed items. The barbequed seafood consisted of half Moreton Bay Bug, one large prawn, two crumbed scallops, a small palm sized piece of barramundi, some broccolini and lettuce leaves. I think it could be stepped up a little for the price that you pay. Our last visit was part of a group booking and I feel the serves were much more generous on this occasion. For $85 per head we received three very good sized courses. It is good for a larger group booking. The staff were very pleasant for our visit.

Gambaros is always a good experience. We went for mothers day with the family of 5. Fixed menu with plenty of choice. The service was very slow - about an hour from entrees to main, impacted im sure by general availability of staff. While there were apologies and a free round of drinks, it did detract from the experience.

Menu choice and wine list excellent. Waiter gave helpful suggestions. Presentation attractive. At times the Noise level was high and made it difficult to hear other people at the table. I would certainly recommend Gambaro’s for a high quality dining experience .

We went to Gambaros for our anniversary and whilst we had been many times for functions, we hadn’t been as a couple for a few years. It certainly lived up to its reputation, the staff were all amazing, food was great and good value and the wine list was also reasonably priced with well known labels and many favourites. We decided there were so many things we would order we did an impromptu degustation and the waiter loved the idea. We had prawn toast, coconut prawns, sashimi platter, oysters Kilpatrick, baked scallops, Singapore chilli bugs and finally a panna cotta desert. All shared so lots of tastes but not too much even though it sounds a lot. Brilliant. They do a great steak too if seafood isn’t your thing. We will definitely be going back.

Duped in by Facebook advertising of 50% off mud crab , so looking forward to it. The “deal” was only for Tuesday to Thursday and the associated online booking allowed a Saturday booking, also my birthday. Many other nearby patrons were similarly disappointed with the same issue. Meal otherwise was only ok, chips were awful. Cannot recommend unfortunately.

We had a brilliant time! The service was impeccable, we booked the 5.30 time slot, & were not disappointed! We were lucky to be sat away from most people, which was nice & quiet. The food was so incredibly fresh & full of flavour, the cold seafood platter was the perfect amount for us, we ordered some chips on the side as well. Dessert finished off the meal so well! The gentleman who was serving us, suggested the orange Broulee & it was 100% worth it. Great place for an anniversary or date night!

Waiters where lovely, the general manager seems a bit stuck up but maybe it was a busy day. Food was decent but he quantity for price was horrific. If you've got money to burn go to the place, if you value your money I would recommend other places, Even the crab special at half price would mean that you spend 100-200 dollars for a meal with the value be based of per gram including shell which seems a bit rich for my blood

Food was fair however not as tasty as other fresh seafood we have had. Nothing bad but not tasty for the price paid. We had the cold fresh seafood platter for two. Which was only just enough. The waiter even suggested chips as a side to fill us up. We felt very rushed. In and out within an hour. That included scallop entree, a seafood platter and a bottle of Verve. As mentioned it wasn’t bad but nothing to write home about
