    We had a big birthday celebration and the staff and management at the G made it a special occasion. The food was excellent from start to finish with our main course being the chateaubriand. Antonio our server even provided us a bottle of Tattinger champagne on the house. All of the staff very professional, courteous and tended to our every need. A proper 5 star experience

    Saturday evening casual dinner in elegant surrounds - service + cocktails + food menu options all excellent. Elegant venue, attentive staff. Food itself, starts very good - main courses of venison and sole roulade both well executed but one flaw easily rectified , well cooked but arrived not piping hot nor warm almost cold - on cold plates probably the cause. Would be back but would mention this at the time of ordering to avoid a repeat

    The service was outstanding, the staff are very attentive and helpful, can't fault them at all. The food was unfortunately a little disappointing, considering the price point and 5 star rating for the hotel. The starters weren't very nice, I got the goat cheese panna cotta which was completely flavourless, even the accompaniments were bland. Apart from the caramelised onion which was so bitter. My husbands terrine was really dry, he said it was like eating a tin of tuna. The main courses were cooked very well and presented very beautifully. They unfortunately lacked any kind of seasoning. After seasoning with salt myself, it was lovely. It seemed like an oversight. We had ordered a cocktail each and had high expectations for them as they cost €20 each but again, very disappointing. Definitely not worth the cost. The staff were very understanding and were incredibly accommodating. We might have just got unlucky that day. The food at the wedding we were attending there the next day was outstanding.

    Food was decent. Staff weren’t overly helpful or friendly. Our table seemed to have been forgotten about and didn’t get the same quality service as other tables.

    Food was OK. Dinner portions very small for the price. I had lamb and it was a little tough and portion was ridiculously small for the price of it. Ordered dessert and coffee together we got coffee and had to ask a second time for our desert.

    it is a pity that the aperitif was served to us at the same time as the meal. The meal was good and sufficient quantity. we were given the old dessert menu that no longer existed. For a gourmet restaurant, even paper tablecloths would be welcome

    Nice restaurant and good but limited card. Ordrers oyesters. God tast but first serving was dropped in my lap by clumsy vaiter. God and Quick response but not nice to sit wet while eating. Got 10% of the bill. Booked in advance for a late seating but got a table in a dark corner.

    Overall we had a fabulous time, the food was amazing and the staff fantastic. The only issue was the staff were a bit too efficient. We'll definitely be back.

    We had a fabulous dinner in GEO. It was hard to chose from the menu as all the options sounded so good. The fillet steak from the surf and turf dish was perfectly cooked, and the service was impeccable and friendly. I would highly recommend.

    My mum and I went for lunch at 1.30pm. Very little choice for my mum who is 80. She ended up getting a burger and chips, not what you would expect for a 5 star. She was disappointed as it was a birthday present for her. Music too loud, no need for a D. J at 1.30pm in the day.

    Nice food and great ambience and staff. Honestly would highly recommend for couples and special occasions. Only thing I would say is menu on open tables is not correct at all. Go on g hotel website for a more accurate menu list.

    Not great option for vegetarians. I'm sorry but grated beetroot for starters and charred cabbage for mains didn't get a lot of thought or immagination from the chef.

    Food was very well presented but underwhelming, regarding flavour, seasoning and temperature. Attention to detail is very important, there was a hair on my vegetables. I also booked this because it was a birthday celebration but we received a happy anniversary dessert. I would recommend it to a friend as we have very high expectations of restaurant dining, and I'm sure the average person would enjoy this restaurant.

    Overall very disappointing dining experience with zero ambience and service levels very poor for a so called 5-star hotel. Food was good however not value for money - ordered 2015 wine off menu and waiter arrived out with 2017 version- when I pointed out to him he said it was due to supply issues with no real apology. Temperature was very cold in dining room and bar so we did not stay for after drinks - the open plan dining area looks like a big standard cafe or breakfast room in a 3 star hotel - will not be recommending to friends.

I will be the first to admit to some training gaps which are the result of the industry moving at a pace with which we are only keeping up with.     If you are on a dinner inclusive package , then be careful a number of dishes have additional supplements which are not visible on the menu. I really think management should address this. We were charged an additional €27, €7 on a starter and €10 each on our main courses. The food is ‘fine dining’, I would feel overpriced for what is delivered. Wines also expensive, from €40 per bottle. Service was good, restaurant lacked ambience and it was too bright, they should dim the lights and turn down the background music.

    Only restaurant in Galway where we have found Chateaubriand on the menu. Great food great service the Maitre D was excellent.

    Booked for my birthday. Asked for a purple couch. Didn’t get the couch or a happy birthday. The new menu isn’t a good as the previous. The starters were dreadful. The main courses were nice. Had to wait over 1 hour in between starter and main. Also long waits for almost everything, including over 30 mins for a cocktail. The bread at the beginning of the meal was stale. Not up to standard. I used to love this restaurant but after last night I will not be returning.
