    Steak was lovely, tempura prawns and also desserts. Would highly recommend. We tried for a later table but it was booked out so went for 6; disappointing to see it wasn’t full later so they need to look at booking system.

    Service was very poor, waiting a long time to be served, nobody came to see if we required anything else, food was OK quality but very overpriced 39 euro for steak that was overcooked for 2 out 3 guests. No herbal teas available which you can get at most 3 star hotels.

    My issue is with Open Table - there was no record of our booking when we got to the venue. However the restaurant did give us a nice table, where we had a very nice meal and were allowed stay on and chat with no difficulty whatsoever. Most enjoyable.

    We really enjoyed our short stay in Glasson Lakehouse and enjoyed dining in Bonnie’s restaurant. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The only criticism I have is the volume level of music being played. If seated anywhere near a speaker it was very uncomfortable. It was just too loud. I heard a few other people making the same comment. It seemed particularly loud at breakfast which was not at all conducive to a relaxing meal. As I said we really enjoyed our time there and greatly appreciated being able to bring our dog with us to the hotel. The only part she wasn’t allowed in was the restaurant which we fully understand. We intend to return in the future. 😊🐶🐾😜

    We enjoyed the food but there were a few strange occurrences during our meal. Firstly we attempted to change our meal from 8 to 8:30 and were told it wasn’t possible as the restaurant was full. There was plenty of empty seats while we were eating so this should of been accommodated. We ordered a bottle of wine then were told 5 minutes later it was sold out. Then we selected another wine and again after 5 mins were told it was also sold out. We ordered another bottle but our starters arrived before the bottle of wine arrived. We then told our waiter to wait a few minutes until we call him to bring the mains, this didn’t happen and our mains arrived anyway. We also ordered a bottle of tap water and were given sparkling instead. No staff seemed to be talking to each other, the staff were young so not their fault but just badly run. Food and drink is VERY expensive (€13.50 for a tiny cocktail, probably 100ml) so if they want to charge that the service and experience should reflect it.

    Had a lovely meal in Bonnie’s. Service was excellent and friendly. Price wise it was expensive but food was fabulous and very well presented. Dessert menu could be better and coffee could have been hotter.

    Fabulous food , great service . Only thing we didn’t like was the sticky toffee pudding - it was neither sticky nor toffee - and that is a tiny complaint as we were a large group with a lot of food ! Everyone loved their food other than above . Service was really fantastic . We were pleasantly surprised by it all and we really had a great nite !

    Had the pleasure of staying in Glasson a Lakehouse and use of all the facilities. The hotel and surrounds are magnificent. Rooms, food, service exceptional. Would definitely recommend a stay.

    The food was delicious very tasty compliments to the chef. Lovely decor layout & views. Unfortunately service was slow lots of staff but no one following through with service. One table that was seated ahead of us had ate their starter & almost finished mains again our starters arrived 45mins after ordering. Chicken wings placed with no finger bowl had to try get attention to get a finger bowl attention to detail lacking for the rating of glason lakehouse/Bonnie's the experience was very basic expected more.

    I recently had lunch with my friend at Bonnies. The venue is stunning and the food and service on the day were to a high standard. However, I would have preferred if there was a little more choice on the menu.

    Great food. Hotel and restaurant are decorated to a high standard. The hotel grounds are kept really well, stunning views. Food was delicious. The only let down was the service. Each member of staff I encountered had a very ‘flat’ energy about them. We requested for the kids food to come out with our starters. It didn’t happen. Their food came out well after we had finished our starters. Our mains also took a ridiculously long time to arrive with two members of staff double checking what we had ordered. We were billed for an item that we didn’t order which was quickly removed once we notified the staff. The food itself was actually very good. Very tasty. I’ll definitely return, just hope the service is better next time.

    Service was really disappointing. one main came with starters, child food came in middle of waiting between starter & main & his cod was v poor, looked like it had been reheated, had to ask twice for our mains no update but finally arrived after at least an hour, sides never came after requesting again, prawn salad v poor & then sides were included on bill even though never received, was corrected at till and 10% discount applied for inconvenience. But overall we were so disappointed, had been there a few months previous & everything was excellent, brought my parents to celebrate Fathers Day yesterday but total different experience which as I have said was v disappointing. However we love the venue & ambience but staff really need training

    Food was nice but service was v slow. No kids menus given had to ask for them. Thought there would be option of Sunday roast as I’d seen menu online but we were only given one menu and no option of potatoes/veg just chips Although after we had ordered we seen some people with what looked like a roast dinner. We got a starter after 40 mins and kids dinners were not brought out at that time it was over an hour before we got main so kids were fed up. Husband ordered another coke during the main but it didn’t arrive until we finished desert! It didn’t look overly busy but staff weren’t attentive apart from one girl who was busy taking orders, checking people in and bringing them to tables. We had a long wait for the bill after we asked a girl for it still hadn’t cone and we could see her just cleaning tables. So we asked another lady and we got it then but we were there for almost 2 and half hours. Just felt it was a little disorganised and some staff were busying themselves with other things rather than being attentive to customers. It’s a pity as we gad an overnight stay there before and everything was lovely then. This dinner was for our wedding anniversary and I did specify a table with a view but we just got a regular one which is not that important but think customer care is quite important. I will still return as I know it may have just been an off day as I said previously we had a lovely stay there before .

    The staff really made our experience at Bonnie’s amazing! One man (I didn’t catch his name) made a really special effort for my boyfriend’s birthday and I couldn’t have been happier about it. The staff are really a credit to the restaurant and I would come again for this reason. The food was very nice, it was expensive but the portion sizes were great.
