I have been at Malahide on a number of occasions and the level of friendliness and excellent service is always there. I was greeted by the manager in a very friendly manner and she was able to accommodate my special requests upon my booking of the day before. I had a fantastic brunch experience at Gourmet Food Parlor! Booking was a breeze, and the view of the sea was simply beautiful. They offer ample parking space, which is a big plus. Moreover, the menu had plenty of delicious vegetarian and vegan options to choose from. Highly recommended!

I must have been to this restaurant around 10-15 times over the years to meet with friends and family and I would always book ahead because it was so busy each day of the week. The drop in attendance and not having to book a table over the last couple of months should have made me realise there must be new management or new cooks in the kitchen. The service has gone appalling. They seem to only hire very young women, who it may be there first job (which is fine), but please do teach new staff to not all stand in one corner and talk while your customers are needing items, drinks etc If I needed anything or my order was wrong I had to walk around to restaurant to find a server. I asked one girl for sauce on the side for my chips and by the time she got back it must have been over 10 minutes. The food was always something that would overcome any issue you may be having in there but now it’s just as bad as the service. I’ve been a customer for years and I’ve tried to say oh maybe just an off day or maybe they’ve changed ingredients etc but it’s consistent now each time I go that the service is bad and the food is awful (so much so I was getting sick the night I visited here). I cannot justify going to this restaurant again. Although a beautiful place it needs to return to what it once was or they will be taken over by a new chain in a short few years.

Busy, bustling noisy restaurant. Gorgeous views of the sea. Seated in a corner but still very noisy. Was there with elderly relatives so needed to speak up!Asked 3 times for water and then had to go get it ourselves. Again dessert ordered and forgotten. They did compensate us and gave us a dessert free of charge. Service from kitchen was quick. Was grand overall!

Very disappointing. We booked the last seating at 4:30 and felt like we were intruding. We were told when we arrived that the kitchen closed in 5 minutes. The music was switched off while we were there. The place was being swept up and shut for the evening around us as we tried to dine. The food wasn’t very exciting and clearly had been rushed too. Lesson learned. Only come here for breakfast.

Lovely venue, nice atmosphere and pleasant staff. However, would have like greater choice of pastries /muffins with coffee. Only 2 chocolate muffins left, a couple of croissants. This was at 10.30am. But overall, a nice place for coffee, breakfast /brunch.

Food was gorgeous but not perfect. Two poached eggs, one hard, one soft. Crispy onions in other dish were not crispy and no dipping sauce came with the dish (though was on the menu). Fries were fabulous. Server was very friendly but service was slow. Took probably 10 minutes for the drinks to arrive. Beautiful venue but so noisy. It's a building issue, so much glass and metal.

Staff seated us with a sea view which I requested on the online booking..this made it extra special..also brought home a takeaway which was nicely boxed. Lunch was lovely..had the Hake special on the lunch menu and good friendly staff and service. Thank you!

Appalling service. Wrong food came initially. Then at the end we weren’t shown the bill, just told the amount. Paid it and then saw from the receipt that we had paid someone else’s bill. This seemed to cause huge confusion to correct. No queueing system. We had to stand in a queue to pay along with people ordering take away coffees so it took an age. Will never revisit this branch of Gourmet food parlour. Seemed to be nobody on charge
