We visited yesterday and had a lovely family dinner. The wait staff were so attentive, the young lad serving was so friendly and welcoming and the manager on duty was so lovely. He was great with keeping an eye on drinks etc. The staff were quick with the food and drinks and came over a couple of times to see if we needed any more drinks etc. Lovely restaurant, the decor is fabulous as is the food. The chicken supreme is delicious and the burgers too. A fab time was had by all.

Ben is an asset, very friendly & even if he didn’t exactly know the description of the apple tart he was honest & gave recommendations of what he loves… Very nice guy… Put the water on the tables as soon as please we had to ask the manager again when we sat down after ordering it earlier… Great addition to village

Menu was far too small especially for mains. Ended up getting two starters and they were only okay. I think the menu needs an overhaul.

I had the Woodland Breakfast along with a Berry smoothie and it was delicious! So tasty and the staff were so friendly. Recommend a visit - 100%! Enjoy!

Food and setting fabulous. However, there appeared to be a mix up with bookings and we were asked to finish up just after mains were cleared (1 hour 15mins after we arrived - it seemed they thought we were there longer and we should move on!) It was an unpleasant experience and we only received an apology further to we ourselves seeking a reason why we were being moved after such a short period and prior to getting our coffee/dessert. Just didn’t feel right, such a pity, wouldn’t go back after this experience

Had a really lovely meal at Gourmet Food Parlour over the weekend - there were 6 of us and every one of us enjoyed each of our courses, couldn’t fault the food. The service was excellent, we had a lovely waiter and the manager was very attentive and friendly. Overall really enjoyed it, great food, nice atmosphere, very good value and lovely staff - will be back!

Very limited menu, 1 option for vegetarian, I cut of steak. Anytime more drinks were put in the tale empties were not removed, never during our meal were we asked by staff if anything was needed, nor how it was. Shame as the village needed another restaurant, decor was lovely.

Always look forward to our meals at GFP but was left a little disappointed as the food didn’t quiet hit the mark this time. The chips are not the normal GFP chips we all love and the burgers were dry with not much flavour. The ribeye was very fatty and not rendered well. Staff as always were lovely and very helpful.

Since opened the service has always been too slow, would always have try and get attention of staff to order etc. however the quality of food would keep me returning atleast monthly. The service has continued to be chaotic but now the quality of food is declining. Unfortunately my last couple of experiences have been so bad I doubt I will return. Which is a shame as the other GFP restaurants we go to have always been too quality , just Dunshaughlin is much handier for us. By way of example; Last visit we had to stand waiting 5 mins before anyone acknowledged. This happened everyone we saw arrived, one couple just walked out. After seating it took 10 mins before we could order , no one came To table we had to chase waiter . We ordered food and drink at the same time and the food was served before we got our drinks. He had to ask for drinks again.

The young waiter told us the special before we could even sit down - maybe they can just wait a bit for the clients to settle innat their table before explaining specials. Overall a lovely evening with great food and beautiful setting

Food was just ok. bland and a bit tasteless this is the 4th time here not as good as usual. Would be nice to see changes in menu too, the starters do not have a great selection

The decor is fab. I ordered Hake, always served with crispy skin and tender flesh. But the skin was crispy and the fish was over done and chewie. I ate it, the tomato and caper sauce was very tastie. I did say it to the lady who was serving us.

I was disappointed to learn that the only Gluten Free option for dessert was a Sorbet. To me, this does not shout 'treat' :( Being a Coeliac, I just love to have a proper dessert, like a carrot cake or pear and almond slice which always finishes off a good meal. I would not recommend to any of my Coeliac friends who love a good dessert.
