   Worth a visit to have the Idaho Nachos with Granite City sauce. Listed as an appetizer, but eats like a whole dinner!

    Our waitress was fantastic, very attentive, but not annoying. The food was delicious, and a decent amount for the price. I would say that there isn't a great variety of gluten free alcohol drinks, unless you pay for a mixed drink. They could carry couple of hard ciders for choice.

    We visited on a Friday night (December 23rd) with a group of co-workers and our spouses for an annual holiday meal. It was not busy due to the weather and there appeared to be plenty of staff for a Friday night! It had been a while since our last visit to this location and the familiar menu items were delicious! Our only complaint was the attentiveness of our wait staff. It wasn't TERRIBLE by any means but we sat for quite some times without any refills on our beverages several times throughout the meal and finally flagged down a manager to get her attention as she had disappeared. We were a party of 8 and could have easily spent another $100+ on beers and cocktails (and were prepared to do so as in years past) had we been given the opportunity. It was a missed opportunity for the restaurant AND wait staff to have a little extra tip money in her pocket!

    I only made reservations here for Thanksgiving because I had read reviews in past years that it was good. My food was anything but good. The rolls were HARD. The stuffing was COLD. The turkey was actually fine. The salmon was a bit OVERCOOKED but if you dug into the middle it was "okay" but not really very flavorable. The mashed potatoes had WAY TOO MUCH GARLIC in it. You could smell it as you stood at the buffet. The pumpkin pie was a nice size & I thought it was okay. My granddaughter said her first time at making pumpkin pie tasted better. I can't recall if the drinks were included or not...they didn't say & so I ordered water. The table lacked any kind of holiday decor. In fact, I didn't find the place to be very festive at all. It was okay but a little bit of a reminder of the holiday would have been nice. If there was anything, I didn't notice it. I won't return. I spent $130 there plus an additional tip for the person serving drinks. She never asked how the meal was at all.

    Food was awful. Like they opened some cans and bags. Not fresh or seasoned, pie was awful too. Granite City has good menu food but the holiday buffet was extremely disappointing. Server was prompt and friendly.

    We ate at Granite City for their Thanksgiving Buffet. We had reservations and we were seated upon arrival—no waiting. The staff was cheerful and attentive checking back with us regularly. The buffet had a great selection of food and all was fresh and delicious. We drove 5 hours to meet up with our son for dinner—no place to cook—and this was a great option.

    Thanksgiving buffet. I don’t expect white table cloth dining but I also don’t expect a table for two right next to the bathroom entrance and the buffet line! Between the table being in disrepair, people using the back of my wife’s chair as place to gain their balance, people filing by us, giving us about as much ambiance as two chickens in a crate and a server that was not to be seen except to bring one glass of tea each, and a slice of pie on a paper plate, it was our worst dining experience in many decades, if not ever! I guess I/We are suppose to accept this as the new post covid experience, but sorry to say this is totally unacceptable. I didn’t get into the food itself but overall it was not good. Mostly dry with a canned appeal. By the way, early upon being sat at the urinal /buffet line table, we politely asked the hostess if we may be seated elsewhere. We were informed no. It would require cancelling the reservation as the other tables were “reserved”. Several appeared open that could accommodate two, but we accepted the excuse. I believe this is why I will make the special request when I make future reservations. This is what you get when you don’t have an experience expectation. Anyway there was nothing special about this dining experience and we will not spend money at GC again. Share this with them if you choose so.

    Always good food and a comfortable place to dine. It was busier than usual so they had a hard time keeping the buffet full, but everything tasted great.

    The food was not hot and there was nothing spectacular about its taste either. However, the beef was delicious. We were served 2 cups of old coffee that were not hot and cost more than $5. Serving the pie on paper plates was tacky but both flavors were good.

    Two favorite menu items were unavailable so had to choose other options. Waitress was very nice but we had to ask for water refills and dishes to be cleared before dessert. We will come back though and hope these things are corrected next time. Thanks for the opportunity to give constructive feedback.

    We always enjoy Granite City. Great service and food. This visit was for the Sunday Brunch, it was our first time and will not be the last. Was very good. But do go early if you can. It is very popular and the place is hopping by 11:30 am. We make reservations when we go there.

    The prime rib was raw. Our waitress told us that many tables were complaining about the terrible prime rib. The staff was not ready to be open. We stood and waited for omelets as they were still setting up and trying to learn how to do so for at least 15 minutes. We have had the brunch multiple times before and enjoyed it. This time was terrible! I spent $100 for the three of us with tip and regret it. Not happy! My Son's 22nd B'day brunch sucked!

    If you have not been here in a while you should try it. The food was great and the service was excellent. We liked the Monday night $6 burger special. We also liked that it was not overly noisy to hold a conversation.

    We visited for the Sunday Brunch after church. We arrived 10 minutes ahead of our reservation time and were seated immediately. The caramel rolls were brought directly to our table and they were amazing. Plenty of fresh fruit, shrimp and breakfast and lunch items. They had an omlet station and tender prime rib, as well as Eggs Benedict made to order. Just a great experience and we will be back again soon.
