Visit Harvest for a long lunch on the cool verandah, sample the bespoke weekly changing Wild Harvest menu at night (which is created after a day foraging in the Hinterland) or enjoy a traditional country breakfast at the weekend.
Harvest has received multiple accolades over the years including a hat in the Good Food Guide 2019 and Best Small List (50 Wines) by Gourmet Traveller Wine 2018.
Fantastic food, great service. Lovely little side menu of foraged ingredients to peruse.
Recommend a pre meal cocktail at the bar before moving to the dining room to indulge in the meal for two with two sides accompanied by wine recommended by the wait team. Delicious.
Food was excellent and coffee was great as well. Staff were friendly and it was all in a beautiful setting- we went more than once in our week visiting the area. Would highly recommend it and hope to be back again.
Away on holiday
We went to Harvest over weekend for breakfast. Service started well but after our meals came the waitress went looking for salt and pepper but never returned, then had to ask another waitress re the side dish that was missing.
Overall food was good but not great
Fabulous dining experience! All ingredients on the dinner menu are sourced locally. The wait staff had a thorough knowledge of each dish. The 5 course menu was divine, a perfect balance of flavours. Would definitely recommend 'Harvest' to anyone who appreciates fine dining and food with a difference. Possibly suited more to an adults pallette just because of the complexity and use of the ingredients. Compliments to the chef!!
Forager's Wednesday night dinner was outstanding as was the service. A real delight and a great start to a short break!
Wonderful food. Creative use of native ingredients. Great setting and service.
Great food and friendly service. Also dog friendly!
Rustic charm and character, staff were so enthusiastic and attentive, ambience kicked off well with the lounge area and drinks before commencing to dining. Freshly foraged produce put together creatively and artistically!
Opted for the 5 course menu.. it is supposed to be the speciality dishes of the house. There was nothing special in any of the dishes.. -except for the tea actually - there was a lack of taste , even though you can tell the ingredients are really fresh.
also the loud large group table didn’t help and the fact that nobody cared when I practically left my desert untouched .
there are smalldetails that you can’t avoid paying attention to.. cutlery on the table without a place mat/ table cloth
Always reliably outstanding food and service. A Sunday lunch delight
Words cannot describe the very pretentious and under whelming food. At no point did the menu allude to the fact that the lamb main was actually a dry pulled lamb breaded pattie. That was the start and the rest did not improve.
This restaurant is something special. Fairy lights, a roaring fire, a closed in verandah in the Queenslander style—this is an impossibly romantic and rustic space. Great drinks list with innovative cocktails and some obscure but delicious wines on offer. The food was absolutely scrumptious. Mahi mahi crumpets with fresh horseradish, just divine and perfectly balanced. Sourdough from the 100 plus year old wood fired oven with freshly churned, local butter—yummy. We loved our time at Harvest.
A wonderful place for a special event as we were. We will certainly return when next in the area. Thank you.
Food was amazing! Outstanding staff!
We both tried new and wonderful foods and dared to experience something out of the ordinary. Thank you for sharing something special about everything endemic to the area.
We were very disappointed with the selection and quality of wines available. Three of our party were disappointed with the quality of the meals offered. Whilst kangaroo is expected to be a little tough, this was difficult to eat at all. The sardines were swamped in a jus that resulted in us losing the flavour of the fish.
However the Mushroom Ceviche and Grilled Barramundi were excellent meals and generous in portions.
Staff were very attentive and well informed of menu offerings
Harvest had been recommended to us as being a fantastic dining experience.
Coming from melbourne, we are used to great restaurants and so we were very much looking forward to this.
It was disappointing. Menu was limited, and sounded so much better than the result.
Nothing any of my friends could
The food was of a high quality but ( and we don’t mind paying top prices for a great experience) was uninspiring. The ‘crudités ‘ entree was no more than a platter of carrot, radish with a dressing.
Have been a diner at Harvest for 10 years. What has happened? Disappointed by automated booking system and felt stalked by the number of emails and several texts including one at 5am which woke us. Disappointed with the food - we have experienced far better before and with the service and presentation. We would most likely not go back and we took good friends which had never been and they said they would also not return. There was nothing memorable on the menu.
Amazing flavours and a cracking wine list
Food was delish, great wine pairings and staff were friendly and professional
We really enjoyed our breakfast. A small select menu with a good variety. We had hoped to dine here for dinner but unfortunately restaurant was booked out on line. Only negative with our experience was that we ordered a second round of coffee's (the coffee is fantastic) & it never arrived. Overall a lovely experience situated in a quaint little town.
Fabulous food ! Some places try too hard, Harvest gets it just right. The tomato salad is outstanding and not to be missed!
Interesting food, beautifully prepared and presented. Great attentive service in a lovely setting. Third visit over a number of years and will be back again.

Harvest is an amazing restaurant with a deli and bakery open now too to feed everyone wanting to try this amazing place. Gorgeous settings and views with food showcasing the fresh local produce and colours and flavours of the area. Cannot wait for my next visit.
The slow cooked lamb shoulder is a MUST!! Very Very Happy I got to experience this "talked about" cafe...CaNT WAIT FOR MY NEXT VISIT
Second time we have held a small family occasion here. Ideal for all age groups. Food is excellent and flexible for sharing, mix and match of meals
Service charming and setting even nicer at lunch - indoor/outdoor feel/ ambience and village location
It's always a pleasure to dine at Harvest
This was some of the most interesting food I have ever eaten, not to mention absolutely delicious.
Fantastic place that made our birthday weekend a smash hit! The staff are exceptional and it is easy to see why this establishment wins so many accolades! Thanks guys
Great showcase of local food!
We had a beautiful lunch at harvest. The ceviche was a highlight! The service was prompt and attentive, would highly recommend Harvest
We both had to ask 3 times for a top up of wine.
Food served without utensils.
No salt Pepper offered.
Potatoes rock hard
Overall disappointing as this is the third time we had been and first time below expectation.
The food was fantastic, BUT, portion sizes are very small - table of 5 and spent over $400 on lunch, and left hungry. I probably wouldn’t go back.
A nice special occasion dining experience food and service was good but make sure your credit card is clear
Service was slow and not well managed. Food was too fussy and not particularly tasty. The “keep it simple stupid” has not been understood here. Even a simple thing as a fresh salad lacked lift and the right seasoning. A disappointing experience.. Good wine list though..
Great opportunity to try some challenging and unique native Australian ingredients. Lovely outdoor seating with open kitchen. Friendly staff. Only negative would be portion sizes. We had the 7 course tasting menu and there was too much food. So much so that we couldn’t really enjoy the final 2 to 3 courses.
Beuatiful scenery, helpful waitstaff and the food was divine. So fresh and delicious and love that the salads and herbs were grown on-site.
Well & truely worth the short trip out of town. We visited last night. The food was exquisite and the service was outstanding. Incredible effort for the kitchen & the staff to learn new menus every week so that patrons can experience the freshest local produce. Can’t wait to get back!!!!
