Great place for dinner with my sisters and mom. The food was great and the atmosphere was perfect!
My fiancé and I went to Haven to celebrate our engagement. Our server was excellent! The food was amazing ! We will definitely be coming back to Haven whenever we are in the city.
Food was overpriced for basic dishes. Drinks were made we’ll but ultimately you’re paying for ambiance
The food was good that we ordered, just feel like the menu was limited. I believe the menu was bigger online when we looked at it. Also the hostess outfit was very inappropriate.
The Calamari tasted awful....Chewing it felt like chewing rubber. Our waiter was confused as to why we wanted to send it back to the kitchen and rolled his eyes at us. We received a second order and it was still over cooked and was impossible to chew or to even rip. Our service there was not worth the money and the view really wasn't what we expected. Save your money and go somewhere else.
Gorgeous food and bottomless brunch. Nice staff. Shame the views are ruined with scaffolding at the moment
Billed as rooftop restaurant. Only problem is you are only 9 floors up in the midst of high rise buildings so no real view. Food was only average. Unlimited mimosas tasted like Tang with no champagne ended up switching to a glass of champagne. Wanted to try something new but won’t be back.
This is a wonderful place for brunch, lunch or dinner. The atmosphere is wonderful and the service is incredible. My wife and I have been here 4 times and we have never been disappointed. The staff was particularly attentive to us this visit as we brought our 6 year old granddaughter with us, who is undergoing chemotherapy. The food is excellent but a little pricey. With that said, always well worth the price for us.
The food was easily the worst and overpriced I have ever had in NYC. The ambiance is nice but if you're looking for anything beyond an instagram picture, PASS!
It was a lovely experience. The only problem was it took over an hour for us to get our meals.
super accommodating with regards to the “grace period” they have!! great holiday setting to enjoy with family & friends, awesome drinks & good food! our servers changed shifts midway through our time there. the first waiter was super informative, hands on, friendly & had great recommendations with regards to their menu!! the second waitress came to the table once to only check on us & had us waiting a bit just to order another round of drinks & receive the check once finished. other than that, great spot & will be coming back again!!
The food was great and the ambiance was nicely decorated for the holidays. Our waitress was excellent. The only disappointing aspect of the night was the host who gave away our table, and openly spoke about it in front of us, for a later reservation. It was in the back of the restaurant rather than were we were sat right by the elevators.
We arrived at 4pm for a 4:30 reservation with the intent on possibly having to wait to be seated. We were told we could sit and have drinks but couldn't order until 4:30 because the kitchen was still setting up. Totally fine with all that. Our first waiter was awesome, very knowledgeable and funny. Brought drinks out quickly for four people. He asked at 4:12 if we wanted to order and we told him what we were told at the front desk. He said he would be back to take our order. After about 10 minutes he came back with another girl and said she would take our order once the clock strikes 4:30. At 4:45 we were still waiting for her to come to our table. Now, there were only two other tables seated and she was standing at the wait station with her back to us. At 5pm another waitress came over to see if we needed drinks and we asked to order. Our order was buffalo wings, focaccia pizza and calamari. The first girl comes back a couple minutes later to ask only one person at the table if he needed another drink when two of us also had empty glasses in front of us. He ordered and she was about to walk away and I called for her back to ask if I could order a drink as well. Our food was brought out and the calamari didn't come but instead nacho chips with guacamole came with the other two dishes we ordered. We waited for a replacement dish. At no point were side dish plates brought to us until we asked for them. To say the food was a disappointment would be an understatement. The wings were decent but the calamari was gummy and had no taste and the focaccia pizza was ordered with prosciutto on half and it was just piled on top without being cooked with the pizza. Three appetizers and three rounds of drinks for 4 people (and a shot ski!) cost $230 plus tip. We were planning on staying for a full dinner entree but after the service and food the four of us agreed to leave.
It is romantic, but pricey food, average taste, average drinks. Only 1 bathroom. Not too impressed.
Had a dinner reservation for 2. You go up the elevator to the hostess. Followed the hostess to the back, where she lead us to the stairs, hands us our menus and goes you will be seated downstairs. She said its only 1 floor down and the vibe is the same. Please hand your menus to the hostess. Doesn't walk us down.
1. it is not 1 floor down. you walk down at least 2 floors.
2. it is not the same vibe. it it setup as a lounge.
3. they set up 4 measly tables off to the side
4. our appetizers took at least 30-40 minutes to come out. the waiter apologized several times. Food wasn't spectacular by any means.
5. to exit you must go back up the stairs where there were plenty of tables free and available
This place is not worth it. Don't even waste your time.
Amazing butternut squash soup and kale salad and wonderful cab sauv. The servers were attentive and wonderful, without hovering.
So much fun
I took my husband here for his birthday, had no regrets. The staff was very friendly, the food was palatable and delicious. We had mad fun. Would definitely do it again.
Food was top notch
Service not good at all
Hard to get them to pick up the dirty plates before serving us again
Hostess and waitresses were a little dress not very good.
Great food and service, beautiful rooftop location in heart of NYC
Great ambience, service and food. Webster’s it’s quick drink or your end stop meal- check this out
I brought my mom here for brunch before the Rockettes. It was her second time in NYC, and we had a blast. The food was great, and the service was excellent. The waiter was very attentive (especially for the people who had the 1-hour bottomless mimosas). I thought the prices were in line with typical Times Square/NYC restaurants, but to someone from out of town, it may look overly expensive.
Beautiful holiday decorations . Food was very good and prices were reasonable .
Fun rooftop bar - great for pre or post show drink
The decorations were beautiful and service was great. Paying $18 for a small dish of pasta is outrageous but it comes with eating in Manhattan!
The food was good but the service wasn't. The waitress was not really nice.
Great view but so expensive!! very small proportion. the dishes are not exceptional. I do not think back.
We booked to experience a typical Thanksgiving Dinner and were extremely disappointed with the food and service.
Only one person managed to eat extremely sweet butter squash soup. One Turkey dinner had. a lump of grizzle in it causing the diner to wretch and choke. Finally dessert all 4 desserts 2 rice pudding and 2 crepe brûlée were also too sweet and could not be eaten
We were not offered an alternative to any uneaten course and asked for a refund they deducted one fee of 65 dollars we should have received a complete refund, in our opinion
The server was lovely, but the service was incredibly slow. The food was mediocre and nothing to get excited about. The drinks were delicious, but it took over 45 minutes to get a second round.
Went with my husband and our three older, under age children. This restaurant has a “club” vibe and my children had their hands stamped to show that they were under 21., which I thought was not necessary. Other than that, our appetizers and entrees were very good.
Took kids for their first trip to city.
Food was great and they especially loved the fondue dessert.
Service was excellent.
Love that the restaurant is just off Times Square so its a little quieter. Ambience was great especially coming into Holiday season.
This is a beautiful place with really terrific ambience and close to the action of Times Square. We went for early drinks and dessert. S’mores made at the table were super fun. We did feel a little bit rushed out by the servers even though the place wasn’t full. I took my two teenage daughters but we were there around 7:30 and gone before 9. Super cool place though!
I took my fiancé her for his birthday. I had a reservation and was seated right away. We ordered a pitcher of margarita appetizers and entrees, always amazing . The haven chicken is HEAVEN ... would be returning with friends
It was for an anniversary and even thought the employees were very nice but the actual waiter was very pushy in trying to get us to order food and get out ASAP. I called in earlier to let know about the special occasion but he was not notified about the event. GreAt place to go though
I would only recommend this restaurant to a friend for a drink on the rooftop. We ordered the calamari for an appetizer. It was bland and the marinara was like watered down tomato sauce; a jar of Prego would have been better. There was no seasoning on the calamari, either. I also ordered the crab cakes. They were nearly burnt and also very bland and dry. Avoid the coleslaw -- it has raisins and vinegar and nothing else as a "seasoning." The french fries were the best thing on my plate. I am from the Midwest, and I regularly find calamari, crab cakes, and other seafood of far better quality and taste than what I had at Haven. The atmosphere and view was very nice. Have a drink here, but go somewhere else for food. It was not worth a $96 tab.
This was a strange little place. It started off with a pretty energetic guy at the elevator telling me (and I’m dressed in a business suit) no backpacks allowed. Mind you it’s the size of a pocketbook and actually it’s use. So I yank out my wallet and go upstairs where the rooftop is nice but a bit strange in its decor right down to the macrame ceiling hangings.
Food was ok with again a strange and limited menu. Not exactly sure why I ordered the lobster roll but probably because the menu lacked a better alternative. Nothing evenly remotely passable on this — stale roll, overcooked lobster, under seasoned in a relatively small content to bun ratio. The surprise was the butternut squash soup with a beautiful presentation and garnished with a nice roasted pepita and chervil. Go figure! At one point they started with the dance music cranked up certainly another strange and incongruent choice.
Special reunion with a college friend
The service was great and food was delicious our server was very helpful and very attentive.
Great rooftop restaurant, excellent ambience, great service and we loved the food! Perfect place to go for before a Broadway show. Fun rooftop bar area too. Oh, and there was a wonderful DJ on a Sat. night. All enclosed with glass for the winter - ask for a table with a window view. We had a beautiful view which included a lighted church steeple. We will definitely go again, highly recommend!
We really enjoyed our dinner at Haven Rooftop. We started with chicken wings, then moved to a delicious squash soup, and then to Havenly chicken and sliders. Everything we ordered was good, and our waiter Steven was fabulous. A great place!
