The staff and food at Hawksmoor made myself and my family feel really welcome for Father’s Day. My girlfriend’s father kept asking about the no uniforms thing until I pointed out the mini aprons the staff had on. From there, we had roast beef dinner plus a variety of starters, cooked to perfection. Their wine expert picked the perfect red wine for my girlfriend and our two dads loved the low-alcoholic beer options. And for the end, the staff organised Father’s Day dessert ice cream. A perfect end to an amazing day. Thanks to the staff for all their efforts, my girlfriend and I love coming to Hawksmoor and each time is different but lovely.

The venue is absolutely stunning. Good atmosphere and quite buzzy. Nice wine and cocktail list. I can’t speak to the meat as I got fish but the chips were yum. Overall it was grand, very pricey and I wouldn’t rate the service, she didn’t want to be there. We left a pretty heft tip on top of an already expensive bill and not so much as a thank you, just typed in the extra amount and handed over the card machine. Not a nice way to end the meal tbh. Overall it was enjoyable but probably wouldn’t go back.

Interior design, spacious environment, super excellent and attentive service, sommelier very welcoming. And we came for the meat. No disappointments here, excellent cuisson, super excellent anchovies hollandaise sauce enhancing umami. We’ll be back, sometime.

Food was okay Very salty Staff were too overbearing Took the drink as soon as I had my last sip Created anxiety at the table and there was no room for relaxation We felt like we were being pushed out of the restaurant even though our table wasn’t ready when we came in The guests at my table also mentioned that it was my birthday and the waiters put a candle in my dessert - which they then charged us for and on the receipt it was described as a “charity dessert” We were charged 50c for a candle that we did not ask for - so strange

I had a booking in Hawksmoor Dublin yesterday, there were 6 in the party. On arrival at 1 we were shown to our table. The dining area is beautiful with lots of glass and beautiful old wood. We chose the budget lunch menu. I can only speak for myself but my friends would have similar stories. I chose 3 courses. I ordered the pecan and blue cheese starter. What arrived was 5 large red strong lettuce Leaves with 6 pecan nuts and I couldn't see any cheese I thought I had got the wrong course so I asked the waiter who pointed out the tiniest crumble of cheese. My main was fish. When I enquired what came with it she embarrassingly said nothing really only a small garnish of peppers. I ordered a poriion of chips. 8 chips for 7 euro. When my fish arrived it was inebible as it was cold as was my friends. We sent it back and it was replaced. The waiter agreed it was too cold to eat. I chose pavlova for dessert. The meringue was so thin when a spoon touched it, it collapsed on to a small amount of fruit. Very poor dish. I ordered Americano coffee. It was stone cold but at that stage I didn't complain. We were allowed our desert off the bill for the cold fish but in no way would it make up for the disastrous meal There was an air of disarray about the service. I think we were served by 7 different people, all dressed in different and really casual attire I would never eat there again and would certainly not recommend it to anybody. Can't see how it will continue in business.
