    My favorite dish of the year may have just been had. Follow @denjeneats for more great eats. I know it’s a bold statement, that I don’t say lightly. But, I take my food and dining seriously and I stand behind it. We recently dined at Hickory & Ash. We have been many times, but it had been a little while. I’m so glad we got the chance to go back. Everything was perfect, from the atmosphere, to service, to the delicious dishes. My husband loved his pork chop. It was highly recommended by our server (Hey Kyle 👋🏻), and it was delish. However, the lamb shank will be a dish I will be thinking about for a long time!! It was incredible. ✨ Housemade bread with herbed butter (no charge) ✨ P.E.I Mussels - cioppino broth, shishitos. ✨ Bourbon & Coke Pork Chop - sweet potato, pecan, celery root, and Gouda. ✨ Colorado Lamb Shank - farrotto, feta, snap peas, and pepper jam. The farotto blew my mind. The lamb fell off the bone. I could go on for days. 🔥 ✨ Cocktails, local craft beer, and a great wine list. If you love a casual, yet elevated spot, make the trip to Hickory & Ash. It’s really great. Thank you to @theelmwoodapartments for the gift card.             The new fall menu is delicious. Our server, Laura, was very knowledgeable about the new menu and very helpful describing the new cocktails of the season. She was an excellent server.

            Our favorite restaurant in the Denver area! We had a ribeye, hangar steak and the salmon. The salmon was the best salmon dinner I have ever had! The outside was slightly crispy and the inside medium rare, perfect! The vegetables with the salmon are even better. A taste explosion! Great service and everything!

            We went here for our Anniversary in March and found everything to be AMAZING. Took my parents back last night, the service was great but 2 of the 4 steaks we got were WAY WAY over cooked and 1 was overcooked. Made me sad because we talked it up so much and were so excited to treat my parents. We should have spoken up and that's on us, but we aren't the kind of people who do that. Feeling disappointed, especially for the price. Hoping it was just an off night.

            Great time and excellent food. Was just loud enough to not hear others conversations while still having a normal volume in my own conversations. Great drinks and fantastic service. 9/10. Will do again.

            This is our second visit to Hickory and Ash, and it was a good this time as the first. We go for the celebrations of anniversary or birthdays. Steaks were top notch and sides are also very good. Recommend for special occasions.
