We dined at Hide Above. We had Chef’s tasting menu, which changes seasonally. The food was really good. Definitely a Michelin Star experience! Service was great too. I really liked Nest egg ( signature dish), Glazed Veal sweatbread dish, Strawberry & beech leaf salad - a desert, that was not too sweet, it had strawberries and cream with seven different green leafs, each leaf added a different flavor. I also enjoyed the 1st course- fresh seasonal veggies with a dip, little soup and small cured meats on an a bone and a feather - fun presentation. Definitely worth the visit!
Taster menu was delicious, great views from Hide Above, nice and cosy below.
Initially we were given a table at the back ( no view ) and by the waiters's service station and we told them that we wanted a different table ( it was a 1830 hr booking ) . They then offered another table even further back but we said no again. They then offered us a top table at the front ( facing Green Park ) and we appreciated that very much.
The staff and service was excellent and informative...The food was as expected in a Michelin star restaurant, Excellent.
Fantastic food and fantastic service how a restaurant should be
Food and staff were particularly excellent. Different and interior felt crafted.
noise level a bit high for a high end restaurant, service overall excellent but can be a bit too many people coming to your table, can try to see if can arrange ‘dedicated’ waiters for a table.
food quality and creativity overall excellent but the addition of asian/japanese flare like the salmon sushi, tofu with morels, dessert would be less appealing to asian visitors
What can I say, food, staff, and Atmosphere
All great 👍 Cost Mmmmmmmm 😂
Everything was okay, the food was delicious and the wine was exceptional but what strikes me a lot was the level of service we had: the staff was extremely nice but 'too servicy' (if I can say so): we were interrupted in the middle of our discussion at least three times: with questions whether we would like to order something else. On the contrary, after the dinner we had to ask the bill twice; since after the first time no one brought us the cheque. I don't want to treat this as a hockey service, though. But...
Absolutely amazing! Every dish was incredible and the wine pairings are a must. The customer experience was perfect -the staff were so thoughtful and found ways to go above and beyond throughout our meal. I couldn’t recommend Hide more highly!
Pefrect. Must visit
Perfect food and service
Beautiful food but just a few things to make it outstanding. Don’t serve chipped china and don’t serve white wine warm.
The food was not great, and service poor.
Tried to combine to many flavours without success.
Everything was super great but bit disappointed by the main course from set lunch menu. Chicken was bit dry and flavorless, wasn’t sure it meant for soup or something else because chicken was floating on so much sauce..
nevertheless it’s a great place for ambience and super service!!
One of my favorite restaurant
Food was good except beef tartar , we had bad stomach experiences after that, unfortunately .(( Service was outstanding , managing was perfect..
High cuisine, excellent service, culinary delight! Thanks to all the staff of the restaurant for the pleasure.
This place is fantastic. Food is top drawer, and added fun bonus is you can pickup wine nearby at Hedonism and they'll motor it over straight away. £40 per bottle corkage.
Top tip is to ensure you get a table with a view; makes a big difference.
Only downside was our sommelier suggested we could swap out one of our chosen bottles for his recommendation - with the implication being it would go back to Hedonism wines and we'd get a credit. Instead we ended up with an additional bottle of wine. Possible it was crossed wires but our table all agreed it felt a little disingenuous.
Seven amazing courses, wonderful Service, Wine list and cocktails out of this world - definitely a memorable experience. Would go back again.
Fabulous and interesting dishes beautifully prepared, and the wine we had previously bought and enjoyed from Hedonism (their excellent wine/spirits outlet nearby) was ready and waiting.
It is overpriced and formulaic. This was my second meal and I was disappointed how similar it was. Also £170 per head with house wine was over priced.
This high-end, three Michelin star restaurant is not for the budget-constrained, but it provides a remarkable and innovative dining experience. The tasting menu is innovative without being silly, designed for the palate rather than simply to startle and shock. I opted for the least expensive of the paired wines and found them eye opening and remarkable. Service was elegant without being at all intrusive. My only criticism is that the apertif Champagne selection did not include a blanc de blanc, although the Krug we had was very good (and bracingly priced). I would like to try the a la carte menu at Hide Below, and would return here for a special occasion. Trishna is still my favorite London restaurant, but these guys deserve to be in the rotation. Молодец!
beautiful restaurant, me and my husband celebrated our registration with 2 friends here. very warm services.
The set lunch menu at Hide was fantastic! It was fresh, delicious and a great value. We also had several of the fresh juices in lieu of wine and they were also great. I would highly recommend that anyone pay them a visit.
It was a great experience from the service to the food - every little thing counts!
Really nice and cozy environment and professional service!!! Definitely recommend this restaurant to my friends who are going to travel to London.
The wine recommendations and explanations of the food was fantastic. I thoroughly enjoyed the food and experience and would absolutely love to visit again for another meal.
Long wait. Pretentious untasty food. Not worth the penny they ask for a tasting menu (115pound pp)
Stunning venue with views across Green Park and good service, but the food was only ok for the price. We opted for the tasting menu and having done quite a lot of tasting menus, we were somewhat disappointed - peeled raw vegetables with a dipping sauce followed by two small raw onions in some green pine water don't really constitute as starters. The fish and meat courses were excellent, but then let down again by only ok deserts.
First time and very impressed with location, food, service.
It will be my favourite for some time I am sure.
We had an incredible lunch! Surrounded by beautiful & considered decor, we loved our delicious tasting menu dishes and had such a lovely time thanks so the wonderful service. In particular, our sommelier Mohammed was just fantastic - he was so kind, attentive and knowledgeable. I’d definitely recommend Hide Above.
Fantastic experience and would highly recommend to anyone visiting London.
Very nice meal, although big claims made about the wines available and yet 4 of my requested bottles were not!
Superbly accomplished cooking and great wine list - expensive but this restaurant is in one of the world's most expensive areas in terms of property so what else can you expect...
More Modern Portuguese (except cheese course ??) than I was expecting. Outstanding presentation of the food all the way through the meal. Everything we tried in set lunch was delicious.
Sumptuous tasting menu and impeccable service in a great location. Not usual for a restaurant review but those stairs!
Lunchtime menu - delicious!!!
Delay in drinks ordering meant starter of the meal arrived before drinks but can not fault the food 😄
Competent, knowledgeable and friendly staff. Beautiful setting with a relax ambience. Food was wonderfully presented and tasted delicious. Only negative was the air con was a touch cold. We were allowed a brief visit onto the kitchen which was a lovely personable touch. Would visit again for certain and would recommend with ease and confidence.
Exceptional all around. Ambiance, design, food, wines and service!
