   There were 4 delicious courses. A Platter to start with delicious tapenades and warm fresh bread. Then soup, the mains which was chicken in a sauce with dauphinoise potatoes and pannacotta to finish. Excellent value for money. The wines were delicious and low priced too. I would recommend this place 100% and will definitely be back very soon

   Absolutely perfect from start to finish. Great hosts, music, decor and the food was delicious and reasonably priced considering the quality. I will definitely be returning again and we didn’t want to leave after our 3 hour relaxed dining experience. Thank you for a classy Valentine’s Day treat.

   Amazing place, gorgeous food and lovely friendly hosts. I would definitely recommend to anyone who want’s wonderful food (great portion sizes), a relaxed atmosphere and attentive hosts.    This place is no Hide Away, this is a hidden gem! The best seasonal ingredients put together with knowledge, passion and love, all served personally and professionally in a very friendly and comfortable atmosphere. The best restaurant experience we've had for years, and with it being so affordable we'll be returning for many years. I wish every high street had a Hide Away! 10/10

    This was our first visit to the Hide Away following a friend's recommendation. The format; arrive before 7:30, your table is your's for the evening, the courses are unknown until served, there is an Italian-bias but the availability of the freshest ingredients are the determining factor - these are factors that we were comfortable with. The decor is very clean and relaxed and the service was excellent. Four courses were served, cold meats with paté, salad and fresh bread, then spicy tomato soup with chorizo, the main course was slow-cooked beef with truffle potatoes, cauliflower, broccoli and red wine gravy, and the desert was home-made tiramisu. All of the food was freshly prepared and expertly cooked and presented. Because all diners are served together it gives the evening a very relaxed rhythm. There is nothing rushed. If you like most foods and appreciate good ingredients, prepared and cooked by a talented chef then you will thoroughly enjoy a visit to the Hide Away.

    I had been wanting try this place for a while after reading the rave reviews. It did not disappoint. We had an absolutely wonderful family meal. The concept of the restaurant is a set menu which may not suit all but what I can say is that the food was both wonderful and plentiful. The excellent hosts attended to our every need. It is a must go to place in Bury in and amongst the more 'corporate' offerings elsewhere.

    Buonissimo!! Having toured the Italian countryside in previous years and enjoying the traditional rustic food I was excited to find out that my partner had booked us into the Hide Away for one of their surprise menu evenings! I found the anticipation of what was going to be served quite thrilling and nerve wracking at the same time! Having said that my nerves were settled as soon as the first course arrived and the same can be said for every course! Our hosts Lu and Farhad were a delight and we enjoyed spending time talking about food, drink and ourselves long after the meal had finished. By the end of the evening we felt like we’d known them for ages! Will I be going again? Yes! Will I recommend to friends? Yes! My only disappointment on the night was the dessert! Whilst the desserts we had were amazing, I’d been looking forward to a traditional Tiramisu or Cheese cake.

    We have an amazing dinner at the hideaway. We had a very warm welcome from front of house. We were helped with our wine choice to complement the food we were eating. The menu was very authentic and served in an authentic way. The food was really good, packed full of flavours. We will definitely be back soon

    I do hesitate to have a non-positive review as it might impact negatively the business. Attended for dinner on Wednesday. The food wasn’t nothing spectacular, I realized I can go to M&S and gather the same prepared food and just present it in a fancy way. The charcuterie and cheese was ok, the prawn cocktail tasted not like the least expensive PC at M&S (not the premium one) The lentil soup and beans was salty (normally I don’t complain about it as I like salty food) The “grasfed” chicken and vegetables were just roasted chicken and vegetables, nothing remarkable or extra. Cheese cake, tasted like any other cheese cake you can buy at Tesco. Two set menus and a bottle of Prosecco (they knocked off the coffees from the price due to a small mishap with the bottle of Prosecco) set us back £80, (the food menu is £30 per person) Overal, not impressed. For that money you can have something better at many other restaurants near by, flavorful, different and even fancy. The part that bothers me the most is that pretends to be a foodie experience when is clearly not. Now you know and can make an informed decision.

Nothing we present could be described as ‘fancy’ - our ethos is traditional rustic Italian dishes cooked from fresh with quality ingredients. We don’t serve ‘Grass-fed’ chicken - it was organic ‘corn-fed’ chicken, the 'cheesecake' was authentic Tiramisu We are sorry you didn’t enjoy your food or the experience - we'd be delighted to welcome you back any time.     The best meal we've had in a very long time. We loved not knowing what was on the menu, and every one of the four courses were incredibly delicious! Drinks too were reasonably priced. The table is yours for the night, so no rushing. Such a lovely atmosphere. Both the chef, Lu, and Farhad front of house provided such a wonderful evening. A lovely touch when Lu visited each table near the end of the night to check everyone was happy with food. We had a absolute 5 star evening with 5 star food and service. We will 100% be visiting again very soon!

    It is a set menu and we arrived at 7 pm and first course came around 50 mins later so make sure you order plenty of drinks at the beginning. All courses were fabulous and tasty - I felt full for two days! It’s an authentic old style restaurant and the evening is meant to be very chilled and laid back with big breaks between courses, which we loved. Allow three hours for the whole event.

    Amazing food and really friendly hosts - second time visiting and won’t be the last. The restaurant has no menu so everyone eats the same (veggie/allergy dependent obviously) which means you get to try things you possibly might not normally order and I’ve not yet come across anything I didn’t like

    Visited with friends over the Christmas break for the first time and was extremely happy with the quality and cost of the food served. Absolutely delighted with the four courses for £25/person. Lu and Fred are doing a super job and I would encourage more people to support this local gem! We will be back soon... :)
