Hochi Mama was the God Mother of all aspiring street artists and rappers in the early nineties. An immigrant in the big city, she hosted underground art shows along with rap battles for the rejects; a place where you could just be at home, but with family. The whole crew was always welcome, the more the merrier, and she was well renowned for creating innovative dishes using the original famous dishes from her home country, and plenty of booze, in her spacious and homey warehouse.

In this banquet, you will indulge in betel leaf bites, rice paper rolls, green tea tofu bao, D.I.Y vegan duck wraps, tradition al Chinese broccoli, southside curry, cashew stir fry, mango sticky rice, gaytime bao and sweet & sour vegan duck.     This is a brilliant restaurant. We went there before seeing Harry Potter at the Princess Theatre. Exceptional food and value for money. Service was prompt and friendly. Great ambience. My 14 year old daughter and I loved it. Will definitely go back

    Everything was great. Good was amazing. Great quality for money. We (me and my partner) shared two entrees, one main and one dessert. The servings were perfect and very reasonably priced. Can’t wait to go back :)

    Super delicious meal, great service and flaming good cocktails. The wait staff are brilliant, friendly and offer good advice on good selections. We had a table outside but it got a little cool so we took a seat at the bar and ate. Bar staff friendly and we had a little chat nothing over the top but informative of what was in the drinks. Great place, definitely will return.

    Great place! Their chicken Boa was amazing as well as their salmon sashimi. I had their chicken cashew stir fry which I wasn’t expecting it to taste like general tsao in the US. But this was way too sweet. My husband had the lamb curry and he enjoyed it. Not a lot of lamb given but it was very tasty. If you’re diabetic or pre diabetic and watching your sugars like I am, you may not want to come here. Otherwise good value for your money.

    Arrived late due to PTV issues so called up and staff were super nice and accommodating! It was hard to call for a server because they were dashing everywhere, but had an amazing, kind and energetic girl take our order, she asked for spice level which I think was really good because I cannot cope with spice AT ALL!! The Food came out fast but was kind of dumped on the table because the servers were so busy! But the food was really tasty and I kept wanting more! Which I think is a good sign. I had a cocktail called lycheezy it was yummy to begin with but got sickly too sweet and I couldn’t finish it. On the other hand my mum had a Prosecco and loved it and kept getting more! Because we came late we did feel a little rushed because of the table being needed later on, but I am not putting that in the staff because it was our fault! Myself and my mum ordered just a few small dishes to share and I highly recommend the prawn fried dumplings (got another plate because it was that good!), prawn betel leaves and the Vietnamese slaw!! They were phenomenal!!!! We also got the scallops which I loved! But mum thought the sauce overpowered the scallop and also the hochi chicken bao this was probably our least favourite, it tasted great but was a little too spicy for me and mum didn’t like it at all amd didn’t finish it because it was a bit too heavy and thought it was a little basic which I agree but still tasted great! Mum thought the atmosphere was a little loud for her and wouldn’t suggest having a large group get together because you wouldn’t here anyone, but the volume was energetic and lively which is a good sign of a busy and successful business where people are enjoying themselves!!! Overall highly recommend!

    Great delicious tasting food, great atmosphere and price is very reasonable for the quality. Only suggestion would be to add more seasoning to the Salt n Pepper fried tofu dish as it was quite bland. Other dishes we had were delicious.
