Family-owned Italian restaurant in Newport Beach that feels like you stumbled into someone’s home kitchen. 🇮🇹 📍 il Barone Ristorante 6700 West Coast Highway Newport Beach, California Owned by Donatella, with her husband as the chef 👨🍳, everything is made in-house, including the breads and fresh pasta (they even supply pasta to other restaurants!!). What we ordered: • Gnocchi ripieni di formaggi • Lasagna • Radiatori al funghi e salsiccia • Pepperoni pizza • Facci ri Veccia (il Barone specialty) If you love cheesy, rich, classic yet subtly unique dishes, the Facci ri Veccia is a must. That was my standout. Also: Wine Wednesday… 👀🍷 just saying. This is one of those classic, family-run spots that’s been holding it down while everything around it changes. #italian #orangecounty #newport #newportbeach #orangecountyca
