   Excellent addition to Chorlton's dining options! Fabulous food, attentive knowledgeable and friendly host. Food was beautiful, strikingly different from the normal "curry-house" fare. Try the stuffed potato starter and the Lamb Rara main both of which I had.... Epic! Recommended and we will be back! ❤️

   I booked a table for dinner for my friend and I after reading fabulous reviews for The Indian Affair. My friend and I are fans of Indian cuisine so decided to give the place a try. We opted for the small plates ordering 6 plates and some Garlic Naan to share. Our Server was pleasant as was the ambiance. We visited on a Wednesday evening so the restaurant was quiet. I was quite underwhelmed by the food as had high expectations following the reviews I’d read including the review on Manchester Finest. Our lamb chops were over cooked and burned which was a shame as the flavours were good. The Bao Buns we didn’t enjoy but tried them at the recommendation of our Server. Our favourite plate was the King Prawns. We paid £70 which I felt was a little much for the portion sizes (neither of us drank alcohol).

    Great waiter service from the Scottish waiter. Friendly and welcoming. Lovely venue but distracting background music. Food wonderful but very small portions: far smaller than the restaurant next door. Would come again but buy lots of starters!

    Always have a fantastic time when we visit Indian Affair. The staff are friendly and attentive. The owner is always welcoming. The atmosphere is relaxed but not boring and the food is consistently of a high quality. The stand out dishes for us this time were the palak chaat, the aloo tikki and the daal makhani (which I could eat every day and never get tired of!). Really fantastic.

    Our second time visiting Indian Affair and each time, the food was superb. Highly recommend the Butter chicken which melts in the mouth and the Makhani chips. The garlic naan is very good, fresh and fluffy. We had the chutney selection with poppadom to keep us going before the food arrived. The chutneys were really good and full of flavour. The owner and staff are really welcoming and friendly. The decor is stylish and seats are comfortable. If I was to be picky, just 2 small things: the poppadom portion didn’t match the quantity for our table - there wasn’t one each as we would usually expect. Not a bad thing, just confusing. Although the ambience is relatively quiet and relaxed, the blender is used occasionally to make drinks and it is very loud. These are minor things that are not a huge issue overall - it’s all about the food and we just couldn’t fault the flavours and texture of everything. We will absolutely be back again. Thank you

    The door was opened for me and I was addressed by my name. I was very welcomed. The food was nice but the parantha was more like a buttered roti/naan, not what I expected ans it was very crispy thin. The samosa chaat and and gol gappe was nice. We ordered a pot of desi tea that was lovely. The service was good. I would go again to try the curries. The dessert we ordered gulab jamun was okay rasmalai was different not bad but not something I’d have again. Over all it was nice.

    An excellent evening. The food was brilliant, there are a lot of Indian restaurants in Manchester but this has something different and unique in its menu and flavours. I was thoroughly impressed. A regular place to visit I feel. Was made to feel very welcome.

    Staff, lovely. Place, very nice. Sorry, but food disappointing. The only thing which was good was the lamb chop starter, which was delicious. Butter chicken, ho-hum, lamb shank, didn't taste nice, black lentil daal, bland.

    Second visit to Indian Affair and it was as good as the first. Slowly working through the menu to try everything and so far, everything has been fantastic. Really efficient and friendly staff and the owner is very amiable. A really great place.

    Contemporary place. Can’t fault the food. Flavours were really fresh and it was nice to have cocktails on the menu as well as beers that aren’t just cobra. We pigged out and got 3 starters and mains. Would defiantly come back. Owner was nice and friendly too.

    Lovely food , good value for money and we really thought we would go back until we were asked to leave or sit outside as we’d been at our table for too long. We were there for less than 2 hours and no one else is the restaurant was asked to leave , very disappointing end !
