We went for a pre theatre dinner.. and on approach nearly left, as it is in a fairly grotty hotel. But we decided to put our best foot forward, as reviews had been good. Once we were in the dining area, it was fantastic. Food delicious. Staff attentive and knowledgeable. We would definitely go again.

Really great Indian restaurant located inside a pretty ok pub. Once inside the restaurant part you don't notice the pub, which is good. The food is some of the best I've had (think London fine-dining, one up from Dishoom perhaps?) We had the Red Snapper, and chicken drumsticks (Tangri Kebab) to start. The butter chicken (Chicken Makani), and Rajasthani Lamb, with the truly wonderful South Indian Puloa, and plain nan for mains. The bill was pleasantly modest, and we left happy and nicely full! Some slight negatives - the wine choice is limited, and it was sometimes difficult to be understood by our server. Overall - Very highly recommended!

The service matches a high end restaurant. Have visited many times over the last couple of years and the quality of the food still remains exceptionally high. The staff and owner are more than happy to spend time with you explaining the dishes on the menu. In my opinion the Indian Racer Cafe is one of the best Indian restaurants in the Birmingham area and a must for lovers of quality authentic Indian food.

Food was good, staff very attentive nice selection of dishes with correct amount of choice, nice size portions not to big. Food seemed to be prepared to order and each dish tasted how it was explained on the menu

Food is as normal, peerless!!! I could eat here every week very happily. The food is fabulous, spicy without a chilli burn.

The food was very tasty and the service was the best that we have experienced for some time! It is not cheap but it is worth the money! Would defo visit again if in the area.

Good sized portions, particularly enjoyed the Rajasthani lamb and the chicken biryani. Being in a pub had a nice selection of beers. Attentive service and I wish it were my local curry house.
