It was a lovely date night, the food was great, and definitely one of the best sushi's in Dublin. We were a few minutes late to the reservation, but no problems there, and as per request they had a really nice table ready for us. The service overall was good, and the environment was very calm, with music playing in the background. I definitely recommend J2 Sushi & Grill, and not only for date nights. I'd say if you like Japanese cuisine, you have to try it.

I found hair in sushi. and the rolls were very small. the room is good, with a beautiful view, but the windows are dirty.

Really great little find on the river … all the dishes we had were excellent, from sushi to gyoza to crunchy shrimp to tempura roll.

The restaurant was an easy walk from our hotel. We made reservations but there was only one other person dining when we arrived. However, there was a constant stream of Take Away orders whilst eating. Service was friendly and the wait for two rolls was very reasonable. Sushi was fresh and portions generous. By the time we left, several more tables had filled. The location was lovely - right on the water.

Staff were so friendly and attentive! Food was outstanding. They were also accommodating that my friends arrived slightly later than planned. Good value sushi and amazing quality I had the volcano roll and we shared karagge amazing choice of sake options too.

Fantastic value for the range of sushi we had on the mixed plate, delicious bento boxes. Super staff. Food was delivered promptly and we were not rushed at all. Great place to eat if heading for a gig at the 3 Arena. Really good value and we will be going back.

The experience was amazing. The staff were very friendly. The atmosphere was lovely and the place is beautiful. The location is so convenient. Just 3 minutes walk from the Luas. The food came out in great time and everything tasted amazing. I will definitely eat here again

Lovely food and service, amazing location. Nice personnel. Cozy place just a little cold. It was freezing outside maybe the glasses did not help. Smoking area outside kind of useless. Alla in all I would recommend it.

The shushi rice was not sticky enough, and the entire dish came forth as being sloppy. The maki rolls were not closed up properly and fell apart. The rice was so loose that we ended up with more rice on our table and soy sauce bowls than in our mouths. We had the 40-piece combo, and the tuna in the Spicy Tuna rolls was so salty that we didn't need to dip it in the soy sauce. The table next to us complained about the shushi rice to the waiter and the construction of their shushi as well. The poor waiter had to explain that the chef had 10 years experience in making shushi. The course served was more like an amature trying to get praised like a spoiled child. The shushi aren't cheap, especially being it Dublin, where everything is expensive. DO BETTER! If it was not for the service and the fresh ingredients, I would've given it a 2 or a 1 overall.

Food was below average. We ordered the tempura and it came with no dipping sauce. First time I’ve experienced this. The sushi rice wasn’t great quality, no better than what I would make at home. Edamame was served nearly cold. Service was very friendly. But I wouldn’t recommend or go back.
