   The owner was super helpful and friendly. The happy hour menu was a great value and had tons of selection. I dined with a pescetarian and a vegetarian and there were lots of options for both! The open concept kitchen is super cool - you get to watch the bao being made!

   We arrived for our reservation but they missed it in their system so we had to wait for a table upon our arrival. They were very apologetic about it and tried to accommodate us quickly as possible. The food was only ok but not memorable, nothing to make me want to come back. The overall restaurant didn’t feel clean. The service wasn’t great either but again, they were apologetic.

   Menu prices appeared to be high compared to competitors. But portion size was definitely larger. Great friendly service and quaint ambience. Presentation for signature bao is excellent

   Friendly service, delicious food. Reasonably priced (economical). The manager went an extra mile to help us and we totally appreciate it. We will go back there for their delicious food in the near future.

   Food was great and the ambience was not that bad. Food came out pretty quick too with a great selection of Vegetarian food too! If you go during Happy Hour then it will be a great way to fill up on lots of food for a cheap price. Service was good for most of the staff…there was just one staff (manager maybe?) that was a bit overwhelming in how dramatic and awkward he made things to the point where we were a bit uncomfortable during our meal. He blew things out of proportion for another customer and was not being fair to the employee(s).

   The chair at the restaurant broke (a leg unscrewed) underneath my partner causing my partner to fall backwards and injure his back/elbows and neck. He was a couple centimetres away from hitting his head on the table behind him and could have suffered a bad concussion. Unfortunately none of the servers or staff at the restaurant offered to compensate our meal or even a part of the meal for their negligence to check the chairs for the safety of customers. They just said they were sorry. My partner woke up the next day in excruciating pain and could barely walk or sit up from bed… he went to emergency at the hospital the next day and got 3 steroid injections for numbing his back and neck because it was so bad that even strong pain killers did not work to stop the pain. He has an X-ray booked next week to ensure his tailbone isn’t broken. I think the restaurant could have handled this situation a lot better and needs to throw out those cheap chair that they use for customers. If this happened to an older person or someone hit their head from the fall it could be really bad or even deathly. We are very disappointed and upset. My partner now has medical expenses that need to be paid and therapy for his back, so we will have to work that out with the restaurant directly or through their insurance.

    Another great experience at Jingle Bao that consistently delivers great all day dim sum. Fantastic dumplings and lots of hot tea on a cold rainy night makes this a great choice.

    All the baos were sooooo good! Overall everything our table ordered was delicious and there was nothing we didn’t like. The service was also amazing. I highly recommend this place and hope to come back again in the future!

    If you can put aside that the dumplings don’t look as appetizing on the plate as they do in the posters on the wall; they tasted delicious. We loved the unique and delicious flavours in each different colour with a matching warm broth. The bottom of the dumplings had that perfect sag that indicates they are fresh and hand made. Then tops were less perfect, and attention to detail on the creasing could be better and a few had chunks of white flour, probably from the hand forming process, caked into the creases at the top of the dumpling, which spoiled the look and hardened the texture a little at the tip. Attention to detail matters, if a perfect close up shot of a signature product is going be what is in on the website, the sign outside the shop, and the posters in the walls, then the dish that is placed on the table should look exactly like that. However, once you get over that initial disappointment and bite into the dumplings you will easily forget those first impressions and really enjoy these warm soupy dumplings!

    I had the Valentine's day package and no doubt the lobster was good but for the price everything else that came with it felt underwhelming. We got 4 baos with different flavors but we had to share and nibble each one to try them all. Why not at least 2 of each flavor? 1 per person. Also the baos were Luke warm. The main dish was literally fried rice with nuts and raisins... I mean for a main dish you would expect more. For over 120 dollars... Hm with that money I can go to the keg or something and get real satisfied. I recommend not the package deals but just order off the menu for better value.
