Originally called Linden House, a Boarding School for girls from the 1820’s for much of the 19th Century until it became the
private residence of a local Doctor. In 1890 the proprietor of The George Hotel, adjacent to Linden House purchased the
building and over the decades it was integrated into The George Hotel. Now called the Ramada Solihull, purchased in 2012 by SGS Hotels (UK) Ltd, a subsidiary of the Subhash Gulati Group based in India, it was the vision of the group’s chairman Mr. Subhash Gulati and his family to bring the rich tradition along with the distinct local styles and flavours of North West India, most famously the Tandoori style of cooking to both the local area and customers at the hotel.

Third visit, went with some friends this time who really enjoyed the food. We all had a Biryani, one veggie, two Lamb and one chicken. The Lamb was good, but could have done with a bit more meat. The Chicken & Veggie were really good dishes. Pleasant service, Spice level just right.

Convenient to have the restaurant within the Ramada Hotel. Good value with the meal and drinks for 4 adults costing less than £80. Reasonable menu similar to most High Street Indian restaurants. Food was well cooked and flavoursome.

They did not have our booking and to compound this we had to wait an hour for a table despite us sitting at an empty table. They made poor excuses regarding the booking and no concession because of it. Food was ok although their starter of lamb chops was only one chop, bunch of amateurs.

My daughter and I enjoyed our visit but we're slightly disappointed that it was just a festive menu...which we weren't aware of...food was tasty but would have been happier to have some standard Indian fare...but would certainly eat there again.

Only 4 stars awarded for overall as table booked for 8 pm and had to wait 20 minutes whilst table made available. Service was v good and offered free drink whilst waiting. Food was excellent; most of the diners were Asian, always a good sign. This was my second visit, and I will certainly eat here again and recommend to my friends

Loved Jiyaan, we had a great table next to the window, the food and service was very impressive. Would highly recommend and about to reserve another table!

Very difficult to write a review when you make an OpenTable reservation for your wedding anniversary, turn up at the restaurant and find it CLOSED!!!!

We booked a table of 6, and when we arrived there was no one to meet us. We had to grab a passing waiter to ask where our table was. It wasn't very busy, but it felt like the staff we'were too pre occupied to notice us. We received very abrupt service, and the worst bit was a waiter arrived with a tray of 6 chicken curries, but didn't know what they were, and proceeded to put them in the middle of the table for us to figure out whose was what!. They ranged from madras to passander!. We were given a round of free drinks, but our evening was very disappointing. It appeared to be hotel staff who are not properly trained to work in the Indian restaurant.
