   You can never go wrong at Joe Fortes. The food is always fresh and perfect. Our server was very friendly and took special care with my dad who is hard of hearing. I'll be back.

   We were stunned by how well we were treated! We adored everyone! The staff, down to the food and of course the ambience. We were in love with the place and one bite took us to another place!

   The tables were quite close to each other and it was pretty warm, felt like there was no A/C, food was okay. I was surprised they charged us a "birthday treat". The server didn't mention the restaurant would charge us on this as we didn't request or demand the arrangement, it was presented to us as "we got a little treat on your birthday" so we thought it was complimentary.....maybe I should had asked. The service was great, I really like the server for our table.

   We had a wonderful dinner from start to finish. We were greeted promptly, asked about our seating preference, and given a lovely table. Our server was friendly and professional and made some excellent recommendations. Our meals were delicious and dessert (the Lemon Ice Cake) was worth every calorie. I had the Sockeye Salmon special and my husband had the cedar plank salmon, we both enjoyed our meals.The wine list has some good selections and the prices good.

   Birthday celebration. Had happy hour menu. Tried 90% of menu. Prices were reasonable for the happy hour dishes. All prawns were well prepared and were succulent. The raw oysters were fresh and served quickly.

   Definitely a great dining experience as we had never been before but way too over priced for the food. Although my husband really enjoyed his steak which was cooked perfectly. My seafood linguini unfortunately had hard shells or something that I was biting into so that was unfortunate and I couldn’t finish my dinner because of it.

    We were looking forward to dining at Joe Fortes because of its reputation in Vancouver but left slightly underwhelmed. The dining room has an old world feel which is quite romantic. Service was great. We ordered the special that night which was Atlantic char served with potatoes and asparagus and the seafood cioppino. Both dishes were good but quite basic in terms of flavour. Overall a positive experience but probably wouldn’t go again

    Our dining experience was made even better with Nyat being our server! She made our dining experience at Joe Fortes a memorable one! Great atmosphere and vibe along with a great menu. Definitely would recommend this restaurant! Cheers 🍷

    Excellent brunch experience. Everyone raves about the chicken and waffles, and they were good, but the fish & chips and the cocktails were even better. Incredible service, too. Beautiful rooftop garden area. Just a lovely experience overall.

    Happy hour was good value. Food though was suprisngly just above average considering we were expecting well above average (although the carrot cake was 5 stars). We visited in August and the restaurant was uncomfortably warm. Overall, the experience was good. But nothing to write home about.

    Definitely recommend sitting on the rooftop if you can during the warmer months. Great food and service. My mom and I ordered salmon and was truly delicious—some of the freshest salmon! My mom also ordered oysters and said they were the best she had ever had (from Chef’s Creek from Banes Bay). Such a highlight of our visit to Vancouver! Also our server, Boyd I believe, made us the best iced coffee ever!

    Best steak I've ever had. Always my favorite restaurant in Vancouver! The maitre d really helped me find a table that wasn't too hot. No air conditioning and very loud inside. What a vibrant restaurant this is!

    The food, service and ambience was fantastic, but the wine menu was extremely confusing and put a bit of a damper on our evening. We thought we had ordered a bottle of wine for a certain price, but it was actually per glass. Our server handled it wonderfully, but I think the wine list needs to be more clear. We’ll definitely be back, but will have to rethink our wine order. The wine itself was excellent.

    This is our first time dining and trying Happy Hour at Joe Fortes. The food was superb, everything came so fast. Our server was fantastic, she truly made us feel welcomed and have been very attentive. Thank you

    My wife and I went on our anniversary. It was a fantastic experience. The menu came with a congratulatory note on it and they provided a free desert for my wife at the end of the meal. We always go to Joe’s for special occasions because of the amazing food and service, and will continue to do so. First rate!

    The service was good. The waitress was friendly and they gave me a free desert since it was my birthday. The food itself was mediocre. I got the seafood linguine which was only average tasting. My partner got the salmon with rice and veggies and that salmon tasted so bland. There was zero seasoning on it and it was a struggle getting it down my throat. The only good thing on that salmon plate were the potatoes and the purée. The salmon and rice was disappointing. I won’t be returning back. The tastiness of the food you get for your money is not worth it in my opinion.

    Johnny was very helpful in assisting us with our food choices. We arrived in Vancouver late and called to let Joe Fortes know we would be 15 minutes late. The lady who answered the phone was extremely accomodating and actually updated our reservation online and I received a confirmation of the time change immediately on my phone. Very well run establishment.
