Enjoyed a great 2 course lunch from the lunch menu. The food was well prepared and tasted amazing. The service was outstanding. Just the right amount of interaction and very pleasant. It was the first time and will be back. Had pre-informed them that it was my wife's birthday and they wrote a Happy Birthday message in chocolate...nice touch! Would have liked to have sampled the dessert menu but too full!

Another excellent visit however because our previous visits have been outstanding we just have some minor points which might just be personal preference. I personally found the fried chicken too salty and the desserts were a little disappointing

The Sunday menu was reasonably priced and the varied starters and mains were all of a good standard. Generally, the food was rich and boldly flavoured. Service was noticeably slow, particularly between the two courses, and the neighbouring table was compelled to ask about the status of their order, although the restaurant was less than half full. As it became busier (approx. 1430 onwards), it was quite noisy (hard surfaces?). All this being said, the food made it worth the visit.

Loved visiting Kala for their fourth birthday menu and paired wines. Each course was delicious and beautifully presented, tried a few new flavour combinations: duck and lemon, passionfruit and dark choc, chicken and cod. All superb!

Sunday roast was amazing as always. Best beef I've had on a roast in Manchester. My partner had the pork which he absolutely loves. All the trimmings were spot on too. Great service in Kala as well, all the staff are really personable and attentive. We love it.
